I'm in the Albuquerque area. We have 5 inches on the ground so far. Still snowing. Thousands without power due to downed trees and limbs. It's a HEAVY wet snow.

Seriously. We are in drought conditions with water restrictions beginning to be put in place across the region. Not to mention, we are at risk of severe fire weather with a total of five forest fires currently burning within the state of New Jersey. We desperately need some water and precipitation!!
In Colorado Springs I had 8.5 inches of moderately heavy snow measured about 10 AM Wed. Maybe 2 inches so far today 10 AM MST right on the I-25 corridor.
I used to live in Colorado Springs. We called systems like this an "Albuquerque Low.". To us, it meant lots of snow in a 24-48 hr period. We knew in advance & would stock up, hunker down & enjoy our short "vacation!" The snow melted within a couple days. 😊
Thanks RyanHallY'all friends and family! STAY SAFE NM- and stay home- schools are closed in areas. We got some snow in northern NM but the mountains are getting a lot! Thanks as always Ryan and team! BEST weather channel 💛
@@southernsoulfamily9699 So sorry to hear about the flooding in your area!!😢 I’m in western part of MO near the KS border. We were so very dry we needed the rain here, hope you can get dried out before the next round! Blessings to you and yours!
I’m in Las Vegas, NM. 60 miles north of Santa Fe on I-25. I’ve got about 15” at this time. What’s made it so scary is that it’s been warm here. Lots of leaves still on trees. I’ve got large branches down in my backyard from Monday’s heavy wet snow. Hopefully no more come down
I've enjoyed the climate the last 10 yrs. It use to be too cold in October decades ago in the south but now it takes till late Nov or Dec b4 it gets cold for a couple of months. Heat is better than cold any day.
Augusta got a lot of rain yesterday. Still so many people here in my neighborhood and area have so much damage still from Helene. The rain has just added more damage 😢
@MD-zm6sn I remember a warm November when my granddaughter was 3 or 4 (15 now), it snowed on Thanksgiving afternoon. She was excited as it was her first time seeing snow.
@ I think I remember that Thanksgiving! It started out hot and by the end of the day it was freezing 😂 we were tossing the football outside and it suddenly became breezy…. And then we came in and built a fire❤️
I drove from Albuquerque to los alamos this morning at 4am for work and there was no less than 4" on I-25 the whole trip. It took me 3.5hours and there's about 8" in Los alamos. Very scary drive, even encountered fog with snow in Santa fe and tesuque
I’m in Pinehurst NC and it’s been so warm… so odd for this time of year!! I would like a little bit of snow just a bit and then go away after a day or two 😂
The Palmer divide is THE WORST. LIved in the Denver area for over 30 yrs. I'd rather drive to Vail (up I-70 into the mountains) than drive from Denver to Co Springs over that divide.

Santa Fe, gotten an easy 8"+ on the southwest end of I-25 elevation where it is a more open plateau. In the northeast end of town which abuts the national forest and I-25 wrap around the otherside of the foothills those peaks scraping the clouds at 8.2k'ft, snow reports are already at 1.5' for the day and OVER 3' for the week with the first snow on Monday. 80 degrees here in NJ and it’s rained once since August. We could use some precipitation.
