I was incarcerated and I was 20 and my girlfriend was 18 and she wrote me the lyrics to this song and it broke me really bad and I vowed that I would never put Anyone thru something like the way I did to her..We have 2 beautiful daughters that are grown up and successful and I pray that they know that our love was real…We are now in our 40’s and know that whatever happens we love what we had!🙏

Sometimes I try to avoid listening to these golden 80s and 90s songs, most of the time they make cry such a simple and beautiful world we had back then, I always wondered how things have changed.

This was our song. 5 months later she was killed in a car crash. 3 days after her death I recieved a delayed letter from her saying she wanted me back. I was devastated twice in one week. I was 21 at the time. All these years later this song hits home. Treasure what you have.

My oldest daughter is 28 and it reminds me of her Dad so much! We split and he got married and is very successful but his wife is very ill in a wheelchair and he runs his own business and comes home to take care of her! I'm so happy that he found love and success, it's hard enough to find just one! I would be lying if I said it doesn't hurt all these years later! He was an addict and poor when they got together and still loved him and helped him through it all! She is very good to my daughter and granddaughters and they love her very much,so even though it hurts I'm blessed that he married such a wonderful strong wife!!!

Damn give me the 90s back, when we would listen to music without scrolling our phones at the same time! We would hear every note, every word so deeply, and we would literally connect to the song and feel its message. Kids these days just don't have that connection to music like we did. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I miss good music. I miss alot of things that I can never get back nor ever see again.
Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me and brings me to tears about my older sister who passed away. This song is about a guy in love with a girl, but I associate it with the love I had for my sister, she taught me so much more than my older brother when we were young, I find it hard to believe she is gone and I couln't help her at that time...RIP my L7, can't wait to meet you again in the afterlife!!

Everything is so different today. Heart, soul and creativity have left us there is a few out there in all styles keeping it alive but not enough.

Nobody Knows was Written By Joe Rich and Don Dubos'e in Sept 1993. It was later produced and performed By Tony Rich in 1995 on Laface records and became a world wide pop hit in 1996. Later that year Country Singer Kevin Sharp went #1 for 5 weeks on the country charts.

This song means so much to me I had a very good friend die way to early and she told me this would always be our song and when my first son was being delivered this song was playing over the radio in the operating room the moment he was being delivered and now I miss both of them bc I lost my sons mother due to my stupid decisions but will always love them both and love this song forever

Song brings sad memories for me. My father used to play this all the time when my parents separated then divorced. It was the first time I seen a man actually vulnerable and heart-broken.

Of all the love songs the world has to offer, this is probably the only one that properly, sincerely and accurately describes the feelings of either breaking up from someone you love, or losing a partner from death, and the feelings and grief a person goes through in their mind.
This song man... I don't think anybody gets close to describing the emotional journey of love lost nowadays besides Adele. Most artists (ironically) seem to kinda romanticize the whole thing. This song is crafted in its entirety to try to express that journey. I didn't get that when I was 3 and first heard this song...but man. Senior in college now, been through some things that make me really appreciate this song and those who can make songs like this.

A country artist named Kevin Sharp did a beautiful cover to this song in the 90s. It stayed on the charts for weeks. He was battling cancer. Sadly, he passed away 6 years ago. It's beautiful when artists from different genres share their songs. The song was beautiful either way but when Kevin sang this song it hit on a spiritual level. "I'm dying inside and nobody knows it but me." Rest in heaven Kevin. ❤️

I'm 68 and I found this Gem in 2019...my friend wanted to hear this...we were on a road trip. I had never heard it. I found it on utube and I was blown away...I love it. The next year covid hit and my frien lost his battle and past in April that year. He was one of the first that died. This really hits home now....❤😢
