As Japanese, I can tell you that real life Ninja can't use fire seal Jutsu, use body cloning jutsu or summon magical being and use them for battle. Ninja is a secret squad deployed mainly for assasination or secret sudden attack on enemy and there is no that eye jutsu.
I really like this, cause it showed how much Naruto drew from the real life historical ninjas. The whole Jutsu, or Ninpo, being based on the kinds of illusions that the real life ninjas used to fool their enemies was pretty interesting. And at the same time, not too surprising.
