Whilst on one hand it reveals the hardwork & “Depth” behind what looks like effortless acting of Pankaj Ji, it also is a demo of how a good interviewer can open up & unleash an interviewee. One can assume that Smita ji does lots of hardwork behind scenes and has similar depth of character that she makes it look effortless when people open up to her.
Smita Ji One thing is sure, U could've equally or more successful in films had U been chose to as your carrier. Your expression 'Kamaal Ka'... U have demonstrated brilliant performance in this interview - as per with Pankaj Ji.
There were 2 cuts in between where the topic couldn't get completed (one, where Pankaj ji is talking about his work in Kannada film & the other, where you are talking about your relative who was advisor with Richard Attenborough @ 1:03:30). Other than that, the podcast was fabulous!👍👏
I've observed that Tripathis are one of the most learned castes (sub-caste) in India. They are masters of their art/profession whatever it may be. And have immense depth in character. Kudos to all the Tripathis of mother India

Smita ji, Pankaj ji wanted to delve into some inner trenches of deep surreal thoughts - bringing in Natyashastra, the perpetual acting even after the "cut". You could have explored more by being an empathetic listener, that too after him declaring, "Aaj baat karne ki mood mein hoon". Missed opportunity. Also, I disagree that just because he is a soft speaker, one is not scared of his negative avatars. They add a layer of complexity and shrewdness rather that is more unsettling than a simple scare or hatred. He is more nuanced.
Interview very intriguing . Would like to put forward a word on Lord Rama smile . Regarding lord Rama smile , it does mention in scriptures mandasmitha - Mandasmita (मन्दस्मित). -a gentle laugh, a smile. Body language ,smile or facial or body movements do show characteristic of person . How can one say smile , dressing. Walk , does not show characteristic of a person . Expression and characteristics do go hand in hand . If one deny I personally feel it is duplicity or hypocrisy. They do hold meaning
