    The little balls by the hitch is to stop sway going down the road. U can by the ball and stabilizing kit cheap used. They help allot.

    Gonna need bigger axles just for the beams..lol. I would have cut those beams in half and put them every 2 ft. 2 by 8's will hold the weight

      @@Gasdieselgarage i literally just picked up a very very similar trailer and am planning to do the same thing. Perfect timing!

      masterian1 absolutely my friend I been wanting to do this for sometime and this trailer just happen to cross my path. I rather build it to my liking than paying nearly 3 to 4 thousand bucks for a new one. I’m excited and I’m sure you are too.

    I just wonder how the 2 main frame pieces have held up , that's where you needed to beef it up for the weight

    I’m certain that thing would easily carry two cars! I am curious if you thought about adding a third axle to that beast!

  • @aland8545
    @aland8545 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just no. RV are not built strong enough. It doesn’t matter how much to much the crossmembers are the main parts of the frame are weak.

    • @ebinmaine
      @ebinmaine 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed, to an extent. Given proper weight distribution during loading and of course road travel, a camper frame is fine. Issue here is the average person just doesn't give enough consideration to dynamic weight stresses. We're building a camper frame for light duty utility trailer usage. A car hauler, it won't be.

    Second video I had to stop watching cuz of the music.. but anyways...

    • @Gasdieselgarage
      @Gasdieselgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      No you’re right and I have limited a lot of the music I used…one reason I did put a lot of music is to avoid copyright strikes with the shop music I had playing while working
