Sorry for the essay but I just need to get this out my chest. I can relate to what Boo may have felt here, having also lost one of my best friend to suicide, May last year. Our friendship began when I moved up a section in grade 10 after attaining a high rank in my previous class. I went from being in the fourth section in grade 9 to the third section in grade 10, and since I was new to the section and didn’t know anyone, he was the first to approach me. He helped me interact with others by including me in his friend group, and that’s how I quickly adapted to my new environment. He also shared his interest in K-pop with me, and through him, I began to like it more and more. He had always been a supportive friend, and up until senior high school, we remained close. When we started college, we parted ways as he chose a mechanical engineering course and I chose electrical engineering. Despite this, we kept in touch during our first year, even through online classes. We played games together and had many interactions. However, things started to change in our second year after the pandemic. Transitioning from online classes back to face-to-face learning was hard for both of us, but it affected him more. With more duties and responsibilities in our second year, we interacted less, each of us becoming busy with our own lives. Still, we managed to have some conversations and meetups from time to time. Unfortunately, he struggled academically, failing some subjects and having to retake them. I encouraged him, telling him that it is okay to fail and that failure isn't the end of it. I told him that he was strong and he could still catch up by enrolling in summer classes. By the time we became third years, I had even more responsibilities and activities to focus on, while he passed the subjects he had to retake. Sadly, he failed more subjects without me knowing, and by the time I found out, my words of encouragement were no longer enough to fill the void he was feeling. The pressure and feelings of being left behind, seeing his peers, including me, pass our subjects, must have weighed heavily on him, along with other struggles I may not have been aware of. Tragically, he took his own life. I had talked to him just days before his death, saying I might also fail some of my subjects and had to take supplementary exams, and even then, he still encouraged me. I didn't know that will be his last encouragement and even through his last moments he was thinking of me. He was still making jokes with me, so I thought he was fine, but he was actually hiding so much pain behind those jokes. I feel so sorry for him. He was there for me when I needed him, even though he didn’t know me yet, but I wasn’t there for him as his best friend during his toughest times. Now, every time I achieve something, I remember him. He helped me step out of my shell and become more social even as an introvert. He had a positive impact on my life, and I will forever be grateful for that, even though I deeply regret not being there when he needed me most.
This has to be the best, most heartfelt and emotional acceptance speech. It has all the hallmarks of a great speech: thanking the fans, recognizing their hard work, thanking their team, thanking their frienda and family, recognizing their fellow idols and the promise to keep putting out great music and performances. special shout out to Mingyu who put the spotlight on Woozi and Bumzu the award being an album award. very smart and classy of him.

He wasn’t even looking at the audience and DK was comforting both of them!❤️ DK is a very funny, talkative, and chaotic member(in a good way) but he’s also one of the most caring and knows how to comfort his members and you can see in his eyes just how much it hurts him to see the members hurting!❤️
Woozi's expression was honestly kind of like "really? Again?" SVT are just... chef's kiss, I love that they made sure to thank Woozi but I hope they know CARAT can tell just how much they really worked their asses off for this album

We know it hurts Woozi and has a deep impact (and all of them for sure) when that Director of a show told them they will never make it because they're too many, when it was included in their biggest award speech. We know it became something that they looked and made into a reason to show that person and everyone who ridiculed and looked down on them that their number 13, is one biggest reason why they are where they are now. Seventeen is not seventeen if they're not 13 and their success is much sweeter as shared by them. To that Director, the next time a huge group comes your way, instead of discouraging them, tell them "you can do it, look at Seventeen". I know you've hurt these precious souls with your reckless words, but I still thank you for inspiring them to reach that place you never thought they would. Seventeen, you really are the perfect example of "clap back in grace and class". You were so young back then when you heard those words from a big person in this industry, but look at you now. I hope you all will heal from those past wounds, I know it may leave a scar, but those scars are also your trophies. Thank you for inspiring people not just Carats to do better than we did yesterday even if we think it was already the best. I became a Carat because I’ve never seen a group like Seventeen. They’re growth has been organic, and though it has been a really long journey for them, they stuck together and now made it together. They are very committed to their craft - you could still see the passion despite being 10 years in the game. You will never catch them lacking, you can’t even nitpick among the members because it’s like they share the same energy and spirit.
I always come back in here everytime I feel sad. This moment really gives encouragement to kindly and patiently to do anything. No matter how long it takes, something great will really happen and never betray my effort to reach dreams.
This year's MAMA Awards season is here again, and I find myself reflecting on old memories. I used to be the kind of person who never started conversations, avoided people even on social media and never left comments or liked videos. I was full of insecurities. My only source of peace and light was, and still is, Seventeen. Thanks to them, this year, I’ve been able to overcome many of my insecurities. I’ve learned to love myself, express myself freely, and stop worrying about what others think. I’m trying to love myself more each day and become braver and more courageous. Unknowingly my tears flooded because i just started knowing astro because of moonbin and next day i found out he is dead which literally made me cry. "Why there were no one to help him" is the thing came to my mind. Last time this thought came to my mind was when shinee jonghyun dead. He was doing a live and asking, if he was talented or not. Both moonbin amd jonghyun are gems to music world and we going to miss it forever. No replacement can be done. Btw again i am happy svt won the daesang for album of the year.

I'm back here on this Saturday afternoon, getting my daily does of sunshine. I just realized that our boys are real respectful and appreciative. They made a point of thanking just about everyone that made their award possible, but I want to thank them. If it wasn't for their hard work and especially their perseverance, it wouldn't have been possible. What a great group of gentleman we stan!!

i’m not a carat or a fan of the group moonbin was in (i’m sorry i don’t remember the name), but the member mentioning him was so expectedly raw. kpop is something a little shallow, i get why, you can’t mention certain things even if you want to. that moment seemed totally unplanned and he just had to say something he even said he didn’t know if he should say it. it was very emotional and very real, and i think he’s very brave for that
moonbin is a member of astro and has been friends with seungkwan (member who thanked him) since early 2016 I believe. out of a lot of the idol friendships in the industry moonbin and seungkwan's friendship is like the most well known.. all of astro is friends with seventeen and moonbin has always shown great respect and adoration towards seventeen especially woozi! woozi being their producer and having been the one who created their entire discography and other idols' songs, moonbin really looked up to him. one of woozi's solos "what kind of future" wasn't officially released until earlier this year as a present for moonbin's birthday.

i’m not a carat or a fan of the group moonbin was in (i’m sorry i don’t remember the name), but the member mentioning him was so expectedly raw. kpop is something a little shallow, i get why, you can’t mention certain things even if you want to. that moment seemed totally unplanned and he just had to say something he even said he didn’t know if he should say it. it was very emotional and very real, and i think he’s very brave for that
moonbin is a member of astro and has been friends with seungkwan (member who thanked him) since early 2016 I believe. out of a lot of the idol friendships in the industry moonbin and seungkwan's friendship is like the most well known.. all of astro is friends with seventeen and moonbin has always shown great respect and adoration towards seventeen especially woozi! woozi being their producer and having been the one who created their entire discography and other idols' songs, moonbin really looked up to him. one of woozi's solos "what kind of future" wasn't officially released until earlier this year as a present for moonbin's birthday.
