yoshida was the best player in japan in 05 and 06. He is highly underrated.

This Yoshida demonstrates great table tennis! And I like his spirit. He ressembles Ma Lin to me by his technique..

Japanese players like koki and kenta have superb control, diverse skills and defense. But that's not enough for a world champion. To become a champion, they need to have brutal force like Ma Long and Zhang Jike.

You have to take into account that Yoshida and Kenta are teammates, they practised together and they knew each other pretty well.

yoshida kaii, born Song HaiWei, in Hebei, China. He played for the Hebei province team prior to moving to japan in 03-04.

looked like kenta was giving him the game. his agressiveness took a 100% decrease on the 6th and 7th matches. Kenta had him the first few games.

I thought the outcome was going to be a surprise, then i scrolled down slightly!

Cool match, Yoshida is now a "relatively" rare style in professional. He uses single side chinese style racket

I think Kenta should have won the yokohoma match vs ma lin too. It was really close. But one thing that the chinese are extremely good at, is when its 8-8 or 9-9 on the last game. they use their time outs to throw the other player off their rhythm and take those last 2-3 points.

is yoshida part chinese? and by the way what's ryu seung min been up to?

Don't worry about his playing style, dude. I'm 1000% pretty sure you'll loose 0:4 0:11 in every game with Yoshida;)

Don't write negative comments! All of you would loose against them! Respect the two players!

7:03 Kenta is not using his "Kenta serve"
and he got that point directly! lol

Do you think Kenta is a bit weak mentally? I felt he really ought to have beaten Ma Lin in Yokohama too.

Can't believe people though that Kenta would become a threat to the Chinese, or anyone else for that matter. He's at the same level as he was 4 years ago when he got on the junior pro tour, he hasn't improved at all. He's getting international experience playing in the German league, but he gets murdered over there, his record last year against non-top European players was 1-8, that's pathetic. He has a good backhand and a weird serve motion but that's it.

Yeap, what a pity, leading 3 games to 1 and lost the next 3.

i just hate the way yoshida was yelling when he won
that's not the way you should react when you beat someone who is younger than you
and also your teammate - -"

@zoroscopegogo there is no true way to celebrate. his reaction or celebration is as a result of the fact that at 3-1 he thought it was over and at 3-4 he cant believe what he had just achieved by coming back to win. i think his reaction was modest. if it was a football match u wont say such.
