Portsmouth Festive Half Marathon, 17th December 2023

- Come with me on a warm run in Portsmouth, Hampshire - dressed as Santa Claus! We run from from Southsea Esplanade around the east side of Portsea Island, to the top of Langstone Harbour and back again, with lovely views of Hayling Island!
Mostly hard-packed trails or tarmac (except for the muddy beach section - twice!), it's a super place for a run!
I'm a middle-aged, leisure runner who enjoys the countryside - why not come along with me as I explore new places and find out about them?

Well done Julian! I ran the marathon on Sunday and that wind on the last couple of miles along Southsea was tough going!
Well done you! Yes, quite the headwind, wasnt it! I was also suffering from some chafing on my thighs from that cotton Santa outfit, so very glad I was only doing the half!

Didn't seem to be any marshals on the route? A half mile walk to get your medal? Think I'll give this one a miss lol
Marshals were good - xmas outfits rather than hiviz! The recommended car park was 400m one way from the finish, medlas 400m t 0:09 he other - quite odd really!
