I really, *really* like the mental image of no-one running the locomotive while this is happening. "Just gonna slip out to the business car real quick for some jammin', the boiler probably won't explode..." Awesome playing, btw ❤
Says in a old western voice: Well you just put on the reg and let’er go she really ain’t need no super vis’in she be a steam locomotive! Do you know anything bout dez thangs here, partner?
Reminds me of something. I was at the Wanamaker, Kempton and southern on board waiting to leave. It was a rainy and cold evening and the roof was leaking right above me so I walked in to the baggage compartment (I was in a combine) and then the president of the railroad started playing on the old piano on board until we got going. It was great fun to hear the piano, the rain and the chatter of people from on board! It would be really cool if somehow, some way they all performed on the combine car!
Idk why, but for a split second my mind went wait if engineer is back here playing bluegrass who is at the controls and then thought oh fireman is up there, it's fine... *camera stops recording* starts playing Kenosha
Well, we Railroads Online players did think up the idea of the Party Bobber... everyones partying in the caboose engine crew making sandwiches and the train is barreling along
I love the shot at 1:04. The feeling of traveling by train, enjoying the scenery go by and the band playing, having fun during the trip. Forget about schedules and the stress of every-day life, just savour the moment. Too bad the tracks only go around the museum. This would be sweet in something similar to the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad. I mean a trip that takes, at least, an hour from point A to point B. Eating lunch or dinner in the dining car or being in the bar car with a nice drink, looking at the scenery and enjoying the musical talent... Pure joy.🤩🤩🤩
This is awesome. Are there ever any bluegrass events at the Colorado Railroad Museum? There should be. And with bluegrass's origins in Appalachia, would you say there is a Colorado variant...?
What’s the name of that tune? The spirit of Jimmie Rodgers comes alive in this hot second. And apropos, Jimmie Rodgers live 1929 in Color came up as the suggestion after this. (In full brakeman attire. He didn’t get EA&D’d. Just TB’d)
Maybe you all should have a go at covering Rhonda Vincent's "Kentucky Borderline" celebrating the L & N "Pan American" (even if you don't look as good-sorry!).
The song is “In The Gravel Yard” by Blue Highway.
Thank you!

That ain't just a business car, that's a serious business car.
Wait... If you're here, then WHOS RUNNING THE TRAIN!?! 😂
AHHHHHH
491 can handle herself
It’s being run by a very nice guy named nobody (jk)

Corridor tender 😂

Hyce: "why am i hearing sounds like Kenosha?........... OH CRAP!"
When you have too much fun on the railroad
id love to be in a bluegrass band someday, just gotta learn the banjo better
Learn the fretboard. It'll help with any instrument you end up on.
Wow! Mark can flat pick like Tony Rice? Very cool!
This is fuckin peak
I love this
Bro, this is why we need more trains
you should do it smells like Kenosha when 491 is pulling a tarin and then call it blue trains.

*You're riding on the Rio Grand Southern*
Of course without the lyrics at the end, I feel like this exact rendition of In The Gravel Yard should be part of the soundtrack to "Century of Steam"
that vocalist is doing great keep up the great work, hopefully some day well have a whole track of songs to listen to on a road trip or rail trip!

@@Redwagon2012 phrasing

I need to have harmonica lessons so I can play some bluegrass on it.
What's better than trains or bluegrass? Trains AND bluegrass.
I’d pay good money to ride the D&S with this bunch haha. These tunes with that view? Perfection.
Very good Tony Rice like flat-picking!
Love the bluegrass
Wow all of you are so good 👍. Sweet sound.

This was filmed by the museum's marketing director on my phone. :D
Best music video on TH-cam in my honest opinion.😊

What is the band that you are playing with here? I need more of their great sound in my life. This video just has the best vibe
Wish I knew! They got hired by the museum to play for this event and I didn't catch names.
This has THE vibe, if you know what I mean
like the feeling you get when you re look at old train books and there is information that is still on your level
Can we please have this song in Centry of Steam!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Perhaps a new song for CoS using the title of this video as a name? Business Car Bluegrass?
What a beauty!
What was the song played?
No idea! They just kept calling out keys and I tried to keep up. Lol
@@hycestudio5084 We must find out then make a music video then call it Grande Blues By Hyce and the Burnham Boys
Song title is "in the gravel yard" would be cool to see a full length version from burnham & run.

I am not sure! They called a name really fast and said a key and I tried to figure it out. lol.
The song is titled "In the gravel yard"
@@hycestudio5084It’s a good piece. Seems like you managed to find the key and keep up! A real treat
Average musical shenanigans on the RGS
when you get bored on the railroad
There’s not a prettier car to have such fun in
Funniest shit I’ve ever seen
Hold on who fiered thevloco, all the hsual susoects ( known from your videos) are in the oassanger car
