Update: after the S&M declared bankruptcy in 1901, the Tracks of the S&M(as well as Neil) remained to serve the Crovans Gate Mining Company.

One engine worked themselve to death, another one was told off somewhere, and yes Neil to the Crovans Gate Mining Company, it is unknown what happened to niel nor the one that was sold off after that

the W&S. I mean, I don't know how much you can find on them, but everyone seems to get their engines wrong, and it might be cool to tell people about the actual W&S engines, with any details you can find, and also possible where Adam, Lilly, and Colin came from. I mean, the only mention I've seen of the W&S engines says there were 4 0-6-0 engines from the W&S that worked on the NWR, along with the coffee pots, so I don't know where those three could have come from, but I've seen them in a few different people's series.

Where did this story about their bridges over the Walney Channel collapsing twice during construction come from, since it's not in TIOS or RBTL?
TIOS says that "Their proposals for a bridge over the Walney Channel
were persistently baulked by the Admiralty. Their tunnel through the Ballahoo Ridge collapsed, and in the end trains only ran between Ballahoo and Kirk Ronan." And Christopher didn't add anything more to that in RBTL.

I’m slightly confused at the beginning, so the skarloey railway was built after the S&M? I know in the IOS book,when reading about the skarloey railway, it explains that the railway had been running for nearly 50 years before any locomotives arrive on the line. I may have just mis-interpreted though. This is still a very good and informative video, well done
