    I've had mine for almost a year now and the only issue I have with it which is becoming a deal breaker is that my back hurts after sitting in it. That said, I love having a cockpit setup and for those with better backs or still in their youth - this is a great starter.

    Thanks for sharing. Question. Does the simulator setup accomdate a center stick such as a VKB gunfighter long, while still h ing the keyboard there? Thanks in advance.

    Very good video. Thank you very much. That thing seems to be sturdier than other seats I've seen.

    I am considering this, as a VR pilot, to avoid hitting things around my desk when I need to operate some controls in the virtual plane with the controllers (I use X-Plane where you can perform actions with your hands) and also because in some positions they lose tracking as I have to place them on blindspots. With this cockpit I could properly seat in a better area so everything is tracked better, plus the advantage of being foldable, as I also have a problem with storage space, and also, inmersion.
    My question is, I will need to fold it after each use. Does it withstand many many fold/unfold cycles? How is the quality of the product in regards to that?
    Great video, as you show an actual use session.

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching! The product is quite sturdy, and I don't anticipate any issues with many folding/unfolding cycles. The only concern might arise with the controllers, joysticks, and throttles during these cycles. While it's possible to fold it with the mounted controllers , I don't believe it's safe enough for them. It's better to remove joystick and throttle with each fold cycle. However, if you place the folded seat in a secure location, you can fold everything up without encountering any problems. Regarding the VR controllers, please keep in mind that in front of you, there is support for the keyboard/yoke. It could be in the way unless it's open.

    Just saw a TH-cam ad for this and after trawling the web for more info, this is the only video I’ve found that hasn’t been posted by the makers of it - but you said they sponsored you…
    So there’s basically no info on it that comes without some bias, there has to be some downsides or difficulties with aspects of this, the wall to wall positive info just makes me think it sounds too good to be true.

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, thanks for watching!! They don't sponsored me, they just send me a unit to try it... after used it for while i can say that the only downside is probably the comfort. You need to place a pillow or something to make long flight.
      Perhaps it's subjective but i prefer the egg shape of the playseat challenge. You need to modify it yourself to attach throttle and joystick, because it's not meant for flight. There's no predrilled metal plates but i feel it more comfortable

      Alright man, nice.
      Cheers for the feedback, I’ll have a Google around.
      Prior to seeing the ad I didn’t actually realise there was anything like this on the market at all.

    Has anyone had issues with mounting the Thrustmaster Hotas One full kit on this chair? I bought the GT version for a flight simulator which I sent back as it did not have the mounting plates to mount the joystick and throttle (only two plates with nothing for the left side). The biggest issue was that when you separated the throttle and joystick to mount them, the connecting wire between them is too short to make the stretch across the chair. I contacted Next Level and they did not have any solutions for me. I was told that they had another customer with the same issue and apparently that person cut the wire and spliced a piece into it. Anyone here know of this being done? Thrustmaster would not make any suggestions or tell me what gauge wire or how many wires were inside the casing. The wire does not unplug from either the throttle or joystick and it's only about 20 inches fully stretched out. No way to mount them like this. Thoughts?

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it is pretty stable. The only downside is the comfort; you will need a pillow placed under your butt for added comfort, especially during long flight sessions. I discovered this after using it for a while.

    Interesting hardware, it seems the HOTAS supports have mounting holes for a variety of hardware. I wonder how it would fit with a centrally mounted stick though (the keyboard plate would be far too high).

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, unfortunately there's no support for central stick. The keyboard plate is good for yokes or steering wheels.

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, pretty comfortable, is large and adjustable. The only problem is on your bottom after long flight session... it's probably the shape, an egg shape seat is better but can be easily fixed with a pillow or something like that... Thanks for watching!!

  • @userwatttt
    @userwatttt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question - I’m looking at getting this seat (for F1). I also have HOTAS + DCS and looking at a vr headset. My question is, is this hardware (stick + mouse plate) and throttle mounting plate bought separately, or does it come with this chair? As opposed to it coming with just the gear shift mounter?
    If so, I may look at buying this place seat with the two extra mounting plates and then buying the gear shifter later on to save some $

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, every metal plate in this video comes pre drilled with the chair and allow you to install pretty much everything on it.

    • @userwatttt
      @userwatttt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FlightSimulation thanks, I'm aware they come pre-drilled. What I was wondering is if I were to get the "flight sim" version, if it comes with the gear shift mount as extra, so it's a quick swap out of plates (one with the throttle for the shifter) for racing. Or if I'd have to buy an extra plate for a multi-role chair.

    • @FlightSimulation
      @FlightSimulation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      there's no gear shift mount with the chair but you can probably use the steering wheel's plate. I have not used it because im using the keyboard. If your steering wheel can be attached to the keyboard support that is predrilled too you have an extra plate. If not you need to buy it
