Bruce, I have been waiting for years to finally see you make one of my favourite cocktails of all time! ❤ Loved the video and PLEASE do a follow up comparison with the Old Tom when you finally have it! Cheers 🍻
In the same vein as this topic I love the long forgotten libation : "The Lucien Gaudin cocktail." 30ml of Genever Gin and equal pours of 15ml Cointreau Campari Dry Vermouth. I've played with it often, bouncing between using Cappelletti Aperitivo and the differences of France Dry Vermut and Italian Dry; and then london dry to Scottish botantical to Dutch Genever. Needless to say, as a fellow barkeep, I have had a couple years to play with this but its one I love.
Bruce I love this beauty!! Delicious cocktail and I often use Cocchi! I prefer it and that it's less sweet is wonderful for me! I love Manhattans and Martinis and I love the classic - a Martinez!! I hope you are awesome! You make amazing cocktails!! Be well Bruce!! Cheers!!
I really like a Martinez. I’ve played around with different garnishes. I didn’t put luxardo or bitters ( because I just came home from working swing shift at 3 am) and used a jalapeño stuffed olive super good. I alway enjoy your videos.
I think they don't say to put it on ice because of the type of glassware they're advising to use. A coup with a big chunk of ice sloshing around may cause problems.
Why don't you make and sell a cocktail book. Like a cook book well it is a cookbook because of the Simple syrups you make and then your own drink recipe s. I'll buy the 1st two
I make mine with orange bitters, sweet vermouth, and gin. In that order. I know you're the pro, but I always mix drinks starting with the smaller/cheaper ingredients. That way, they almost self-mix -- and if I goof it up, I'm not tossing out the good stuff.
I don't mind when a bartender measures. But, watching Bruce free-pour is just so satisfying for some reason.
Years and years of practice! Ha
I like learning about the Classic Cocktails, thank you.

Definitely not an episode to learn counting :) Great classic and I agree to the quick version! No wrong way to say Genever!!!

I has never tried a martinez with genever before.
