It seems to be a gaiden game set at the same time as Dead Zone, with the same villain but a different protagonist.

Music kinda reminds me of Wing of Madoola, another SunSoft game from 1986. I guess the latter half of 1986 is when SunSoft finally started making *good* Famicom games.....LOL.
