This is a perfect tutorial. The close-ups are so helpful, and the finished piece is beautiful. I am learning how to work with bronze clay, and I look forward to following you! Thank you!
Hi, Thank you! Bronze jewelry can darken over time due to oxidation, but you can prevent this with proper care. Store your bronze pieces in a dry place, preferably in a sealed bag or container to minimize exposure to air. You can also apply a clear lacquer or wax to protect the surface. If they do darken, you can clean them with a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda, or use a commercial bronze cleaner. Hope this helps!
So beautiful! Thank you so much for the tutorial. May I ask how long you ended up firing the second time? Says 40-120 minutes?? Would also love to know what the approximate thickness of those charms were?
For maximum strength and flexibility, we recommend firing the piece for up to 2 hours. It is approximately 1.5mm thick. The minimum thickness for Metal Clay jewelry should be 1mm.
Hello! Thank u for the tutorial. I see than clay around the stones doesn’t crack despite the shrinkage. I suppose that is because the stones are small. But what about bigger stones -4-6mm? I have a problem: bronze always cracks 😢

Thank you so much for responding so quickly! I appreciate your tutorials they are fantastic. Looking forward for your new projects :)
Can you use a torch if you don't have a kiln?
Unfortunately not. Only 999 silverclays can be fired with the torch.

Thank you for your feedback! Yes you can use bigger stones from 4-6mm. What clay do you use? 😊
@@metalclay-silberladen-at I use Prometheus bronze clay. When I inset stones in wet clay, it always cracks. I can’t understand why it cracks
Here you can find the clay we use: www.silberladen.at/index.php?cat=c106_Bronze-bronze.html
