Can wal mart gun out of stock before the split
Historically when a stock splits the following year goes up drastically.
Thinking of putting 250 into walmart. Never considered investing with them before but honestly the stock split has me interested for sure. Thanks

I currently have about 895.5 shares plus I have been dca'n in Walmart over the years w/ the drip so after the split Monday I'll have close to 2700 shares 🙌🏾.

Stock splits change nothing about the fundamentals of a stock
Who cares? It only matters what the price on the chart does. 📈 💵 And the question is, what is the historical pattern for what the price of major stocks do after a split, especially if the stock has had previous splits. IN THEORY if you had a 10:1 split it should now trade 1/10th of the price, but that usually doesn’t happen! Look at Tesla, it went down after the 3:1 split in 2022, but it took weeks and only went down less than 30% before going up. But you’re up 200% in holdings! And it didn’t go down immediately!

What's up baby boy read about Walmart this morning.I was getting ready to head to Walmart for two reasons,they have a bank that I use and I was going to redeem my Walmart gift card that I accumulate from receipts and surveys.I also needed some more fruit to juice. yes, the yield does not change, you will get paid the same amount per quarter, it will not increase.
A nice stable stock to invest in with growth on the upside. In terms of dividends I like yieldmax/defiance funds.

Probably best to buy before the split. Find out when the ex-dividend date is. (The last date or day that you prove you're a stockholder BEFORE the split; then you can participate in the split.) Ask a library or a stock broker when that date is. Good luck 🍀🤞 to you, no matter what you decide.😊
Whether you buy before or after your value stays the same. You get more shares at a lower price. That’s it.
For the purpose of this video, definitely before. But like he also said in this video, by the numbers there is no literal difference between buying before or after the split.
The main takeaway here is that once the stock splits it becomes more appealing to us retail investors (and data shows price goes up nicely the year following a stock split) hence driving the stock itself higher afterwards.
I wonder what price it will be in a few years after the split. 🤔

Hey zeek Walmart just doesn't seem like a good long term investment for me. one my wife and 5 year old prefer target and when i look at target i see a lot of negatives with theft / and getting too involved with PC culture. the only big retailer i like is Costco. this stock split i see it as a gimmick , the fact the walmart pays dividends means they will be paying out more every quarter and putting less back into their business. the lower share price may help get more people to invest. i'm just not too excited about walmart but your videos are always worth the watch. thank you.
thats not how the dividends work after a stock split. it will be proportional. buy yes I like costco to as a company, I might have to look into them as well.
The split is Monday the 26th of February. If you want to buy before, get it by the end of this week.
