Thank you for hinting on this eBay supplier. I am perusing their wares and looks like I will be collecting quite a few things, including their .375 molds! Great stuff!
Thanks for sharing this article Steve. I know how you feel about giving things away. I've given many things away over the years and I kick myself all the time for doing it. Like the book you mentioned, some of the things I let go of can never be replaced. Thanks for sharing another great video. It's too bad about the banned ammo and components, like you said, maybe some day we'll have straight thinkers making our laws. Till the next time, "Keep your powder dry". Stan
HM - Thanks, Stan. It's really a shame, because of the accusations of collusion, there dare not be any relaxing of ammo and components importing from Russia as that would look like "...see - he's in cahoots". This is all the same as what was happening with McCarthyism back in the 50s and 60s except it's all directed at one individual instead of at as many who needed to be out of favor as possible. Best to ya, Stan -- FC Steve
Your parcel hasn’t been shipped via France. The language of international postal service is French and therefore all the markings are in french language.
chevy6299 - The testing on these slugs has already been done. I was sent 25 each of the hydrant and frangible slugs for testing, and the accuracy was so good that I bought the hydrant slug mold. -needs the specail tail wads though. the frangible slugs can be screwed onto BPI Builandi wads, and they shot very accurately also - even outshooting factory Brennekes at 25 and 50 yards 3 and 5 shot groups. Have a great day, FC Steve
Matt Lord - Having done my first casting session with that mold, there is much information that has been gained...the video is in the making. Have a great day, FC Steve
hi guys Nigel form uk just bought the italian mould i haven't cast with it yet but quality is very good, I ordered on 1st october it arrived on 9th absolutely brilliant
Not sure why you won't do reloading videos. There are tons of videos from you tubers still up. If it was against the rules wouldn't they be blacklisted by now?
BREAKER UNREFINED - It's all YT's fault - Since the last bad incidents, YT issued the guidelines and the word was that reloading videos were prohibited. There was some striking of channels, but nothing across the board. There have been no other announcements, explanations, or additional information from YT since. But the guidelines are still there. If there is another bad PR incident, YT may have the impetus to enforce the guidelines. All it takes is for their computers to flag the channels and remove them. Any posted reloading videos leave the channels at risk. Many have removed the reloading videos, and some are taking the chance that YT did not mean what they said...I prefer to wait until they clarify, modify or reconsider their guidelines with the appertaining announcements. Let's hope there are no more bad PR incidents out there. Best to ya, FC Steve
BEAKER UNREFINED a you tuber "loads of bacon" started a new network called the reloaders network. good place to hang out with like minded folks. they cover everything from A to Z on reloading
my1956effie - I've already done the shooting of groups, chrono and SD...I only had 25 Russian hydrant and 25 Russian frangible slug/wad assemblies sent by Thors Axe to me to test, and I used them all up. The results are posted in videos on another platform where the videos are exclusive for that platform. However, the results were so good, I video announced the summation here. I'm sure that eventually, another shooter will post the same testing on YT, but you all need to hear the good news. Let's simply report that the Russian hydrant and frangible slugs outshot factory Brennekes and my best slug reloads at 25 and 50 yards using 3 and 5 shot group testing. I immediately ordered my own Russian slug mold and just received it. However, a casting video on those slugs will soon be posted here. The slugs require proprietary wads for best performance, and those will take a while to acquire. Best to ya, FC Steve
Hello from Canada FortuneCookie45! This looks like a great mold but do you happen to know where you can get the specific wads? I don't see them anywhere on eBay. Is this a case where you have to get them directly from Russia?
CC - Yes, those wads come directly from Russia...However, Thors Axe has ordered the wads from Russia and will be making them available from TheReloaderNetwork. The Russian suppliers have limited Dave to 3000 wads though. Dave tested the slugs w/o the special tail wads and the accuracy was not impressive. With the tail wads, the accuracy is on par with the best factory slugs and will outshoot the others. As you see from this video, I just received my mold. Best to ya, FC Steve
Franco Barrientos - I've already done the shooting of groups, chrono and SD...I only had 25 Russian hydrant and 25 Russian frangible slug/wad assemblies to test and used them all up. Chost Shadow - But I am finding that the sheer mass of it is not enough to hold the heat - I need to really run the alloy hot to compensate...more on this next casting session... Good castin' to ya, FC Steve
Matt Lord- Today's Russia gate is smacking of collusion and is nothing more than what was done with McCarthyism back in the 50s and 60s...almost anyone could be accused of having connections with Communism and the questioning, finger pointing and badgering did not stop. Best to ya, FC Steve
In Europe its not a problem to get legal(with permit) russian ammo and components ,tru the gunstores. russian ,polisch ,chech hungary(all former communist country`s) they know how to make guns and ammo.i do like the federal ,cci primers but they cost up to 3 times(in the store as much here in Europe) as Murom ,S&B ,Gynex primers and thats ridiculous ,because they are also like CCi federal winchester remington same mass produced, and energie and metals are also world market prices. So it does not matter much if a robot machine works in the USA ,Russia or Europe same costs to produce
Oh this is good,Fortune Cookie has a new toy. Back to some good slug loads. I first went to TH-cam because of my Russian made vepr 12, so I had to go to youtube to find out how to load my thirsty bastard / vepr 12 and FortuneCookie45LC helped me out evey step of the way. Thanks a bunch.

From Canada.........awesomeness......i want one!!
Cool looking mold :) Looking forward to seeing the slugs!
It looks like the halves have aluminum alignment bumps, not steel pins like American molds have, so it might wear out quickly.
Hope to see a casting video of this mold soon Steve. Best to you!
Looking forward to seeing the output you get from mold
Hey Steve, that looks like a really nice mold. Will check it out on the RN :-)
Thank you for hinting on this eBay supplier. I am perusing their wares and looks like I will be collecting quite a few things, including their .375 molds! Great stuff!
stephane matis - However, I still like our Lee, Lyman, NOE and Arsenal molds a lot...Good castin' to ya, FC Steve

FortuneCookie45LC I understand but I want to see the results of the ones you cast.

Very nice ! That is are very cool rig, that'll thump some steel down range...
Think about it,the cylinder shape means heating and cooling could be more even cast? Not sure.
Matt Lord - Having done my first casting session with that mold, there is much information that has been gained...the video is in the making. Have a great day, FC Steve
Looking forward to some range testing and maybe even some "Hot Lead Zone" slug making.

French markings for airmail is common, well old school.
Dwayne Morton - OK that..!! Thanks for the info....FC Steve
And thank you sir for doing the research and the video.
cylindrical mold is better for even heat dissipation, temperature will be more even .
Chost Shadow - But I am finding that the sheer mass of it is not enough to hold the heat - I need to really run the alloy hot to compensate...more on this next casting session... Good castin' to ya, FC Steve
