Yes I agree. I mean they can't equal Warner's or MGM, but there still a lot to enjoy. The Famous Cartoon in this era still had good animation and bright colors. And it SEEMS Famous had more cartoons that had gags involving the end title Paramount Logo more than any other studios did with theirs
This was the last Noveltoon to have the jack in the box opening and also the last to used this theme music. Beginning with the next one in the series a new opening is introduced featuring the Noveltoon lettering with swirling green and yellow stripes, against red background. And a new fast uptempo theme song was used.
On September 30, 1955, this cartoon was released and Mister and Mistletoe, featuring Popeye, Popeye’s nephews, Olive Oyl and Bluto, was released on the same day.
Does this mean Famous Studios cartoons were script driven or did they just think a script would be more recognizable to viewers? Maybe they just went with a script because it's funny to hear the emotion in his voice as he reads it out loud?
Famous Studios and the Noveltoons are criminally underrated IMO

Oh yeah, but as long as I can watch, I’m good.
Indeed
I enjoyed them..despite their flaws.
Yeah, they might not be top tier like WB, MGM, Disney, and Fleischer, but at least they’re enjoyable in their own way
3:23 When I first watched this, I thought he said “If they think I’m gonna follow this crap.”
Thank you! I have always wanted to see the real ending to this cartoon. My own copy has Harvey titles.

And the jack-in-the-box would have his own comics and given the name 'Harvey'.
4:03 it’s the goofy sound effect that I keep hearing and I want to know the name.
4:03 Ouch. That had to hurt.

Paramount's Famous Studios released a "Popeye" Christmas movie cartoon..in September?
6:02 Tommy Tortoise pull the Paramount logo mountain and walked through it.
3:03 joke’s on them, cartoons weren’t written with scripts during the golden age. It was storyboards or nothing
