My initial takeaway while watching this video is this: The fact that your home is decluttered and minimalized is why you have time to do all these camper makeovers. I am definitely not the type that would wallpaper a camper. But I wouldn't wallpaper anything. I've done a couple of wallpaper borders but never entire walls. Also I don't camp anymore. I loved it when I was a kid and the adults did all the work. As an adult, I'd have to do all that work. No thanks. But you do a beautiful job with your campers.
I love it. That sunshine wallpaper was worth the extra effort. I've seen some cool US map decals people add to campers to mark their travels. It'd be neat, especially since other people may use it without you to see all the places the camper has gone. That could go above the bed there and fill that space, but have a purpose too. Really fun makeover! We have a pop up camper, and I'd love to "make it cute" but my husband can't understand why anyone would do that. He didn't even understand why I thought we should paint in our house! He "let" me paint as long as he didn't have to do the work. 🤦🏻♀️😂
I think a large US map laminated on the back wall and some throw pillows in accent colors would balance it all out and some tiny indoor outdoor lights.
You could also take a sheet of your happy and colorful half-sun wallpaper and frame it! Hand it on the wall behind the bed! That would look really great with orange pillows!!!
❤❤❤ IDEA>>> I think the towel ladder would work there by flipping it upside down, attach it where the wall meets the ceiling and the curved part at the bottom … then it will be angled correctly!
The camper is adorable, your wallpaper is beautiful, don’t overthink it, take a day or two to let your subconscious do it’s work and then revisit it. Your bedspread is great, just put some colorful pillows on the whiter end to pick up the warm colors. Or use whatever inspiration comes to you, dear one. You’re doing great! Blessings 💕
A helpful hint about towels staying put while traveling.... After draping them over the ladder rung, attach a clothespin to both sides of the towel under the rung. The towel will stay put like a champ. I actually have my kitchen towel draped over a lower cabinet "over the door" rod, with a strong spring loaded clothespin keeping it in place. When my grandson visited, he couldn't figure out why when he tugged at the towel, it didn't come off. A chuckle and a win for Granny. ps. We didn't wallpaper a camper, but we did paint, added stenciling and put down new flooring. And then I let the towels provide some color and art work for the walls, and a throw blanket give some color to a bland couch. I also added some decor securely to the walls. The theme was pine trees, bears, and the great, rustic outdoors.
yes! we always used clothespins to secure our bath/kitchen towels to wherever they were hanging. And we hung artwork on the walls with industrial-strength Velcro (would probably use the Command Picture Hanging strips now, but they didn't exist back in those days). There were even a few times we traveled to visit extended family over Christmas vacation, and used the velcro to hang a "flat Christmas tree" and tiny stockings!
Just a random whimsical idea for that wall: battery operated pixie lights with little clips for photos. Take an Instax type camera on your trip and hang up family adventure photos as you go along. The fairy lights can be fun at night, lit up before bed. Love this cute camper! Now I'm wondering how we could get 9 in there 😂😂
I think the peanut is looking super cute! The painted walls helped tone down the cabinets. I'm always amazed what paint can do. For the space above the bed, I think a wall decal from etsy with something to do with "you are my sunshine" would be fun. Can't wait to see what you decide on.
I have never wallpapered anything. But watching this, inspires me. Doing that w a camper, so worth it. Love the wallpaper and bead spread. It’s so cute, bright and cheery ❤
We have a 2018 Winnebago Micro Minnie that is the same layout! Ours isn’t white or “brown”, it’s all light wood. We love it! I just started following as I’m trying to minimize but fun to know you’re a camper too! 👏👏👏
After watching you, I would try to wallpaper a camper if I had one. I love your remodels. Hoping Tom builds drawers for under the couch or you find sturdy baskets for the space.
Love what you have done so far. On that big wall over the bed, paint a basic mountain scene like you did in the picture in house over the computers using the colors in the bedspread. Also, love the idea of orange pillows that someone else suggested.
Just an idea for the white wall above the bed.... maybe duplicate the sunburst from the wallpaper in a large size on that wall. I think that would tie everything together. Get some orange pillow covers for the bed as well. It's looking so nice Dawn!
"Little 🌞 Sunshine" should be the name!! I love what yall have done so far. I agree with others as far as adding pillows that match the comfort to break up all the white. Also maybe a mural or stickers would look nice behind the bed. Great job!! You both make an excellent team! :)
I love the wallpaper and the comforter! A random idea, what if you flipped the ladder upside down? Put the straight end against the ceiling, and screw chair floor protectors to the ceiling and wall to hold the ladder in place. Slip the ends of the ladder into the protectors.
Wow, with all the accents, it really make the brown cabinets and the seat, now look like they were on purpose and very current; that being retro looking hip. Nicely done!
I love the way you handle things that go wrong. You just smile and soldier on! I love sprucing things up, so I definitely would paint (and maybe wallpaper) an RV. Nothing weird about that. Why wouldn't you feel great about making something better than when you first saw it? Great job Dawn! 🥰
Don't worry about white in a camper it's all washable. I have young twins and a vintage caravan I've restored and added solar to. It's only eleven foot by six foot so I painted everything white, even the floor. When you open the cupboards I have vintage wallpaper from my grandparents house inside the doors. It's really easy to keep clean and we just kick our shoes off at the door. I love your wallpaper, it's so fun and cheerful. I think your parents will love this caravan, it was really kind of you and Tom to do the renovation for them. Best wishes from Ella and the twins in Australia.
Oh no! It's a cliff hanger! haha I love seeing what you guys come up with! You're very inspirational! Back in the day, when we hung wallpaper (yes, fairly often!) we would fill the tub and drag the wallpaper through really quickly, then "book it" (fold it against itself) and it went quickly. You did a great job with what you had to work with (the wet rag)! The retro prints are so fun! Who knew that stuff would come back in style? Haha I was so eager to get rid of it all in the '80s!
It looks awesome!! Maybe a decal on that blank wall? Adventure awaits ..... or something like that. I'm with you on the camper remodels, so much fun! We've done 3 now and I loved them all.
I Love the muted mountains Adeline painted in one of the other trailers. I think muted mountains with co ordinating colors would be so cool on the wall behind the bed with the sun bedspread on it!! At least I think I'm remembering correctly that she painted some....
I love it, so cheery! You can always coffee or onion stain the white on the comforter to tone down the white. You could screw a mirror into the wall near the bed, or create a landscape painting that reflects the other artwork in the bedspread 💚 have fun, I had to forego my camper, and miss it terribly!
I questioned your sanity when I saw the wall paper and then ta da🎉 the comforter made it make sense! I would wallpaper and paint and refinish cabinets! That is a joy for me!
Idea for the bed wall; some kind of soft lighting for the evening. Fairy lights or curtain lights, battery powered. Or even colored puck lights that you just press on and off. Small colored panels of peg board comes to mind to hang moveable little shelves and hooks for reading glasses, jewelry, and such, that is unloaded at night. Yet placed in a location where it is not banged into. Lovely choices toward refreshing this small space.
This is giving me so much hope. I have been wanting a camper, but this is the only size we could pull since. We have three pre teen/teen girls and friends have discouraged me from getting something this small. You are showing me it can be done. Thank you!
How about hanging a poster of your favorite sunset on the wall over the bed? There are very light white or black 24x 36” poster frames with a clear plastic cover (no glass) that would work!
I love what you've done!💕Why not paint that wall orange? I think a mural would compete with the comforter. Match the orange to the sunbursts in the wallpaper 😁🌞
This weekend. Tomorrow church ladies are throwing me a birthday tea. And then Sunday we have church. Hoping not to so much otherwise. This entire last week (except for my birthday in the middle of the week) I have worked on projects that I've wanted to do for awhile. Cleaned and reorganized my basement. Was less cramped and could actually put things away. I finally filled out my children's growth chart. My oldest is 12 so I'm not that behind. 😂 And I'm finally (after a year and a half in this house) working on a gallery wall. We've had 0 personal photos up for the last 18 months. 🤦🏼♀️ Lastly, I've wittled down 3 large bins to 2 photo boxes left of photos to sort. I inherited photos from both my mother's and her mother's (plus my own and my husband's from adulthood). Boy it is a process! Can't wait until those bins and frames aren't stacked up in the corner of my living room anymore.
Looks fabulous , Dawn ! And of course comfy, too with that new mattress & couch ! Idk … I like the wall behind the bed blank! Too busy otherwise ? Itz perfect rn imo
This is very very similar to our camper we just bought new. Ours is nice mixture between greys and browns. I chose the accents red and turquoise (inspiration from Cas at the clutter bug!!! 😂) to brighten it up! It totally worked for sure. I never would have thought to do wall paper - but I honestly have to say you have totally inspired me!! I’ll have to think about where I could use it🤔 Thanks for sharing Dawn!! 💕
I have wallpapered a couple of motor homes. Always happy with the results. Yours looks fresh and bright now. I’m sure your folks will really appreciate it!
I love the idea of wallpapering those two spaces, it kind breaks up the solids and gives it a homey vibe. I also love the white walls… it did brighten up the space and make it look larger. We’ve been wanting to pick up a small camper for our family of 3, 5 if you include our young adult sons. Just watching this makes me think it would be a great idea. Now I need to find the video where Tom found your camper because it seems a little foolish to buy a new one when we can remodel a used one. Thanks for sharing all your ideas! Happy camping!
Love the sun and duvet. What we're up to this weekend... finding out if we're having another little boy or girl 💙💗, celebrating that with our family AS WELL AS our sons 3rd bday, my daughter's 1st bday, my 29th bday AND that our renovation is (almost) done! I'd say this is the first time we're hosting a larger amount of people and I'm not stressed at all and getting our house ready has been enjoying and not a mountain amount of work! Thank you for the huge role you've played on that!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love white so if someone crawls up on the bed with soiled hands, feet or clothing then just have a small blanket or towel close by to put over the white part.
What you've done to the camper has made it so open and welcoming. I would have probably been a bit claustrophobic in the original camper. It's darling and you did a fine job. I, too, am not a perfectionist, but I like things looking nice and this looks very nice. Good job, Dawn!
I love the comforter and the wallpaper so much! I agree with someone above. 4 big pillows on there would look great and cover some of that white. And…colorsafe bleach works great! 😊
I also agree the bed area needs something to break up the white wall without interfering with people space on bed and sitting up. I would buy sham covers that had Sam color as coverlet, that will break up all white on cover.
The quilt could be hung behind the mattress (modified to fit your desire to fit the color composition you like). New quilt could look like ground colors, which would do better with camper dirt. Could bring in more orange with pillows (or appear to be stones if stone colored).
“Tom and I -on one of our date nights- decided to go look at new campers.” YEP …. That’s you two in a nutshell. 😂😘 Btw, orange is my favorite color(!!!), and I happen to adooore your “sunny” vintage-inspired selections! 🥰🥰🥰
Dawn, Switch to using cotton Turkish towels in the camper. 6 pk for about 50 dollars on amazon. They absorb water well, dry quickly, wash up easily, no mold problem and takes very little room. They would work well on your ladder. We have been living in a camper your size for a year and I would not use any other kind of towel. Pk of 6 for $47.
Looks great! I think a peel and stick mural of some sort with a sunray incorporated into that would look good on that open wall. Or even a picture with some kind of sunray or sunset. Either way, looks fresh and clean. Good job!
i remember from a prior camper "redecorate" video, that you and Maggie enjoyed the mountain-scape you painted on the walls in the kids' bunks... maybe that big bare wall in your bed area could be a new blank canvas for your next painted mural!! (or some command strips, holding up a fabric mural as a more temporary "trial run" first) plus some throw pillows or bolster-back/wedge pillows for lounging up against, since there isn't a ton of seating with only the little 2-seater couch
Dawn NO to any wall paper. Our first house had a lot of it, oh joy. That did it for us. I think if you can do orange sheets and pillows, that should help with all that white. Good Luck. Thank you for sharing.
This is adorable and seems like it was the least work on a camper so far and is prob my favorite one. The bedding’s so nice don’t change it. Just wash it at the end of each trip. Dawn you can decorate for me any time. You have the touch.
Hey Dawn, on that big blank wall above the bed you could put a scripture decal or a saying, like "Home is where you lay your head." There are Etsy shops that do custom decals. I've gotten several from White Cottage Company.
You guys are AMAZING to remodel 3 campers. I just did a remodel of a pop up and man was that a ton of work. Now we bought a hardshell and it's fine the way it is but honestly I feel the need remodel it. My husband thinks I'm insane and I probably am. Think I will give it a year and think on it. Lol. He says he isn't having anything to do with it. You guys just make me laugh. Another camper!! Lol. I love it. Greetings from Wisconsin. Karen 😊
Love the wallpaper and bedspread I would either get pillows for the back wall that are sturdy bolsters so you can lounge with them or paint a sun like the wallpaper I'm the type that would fix up a camper too!!
Big empty wall space in bedroom idea: continue the mountain theme and colors from the bedspread on the wall. Your grey tone mountains in the past camper were great.
I think everything looks perfect. I love the white walls and the cheery wallpaper. Yes I would use wallpaper in a camper. You and Tom are a great team!!!🧡🧡🧡
My own thoughts for us, I wouldn't wallpaper a camper because of all the irregularities on the surface. But, yours looks nice. I like the sofa vs. the dinette, too.
Love what you have done. I also love your honesty in what works and what doesn't in all your adventures. You and your family are adorable and I personally get a lot of joy watching.
I really like the sun motif! Orange pillows will curb the "too much white" bedding area. Also I thought about Cute little rolleror Roman shades might work for windows. Adjustable for privacy. Pull one of the colors in the bedding. Such a good job Dawn!
I love the sun your using in peanut. We just bought an older travel trailer we will be redoing this winter. I may look into the sun idea. I was thinking trees. But we'll see. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
I want to go give my trailer a makeover soooo badly. 😂😂😂 I hate it so much anyway, so I don’t have much to lose. Thanks for the inspo, Dawn! I totally feel the same way about just enjoying the makeover process. Totally therapeutic!
Agree about the cushions. On the wall, I think I would mark out a rectangle frame in pencil and paint a picture straight onto the wall (not the whole wall, just inside the picture frame)
To keep th bedspread white try BIZ. (I like the powder better than the liquid.) If just adding BIZ to the laundry load doesn't get it white, soaking it for a couple of hours usually does the trick.
Dawn, this is really looking really nice! I was not liking the wallpaper until you put it up and then thought it looked great and it IS fabulous with the the bedding! Just an idea but maybe a couple of mountains with the sun coming up behind them behind the bed? I think it would look so good! Not sure how artistic you are but a simple "modern looking" freehanded and painted in would be fantastic! The light and bright colors are such a cheery addition to otherwise plain interior.
Just an idea:. Paint the sunset image on the wall and then get a solid colored comforter that isn't white. Definitely like the white walls to brighten it up.
love your adventures! My parents have bought 2 campers in our life time and we have learned that campers are STRESSFUL!!!!! Like really stressful! Great idea about painting the walls white! I love white walls. My mom has said that she doesn't understand why they keep putting dark wood cabinets inside small campers. It doesn't make any sense. White is always better. I hope you are blessed with hope today.
I love the wallpaper and the bedspread! My camper is brown and so blah. But it’s so big I don’t have the energy to paint it. Now I want a smaller camper instead.
We just took our Coleman 17B out for our first camping experience this past weekend! Loved it! The layout is very very similar to this one you guys just got! We had three dogs with us and next time will only take one 😁
Yes, the popular interior colors were shades of brown before greys became the rage! 20 years from now, everyone will be wondering why everything was grey! Lol! It’s been fun watching you go from big campers down to smaller that work better for your family:) Just goes to show, bigger isn’t always better:) You did a great job, it looks amazing!
Just an idea for the white-ness of the quilt... You may want to tea dye it in a 5 gallon bucket. You can let it soak in for 15-20 minutes to make it more ecru color. Just know, it is really uneven color, yet adds character and will hide little fingerprints! 😆 Most likely, it will not effect the orange of the sun much either.
How is that the same camper?? You made is so cheerful and bright! I love it and it makes me so happy to think of all the wonderful memories your kids will have of it. 🙌
I thought of you had any of the wallpaper left you could cut out the orange parts and glue those to the wall in the bedroom. Love what you've done so far! Great job you guys!

Where did you get the comforter?
I want to know as well!
Yes! What about the comforter?!
@@trubyboo4072 I found it, Crate and Barrel kids
You can always add pillows in orange pillow shams if you feel theres too much white on the comforter! Love what youve done so far!!!
Karen here. Yes!
Love this idea!
I thought that too that burnt orange pillows would be beautiful 😍
I was going to say the same thing! Orange shams!!!!!!!!
I had the exact same thought... And maybe some mountains like in the bunks on the other camper along that big white wall

Camping is fine as long as it's in a luxury RV with AC. 👍
That was my initial thought also about why she’s able to spend time on projects. Minimalism is great!

This video is so much fun! I absolutely would wallpaper a camper! You go girl! So cute & "Sunny". 🤗
Omg sunny would be a great name for the camper
Yes! Another vote for "Sunny"! 🌞
I would do what ever wall coating gave me the look i wanted!!!!!

I was thinking that exact thing too! Tom could figure out a way to hang it!
I was thinking that too! And you could use pipe wall brackets to sure it
I added a post before reading others with the same 💡 idea!! 😊❤ Love this group!

How fun !! Can’t wait to see the cabinet hardware
I LOVE the vibe of this camper! Such good choices. ☀️
I love how real your videos are, Dawn! When things don't quite turn out as you hoped you still leave it in the video. ❤

The camper looks great and I like the comforter, even if there is a lot of white in it
I love white so if someone crawls up on the bed with soiled hands, feet or clothing then just have a small blanket or towel close by to put over the white part.
What you've done to the camper has made it so open and welcoming. I would have probably been a bit claustrophobic in the original camper. It's darling and you did a fine job. I, too, am not a perfectionist, but I like things looking nice and this looks very nice. Good job, Dawn!
1 weekend- made me flashback to Tom saying he’d finish the deck in ‘Two Days!’ 😂
I love the comforter and the wallpaper so much! I agree with someone above. 4 big pillows on there would look great and cover some of that white. And…colorsafe bleach works great! 😊
I love the bedspread and wallpaper. Super cute camper to bring your parents ❤️ thoughtful ❤️ 💕
Sue Wolfe- Nice update to the camper. I love the comforter! Don't forget the mattress pad!❤️❤️
I love wall paper and painting projects. It hink the camper is looking great.
“Tom and I -on one of our date nights- decided to go look at new campers.”
YEP …. That’s you two in a nutshell. 😂😘
Btw, orange is my favorite color(!!!), and I happen to adooore your “sunny” vintage-inspired selections!
Karen 😊
Love the wallpaper and bedspread I would either get pillows for the back wall that are sturdy bolsters so you can lounge with them or paint a sun like the wallpaper I'm the type that would fix up a camper too!!
love the camper!! You could put a cool mountain vinyl sticker on the white wall! That was the first thing that popped in my head. Great work :) :)
I really like the sunburst wallpaper. It's cute, adds interest, and it's cheery.
For the quilt, you could dye it with tea. That would change the white to the linen color and not change the other colors.
Big empty wall space in bedroom idea: continue the mountain theme and colors from the bedspread on the wall.
Your grey tone mountains in the past camper were great.
Paint the Brown Spaces white in the cabinets or if you are bold… the orange colour 😎 big orange pillows on the bed will soften the wall
Good job, Dawn. I used to wallpaper when I was your age. I think it's a lot easier now but I haven't tried it in thirty years.
A vinyl quote decal might look nice over the bed blank wall. Love the sun theme.
Really like the couch also.
I think everything looks perfect. I love the white walls and the cheery wallpaper. Yes I would use wallpaper in a camper. You and Tom are a great team!!!🧡🧡🧡
Yes I would wallpaper a camper, I would probably paper that half wall next to the couch too, to tie it together.
My own thoughts for us, I wouldn't wallpaper a camper because of all the irregularities on the surface. But, yours looks nice. I like the sofa vs. the dinette, too.
Love the sun ☀️ motif! Favorite camper yet. So happy. Scotch guard the white comforter maybe? It's beautiful!
!!!!! Paint a large half circle behind the bed ~ pick a color in the comforter to paint the circle
Dawn I would not have been game enough to wallpaper a camper before seeing your videos. But now I could proudly say yes I would wallpaper a camper!
I like the way the kitchen and bathroom wallpaper matches !
I love it! Great job. One idea for the bedroom wall is a wood art wall sign like “You are the sunshine of my life” etc.
Oh my gosh I love ❤️ that wall paper pattern so much fun and happy!!!!
The bedspread and wallpaper are amazing! I'm living for this!☀️
Just an idea:. Paint the sunset image on the wall and then get a solid colored comforter that isn't white.
Definitely like the white walls to brighten it up.
The camper is looking great. Why don’t you buy 2 orange or yellow pillowcases to go on the comforter breaking up the white on white.
Exactly!
I was gonna suggest the same thing. Yeah orange pillows for sure.
love your adventures!
I was thinking the same thing!
How is that the same camper?? You made is so cheerful and bright! I love it and it makes me so happy to think of all the wonderful memories your kids will have of it. 🙌
Making a camper pretty and functional is always worth it!!!
Yes. I would wallpaper a camper!
Anxious to see the finish.
I thought of you had any of the wallpaper left you could cut out the orange parts and glue those to the wall in the bedroom. Love what you've done so far! Great job you guys!
