I think seeing a third evolution to Ron’s design would be very interesting; perhaps a spit line where in one the angry okapi breaks loose and goes on a rampage; while the other has the exoskelton completely consume the internal okapi. Not sure how to trigger either of these evolutions.
For this one, since this is based on aggression versus passivity, if the Okaperil has an Attack/Special Attack/Speed raising and Defense/Special Defense lowering nature (to suggest it is more inherently aggressive), then the Okaperil will evolve into the aggressive form. If the Okaperil instead has a nature that raises Defense or Special Defense and lowers Attack/Special Attack/Speed will change into the exoskeleton evolution to suggest that because it is not as aggressive, the exoskeleton took over. Naturally, any other nature would leave the Okaperil as-is, which makes sense. It reflects that either the Okaperil and it’s exoskeleton are in exact balance or the exoskeleton can restrain the Okaperil from being too aggressive. This will otherwise be a normal level evolution to suggest the Okaperil and the exoskeleton are starting to get used to each other. A nice level would be level 41 - not too far to suggest extreme difficulty in exoskeleton/Okaperil interaction, but reflects that it will take time to see if the exoskeleton or the Okaperil wins.
The angry okapi would be now Okapressor (okapi + aggressor) and would just be dark type to show that it is just about attacking based on anger and nothing more. The exoskeleton taking over would turn it into Okapsorb (okapi + absorb) and would be normal/ghost, to suggest that it is just the exoskeleton left.
@@iantaakalla8180 I love the concept of a Pokemon's nature affecting it's evolution. Having nature's effect more than just stats and actually effect the way the Pokemon grows would make them become more than just flavor text. Though maybe it should be a three way split evolution so you don't have to deal with the frustration of getting a shiny that doesn't evolve (like male Combee or Salazzel). Its third form would be where the two find balance and it focuses violent craving in a more righteous direction, having its anger target evil (kind of like the Sword's of justice). Okabution (Oka + Retribution) Fariy/Fighting. The main body's thirst for violence is satisfied as is the exoskeleton's desire to avoid harming innocents.
That is a nice way to incorporate a third evolution path, and Okabution sounds like movies Venom and Eddie Brock. A symbiote/Pokémon craving violence who is restrained by a person/exoskeleton making sure the violence is redirected healthily.
I would love to think of it like the fan made "wolf in sheep's clothing" evolution of Wooloo I've seen. Where if Okaperil evolves at, say, 45 or so with 0 friendship it'd evolve into the aggressive form (Gonna go with Okaperish) but if it evolves with max friendship instead it turns into the Exoskeletal form (Thinking Okabind) Of course this is hypothetical I would just like the idea of both sides of friendship lending to the different lines.
I was hearing this as a background video. The moment he mentioned Brazil Folclore, without noticing,I was just SUMMONED to watch where he was going. I hope there are more Brazilian fans like me,hugs from Brazil! 💚
Shopeshoo is SO GOOOOOOD!!! It has sectioned parts, but a single color "conecting" them which makes the design look complex withtou getting cluttered! Really great work! I'm indeed impressed
Papil, in addition to that virus, also sent me huge butterfly signals. I'm a Type:Null fan, and I love when an already chimeric creature is given a third kind of creature as inspiration to really set it apart. Maybe someday a concept like triple fusion could be used for theme.
@@ananonymousyoutubeuser8769 Not quite! Papillomaviruses (like HPV, human papillomavirus) cause papillary protrusions to form in different areas of the body. Lapin papillomavirus, the virus being represented here, causes horn-like facial papillae. The word "papilla" is from the Latin for nipple, because papillae are biological protrusions that resemble teats. The Latin for butterfly (the root for the French papillon) is actually papilio - one L, not two.
Making Skurupira the color of Skoward’s shiny is genius. The idea that on all fours it just looks like Skoward in a small pack of them and they stand up, afraid, but one just turns to you and rushes you with that spooky face.
Brazilian here, I was so happy when I saw the Curapira being referenced. All of the designs are amazing, but because of bias, I'm going with Skurupira.
Moxie is nailing it in the concept department (both Episode 1 and 2). Zerave and Zera are among the coolest Fakemon I've seen in a long while. I'm becoming more and more of a Moxie fan as I go through the episodes Just like the previous episodes, y'all did great! This should be a regular content moving forward
Moxie is two for two on cats based on Dark Souls bosses Edit: This series definitely needs more videos Edit 2: For the next challenge, you guys could do ‘Pokémon that evolve with unique methods’
I LOVE the design Moxie went for. I feel like Zerave’s phantom arm could be a bit more ghostly, right now it kind of looks just icey to me. It could be cool if it can “turn it on and off”, so that maybe the arm only shows when its fighting or such. I think that would be great.
This series is very wholesome and just feel-good. People expressing their honest creativity and the positive criticism, it seems so supportive and interesting. All the designs look superb.
DUDE I LOVE THESE KEEP THEM COMING! I've never actually paid any money to a poketuber for anything and you're making me consider it with this series. Y'all have such great designs and I hope the Pokemon company is keeping their eyes out for talented people like the ones you're promoting here.
I feel like if Shopeshoo and Papillope were real pokémon people would definitely hate them just because of how bizarre they look. I feel that they'd get the same critiques and criticisms that the Ultra Beasts got at first, that they look "Too weird" and that they "Don't look like pokémon". That's the most clear, noticeable difference that separates fakémon creators from pokémon creators in my mind. Fakémon creators can and do as clear as day lay bare each and every step of their design processes, inspirations and overall thoughts on each and every one of their individual fakémon for everyone to see from the moment they're created so you understand them basically immediately. Meanwhile on the other end, pokémon creators just kind of... make them... they exist now... think whatever you want about them. Deal with it. I feel like there are SOOOO many real pokémon out there that could be liked or even loved by a lot more people if Game Freak just did that very same thing, explained them. Talk in detail about the design processes behind several of their many different pokémon to paint a picture of how and why they land on the final designs that they do. They could make a short TH-cam series out of it, I'll take anything. There are just too many cool pokémon out there that I don't think get the respect they truly deserve and it's bothered me for a long, long time. I apologize for rambling but other than that these pokémon all look amazing to me! You guys absolutely knocked it out of the park! I love them all! Can't wait for the next one! 👍
people say that as if bizarre and weird pokemon are a bad thing. they're supposed to be monsters, not regular animals. they don't have to have pages of lore and inspiration. they can just be a thing that exists for no reason. that's what makes alien pokemon/ultra beasts so interesting.
@@mezzovii Agreed, I love the Ultra Beasts! I hope we can get more of them someday. If we can still get new Regis after all of this time then I'll always have my hopes!
I could see Zerave and it's counterpart having 'annoying' evolution means. One needing to have it's stats attempted to be lowered multiple times in a battle, and the other having it's stats raised multiple times. Maybe 3 stages each way?
This is honestly the best pokemon series on youtube. The pokemon designs have been kind of lack luster from gamefreak and it's cool to see some good ones for a change.
Skoward and Skurupira is my absolute favourite of the whole series. First of all - the concept is just amazing! It's gresh and clever, but not wacky or forced in any way. I can easily imagine an anime episode about it. The only thing - I think Skurupira fits more into Dark/Posion than Posion/Fairy type.
Never end this series! I love how wholesome and encouraging you are to each other. I love Moxy anyway but I love seeing these new (to me) artists and how amazing you are with each other. 👏🏻👏🏻
I think the Zerave line was my favorite from the video, although they were all great designs. Also an update, I've finished most of the fakemon I'm working on & the last one will be done soon. I look forward to posting my submissions starting next Saturday.
honestly love the skunk pokemon. I've been playing a lot of pokemon legends arceus and attempting mass outbreaks you sometimes see the evolved version of the pokemon you're hunting. I can just see a skoward outbreak going on and then all of the sudden seeing a shiny one walking backwards and it'll just look uncanny and mysterious and I'm all for it. Also not previously knowing the evolution's typing you'll just think it's just a normal type only to find out it double resists fighting moves risking your pokemon to be one shot by surprise. Such an cool concept for a pokemon game like legends arceus and I hope gen 9 continues to be this.
Random idea, but for Zera and Zerave, they could have gender dimorphism where females have the right arm missing and males have the left..? Just a thought.
The first episode of this inspired me to make a Fairy type jackalope Pokemon, so it's so cool to see a jackalope with the totally opposite feel in this video!
These are so imaginative and cool!! Ron's concept for evolution and the exoskeleton restraining the Pokémon inside is just wonderful. Awesome lore behind the design Papillope is a design akin to Sigilyph where I love it because of how bizarre and otherworld-y it looks. I especially like the claw ears and the eyes Umbreon's skunk mon is so freakin' funny in concept but also pretty menacing with that face in the evolution! I LOVE the shot of it turning around to look at you from behind Moxie's is SO freakin' rad. Like, I am so sad I didn't think of the concept of a phantom limb Pokémon sooner because it's one of the coolest concepts I've seen for a Fakemon Great job everybody!
This series is my new favorite thing on youtube. Please continue for many many episodes. Diffrent topics/diffrent artist/possibly same topics months appart to see what new things happens. I loved all the art in both this one and the first one.
Everyone just keeps getting better and I can't wait to see what comes next. And Moxie may be humble about his "limited" source of inspirations but the execution is what matters and he sure does deliver.
I love these so much, definitely do a part 3. All of them are great and I love the stories that lead up to the final evolution. I also love how Moxie gets his inspiration, it's so cute how he used a cat and his uncle as his inspiration 💙
I loooved all of your designs and concepts! The skunk line was really my favorite and the whole moveset etc was such a nice touch Thank you moxie for the ghost type:) Also zerave would be such a great ash pokemon with its secret form^^
Skurupira's design is awesome! Imagine approaching one from what you think is its back because you think it's a shiny, but then it just STANDS UP and starts chasing you. I'd nope the hell out of that one lol
These are the first videos of yours I've seen, and I've loved them. I've always been a bit dismissive of fakemon but these videos have made me want to design my own. It's really cool seeing the development process. I personally would love to see you guys do some pseudolegendaries, but I appreciate I'm new to the community and have probably missed them being done a thousand times!

Really looking forward to another video! Me and a friend were so inspired by the first one that we started doing our own pokemon+evolution based on prompts. It's been so much fun!
Loved these! Especially Jack’s, I thought of the Horn virus on rabbits as a design before the video even really started haha! Also, the wing protrusions reminded me of the Wolpertinger, which is basically a Jackalope with wings haha.
Honestly all of these designs are so good that they make me wish they were real. I can't pick a favourite, they all have great concepts, can't wait for you guys to make more of these, they're so creative and cool!
I would absolutely, without question use Zerave. I've always wanted a Fighting/Ghost, the design is great, the concept is great, it just really resonates with me.
I could imagine Skurupira in the anime, Ash and the gang come across one and ask the pokedex if the mark is it’s butt, and then the Pokédex tells them “No one has ever withstood its full power moon last”.
with the alt evolution of Moxie's design, I feel like it would pull more from zoroark with it's hisuian typing, being ghost/normal, and it would be on all 4's (obviously with a missing leg still) and it would just look like a bigger version of the original
These designs are incredible! My fave is Zerave, I love everything about it - the inspiration, story, colours. It makes me think of a more feline Lucario/Zoroark and it’s unique typing is something I’d love to see more of.

I adore UmbreonLibris' design so much! He really embraced the odd designs the creators can make! It gives me a new love for when they go wild with the design process 🥰
Shopeshoo seems like a pokemon that very obviously has a variant or had a variant in the past. I wonder what it would normally evolve into if it wasn't infected.
Last time you guys did this, Moxie2D made a cute cat Pokémon. So I said that made me realise how unsatisfied I was about official "cat" Pokémon lines. And then they announced Sprigatito. So now I'm gonna say that Zera made me realise how unhappy I am that we haven't had an Eevee evolution in a while.
I love this series, though I do have one suggestion. You could end the videos by revealing whatever the next prompt is, so that people can make their own designs off of it and compare how they interpreted it versus the artists in the video. You could even have a thing where people can send their designs in to you to be featured in a quick slideshow in the video after the artists go over all of their fakemon but before revealing the next prompt, with or without the artists in the video providing brief commentary. This was just an idea that popped into my head, though, and the series is still great regardless.
Moxie’s story behind their Pokémon is so sweet and ended up being a really awesome design!

Where if Okaperil evolves at, say, 45 or so with 0 friendship it'd evolve into the aggressive form (Gonna go with Okaperish) but if it evolves with max friendship instead it turns into the Exoskeletal form (Thinking Okabind)
Of course this is hypothetical I would just like the idea of both sides of friendship lending to the different lines.
I was hearing this as a background video.
The moment he mentioned Brazil Folclore, without noticing,I was just SUMMONED to watch where he was going.
I hope there are more Brazilian fans like me,hugs from Brazil! 💚
This is becoming a series and I'm loving it.
Papillon is French for butterfly so maybe the pathogen name is latin for butterfly?
@@ananonymousyoutubeuser8769 Not quite! Papillomaviruses (like HPV, human papillomavirus) cause papillary protrusions to form in different areas of the body. Lapin papillomavirus, the virus being represented here, causes horn-like facial papillae. The word "papilla" is from the Latin for nipple, because papillae are biological protrusions that resemble teats.
The Latin for butterfly (the root for the French papillon) is actually papilio - one L, not two.
What's a butterfly signal?
@@soldierstride554 It's that little voice in your head that says "butterfly". Imagine you just got a "chili dog signal".
@@runningoncylinders3829 The hecks a "chili dog signal"!?? xD
Is this a motherfocker Brasil reference?? I'm in!
Indeed
curupira realmente é muito legal

Moxie is nailing it in the concept department (both Episode 1 and 2). Zerave and Zera are among the coolest Fakemon I've seen in a long while. I'm becoming more and more of a Moxie fan as I go through the episodes
Just like the previous episodes, y'all did great! This should be a regular content moving forward
Moxie just nailed it
"Zerave" just looks so awesome and you all missed the signature move
Phantom slash which is just awesome for Zerave
Zerave might be one of my favorite fakemons yet. Easily one of the best designs so far. Love it’s eyes and the tail and it’s fluffy neck!
Moxie is two for two on cats based on Dark Souls bosses
Edit: This series definitely needs more videos
Edit 2: For the next challenge, you guys could do ‘Pokémon that evolve with unique methods’
I really hope this continues as a series.
That Zerave evolution line is so cool thematically; I want one!
If Zera are born with 3 legs, they wouldn't get phantom limb. Because they never had a 4th in the first place.
If we can still get new Regis after all of this time then I'll always have my hopes!
exactly. very well said. every pokemon designed explained will be more interesting and most of us will gravitate to them even more
I really like shopeshoo. Papillope is eh. I'd prefer a simpler but effective design like rabbit with spiked helmet, with maybe bigger-than-body feet.
I fucking love skurupira honestly, my boi
The skunk one was my favorite by far- and i love watching videos like these! Please do more!
I could see Zerave and it's counterpart having 'annoying' evolution means. One needing to have it's stats attempted to be lowered multiple times in a battle, and the other having it's stats raised multiple times. Maybe 3 stages each way?
That would get tough to make happen
You could get a Zerave early if you know of an early-game Pokémon that like to spam stat-lowering moves or something.
@@iantaakalla8180 Early route bug with string shot XD
This is honestly the best pokemon series on youtube. The pokemon designs have been kind of lack luster from gamefreak and it's cool to see some good ones for a change.
Never clicked on a video faster, the first video of this series was the one that inspired me to design my very first Fakemon!!
Same!!!
This is so cool. You and Jack are already powerhouses of the fakemon scene. And the other guests are phenomenal as well. Loving it
Never end this series!
God I love Moxie's designs... like all of these are interesting or cool but Moxie is giving me things I find aesthetically pleasing.
and also cats
The first episode of this inspired me to make a Fairy type jackalope Pokemon, so it's so cool to see a jackalope with the totally opposite feel in this video!
These are so imaginative and cool!!
Ron's concept for evolution and the exoskeleton restraining the Pokémon inside is just wonderful. Awesome lore behind the design
Papillope is a design akin to Sigilyph where I love it because of how bizarre and otherworld-y it looks. I especially like the claw ears and the eyes
Umbreon's skunk mon is so freakin' funny in concept but also pretty menacing with that face in the evolution! I LOVE the shot of it turning around to look at you from behind
Moxie's is SO freakin' rad. Like, I am so sad I didn't think of the concept of a phantom limb Pokémon sooner because it's one of the coolest concepts I've seen for a Fakemon
Great job everybody!
This is now my favourite series on your channel.
The skunk line was really my favorite and the whole moveset etc was such a nice touch
Thank you moxie for the ghost type:)
Also zerave would be such a great ash pokemon with its secret form^^
I literally cried when I read the ability of Zera. So beautiful. Awesome job
Legitimately the best pokemon art content on the internet!
Wow I love these! The okapi and jackalope ones had such cool evolution ideas, and the phantom limb fox is so good!! I would love to see the alternate design omg.
Maybe if you hatched a Zera from an egg and raised it with high friendship, there could be a split evolution. I think the idea of that is super cool!
I’m a sucker for foxes in fiction, it’s rare that creators make a dud Fox character. I love it on principle but it’s also just so well made
fighting-ghost? did you forget marshadow?
@@surge0509 No, I just don't use legendaries.
@@surge0509 Marshadow is event exclusive
We now have Annihilape now
I could imagine Skurupira in the anime, Ash and the gang come across one and ask the pokedex if the mark is it’s butt, and then the Pokédex tells them “No one has ever withstood its full power moon last”.
3:26 I had a pretty similar reaction seeing Sigilyph for the first time back when I played BW as a kid. The thing looked divine, I tell ya.
with the alt evolution of Moxie's design, I feel like it would pull more from zoroark with it's hisuian typing, being ghost/normal, and it would be on all 4's (obviously with a missing leg still) and it would just look like a bigger version of the original
These designs are incredible! My fave is Zerave, I love everything about it - the inspiration, story, colours. It makes me think of a more feline Lucario/Zoroark and it’s unique typing is something I’d love to see more of.
I really like his Pokémon. He should make more dragon types.
His? Who of the Four lol
You're bring so vague no one knows who you're talking about.
@@jannomeeuwessen4886 you know, his! *gestures vaguely towards the video*
@@zeppie_ ooh now I get it!!
When he is looking away: *me nodding my head, looking confused at you while saying the words "who did he even mean??" without sound*
Um which one of the guys are you talking about?
Came for Moxie2D, stayed for everyone's amazing designs and concepts behind them! Game Freak needs to start hiring y'all as freelance concept artists, cause holy crap!
Something that I always adore about creation is the inspiration behind each work. The lore behind each piece truly adds such perspective to the world around us. That is evident by how surprised everyone was by each others pieces. Brilliant job.
Moxie definitely has a theme with the powerful offensive sweepers. Being able to chose which defensive state your hitting is pretty powerful. I really want to see it's other evolution. Maybe more of a defensive guardian type Pokemon?
I would love if Jack made a pokemon out of all of his silhouettes, they all just look so cool
as a disabled person and a Huge pokemon fan, I absolutely LOVE Zera and Zerave! I adore them, the designs are kickass, and the lore/inspirations are excellent
I adore UmbreonLibris' design so much! He really embraced the odd designs the creators can make! It gives me a new love for when they go wild with the design process 🥰
I love how cute subjectively Pokemon is and how it turns into a beast
I'd love to see Zeraves counterpart in the next episode.
I would pay good money to have moxies design be in actual pokemon games. I LOVE it
These designs are awesome! Well done to all involved! And so happy to see UmbreonLibris getting the recognition his channel really deserves! 👍
As soon as I heard moxie reference the "phantom limb", I was like "Wait. This is gonna be a Ghost type, isn't it?"
I absolutely loved the skurupira. I had a children’s book of folktales growing up in Brazil and the one that skurupira is based on was on there.
Please never stop making these!! They are so well though about with so much detail.
Shopeshoo seems like a pokemon that very obviously has a variant or had a variant in the past. I wonder what it would normally evolve into if it wasn't infected.
Need more of this series, please!! Amazing designs, amazing artists!
Yup
I LOVE Moxie’s design
Gosh, I wish that was a Pokémon.
Okaperil too!
Ugh love them
Please never stop doing these
This was all soooo doope!! But man Moxie has so much potential to make his own game!
Man moxie always brings the amazing desings, others are great too, but moxie just blows it out of the park
Yoo moxie killed with the concept... everyone's drawings were cool but Moxie's concept is just wooow
I decided to check my TH-cam notifications right now, and I was very pleasantly surprised that part 2 of this video series is out!
This series needs to continue is soooooo awesome and detailed
I love this series, though I do have one suggestion. You could end the videos by revealing whatever the next prompt is, so that people can make their own designs off of it and compare how they interpreted it versus the artists in the video. You could even have a thing where people can send their designs in to you to be featured in a quick slideshow in the video after the artists go over all of their fakemon but before revealing the next prompt, with or without the artists in the video providing brief commentary.
This was just an idea that popped into my head, though, and the series is still great regardless.
you guys are really inspiring me to get better at character design. Absolutely amazed
I love these so much! All of the designs are so well thought out and we'll executed! Great job! 👍
Wow all these pokemon were absolutely amazing. I think I ended up liking Zera and Zerave the most.
