Metropolys is one of my favorite games! I am really looking forward to playing its successor, Skyrise.

@@Melsboardgameroom I don't know when I'll get a chance to play Skyrise, so I'll make a comment now. Metropolys is a clean, simple game. Unlike other games with lots of bells and whistles, players can grasp not only the rules of Metropolys, but also the strategy in their first game.
The bidding mechanic is really neat. In every game I've played, there was great tension as each player tried to make a final run that would end the game. I hope Skyrise preserves this essence of the game.
As much as I like Metropolys, I felt that more could be done with this design. I'm glad that Roxley took a game that was largely overlooked and developed it into something special.
