Great question Dawn. Honestly, not a big fan of blush on men. Unless they truly are looking washed out. Start with a contour below the cheek bone (per the video). If you need a little color a "coral" tone on the cheek is best. Under lights it neutralizes. I find a lot of school putting way to much makeup on men. If its a smaller theater men may only need powder. Hope that helps!

Great tutorial. Complete beginner and I really appreciated the info about shading for different types of theaters.

+Digisciple My pleasure! Glad it could help. I would add, however, if you are in a small theater, I rarely recommend a full face of makeup. This is good for a larger auditorium.

Oh god, thank you for this! We have a Performing Arts class and I wanted to get a heads up on our next lesson, which is theater makeup.
Oh, by the way, are the products you mentioned available in the Philippines? Thanks.

This is a great tutorial, but the music in the background is distracting.

I would like to see a transformation of a male to female and female to male.
