Your video is very informative. One question I have. How long is darjeeling mall from this hotel? And whether the road is smooth or steep? We will be having our aged parents to accompany with us.
8 mins walking. Road is slightly sloppy. Car will reach in front of hotel.

How is Darjeeling tourist lodge. But the said hotel means Darjeeling tourist lodge is very tough for available. Is it so? I think that tourist lodge is best one
Darjeeling tourist lodge is located in the best location of Darjeeling. One can have Kanchan jhngha view from all rooms of main building. Yes, one need to book well in advance. But major issue we faced in our last trip was with maintenance. Food was also not up to the mark. I have 2 vlog on Darjeeling Tourist Lodge. You can watch it by going to my Darjeeling playlist.

It will take 8-10 minutes. But road is smooth to walk. It should not be a problem for your parents.

অফ-সিজনে প্রতি রাতে INR 3000-3500 tariff এরম কোন হোটেলর সন্ধান দিতে পারবেন যার balcony আছে এবং দুর্দান্ত view পাওয়া যাবে ? আমার mall road থাকার দরকার নেই, তবে আমি একটি বারান্দা আছে বা রুম থেকে ভালো view আছে সেরম হোটেল খুঁজছি যেখানে আমরা বসে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা উপভোগ করতে পারি। আমি জুলাই মাসে 2023 দার্জিলিং যাওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করছি । যদি গাইড করতে পারেন কৃতজ্ঞ থাকবো |

Are taxis allowed to drop guests at the gate of hermitage?
No. They will drop you in front of governor house. It's a 2-3 min walk from there. Hotel stuffs helped us on luggage carrying.

Price wise Darjeeling Tourist Lodge. However, they had maintaince issue. On the other hand, hermitage is little pricy, but their all room has kanchanjhangha view. Rooms are also very clean.
Both are located in prime locations.
