@@PatioTanksFlowerhorns Any amount of chlorine is bad for fish all together. It burns their gills causing them to breath heavy because they can't get enough oxygen pretty much suffocates them. Chlorine also kills beneficial bacteria so you could be crashing your cycle without knowing. Never trust city tap water my friend. I live in Monterey Cali and I would never trust the city tap water, not even for my fish. What I'm trying to say is that any amount of chlorine is bad for the aquarium. Bad for the fish and bad for the beneficial bacteria colony living in the tank.
This is kind of a dumb question, but does your city tap water have chlorine in it? Do you use any dechlorinator as you are doing water changes?
It does have it but doesn't affect my tank much since I only do a little amount of water change so I don't need dechlorinator.
