General Radahn's boss fight is the epitome of "honorable death" in my eyes. He went down in a way he would've wanted, in battle. An not to just any person, but to someone who becomes an elden lord.
One sad detail i noticed when i visited redmain castle was a chair close to the lift before Radahn's arena. It was facing the beach. Which made me believe that Jerren spends most of his time looking at his old comrade driven by madness.
If you read Jerren's helmet, it says that he was a guest commander in Redahn's army. And that he had sworn an oath with him to each meet an honorable death. I wonder how many Radahn festivals he's hosted.
Can you imagine looking out from your porch and seeing that monstrosity ride his emaciated horse, or being woken up in the middle of the night to the howls of the mad, rotten general?

The thing I love about the Radahn fight is that its not really a boss fight so much as it is an epic raid just to put him out of his misery. Thats why it feels necessary and canonical to summon all those warriors to help celebrate the event and what a spectacle it is too.
I always see the pre-Rot Radahn as a stoic, almost fatherly figure. Stern, demanding, but had high hopes and pushed people under his command to be the best they could be. That kind of guy to give you a pat on the back after a hard day of work then offer helpful solutions to reduce the workload.
The battle between the two was implied to be a stalemate. As a draw would still mean Malenia was never defeated. Also Malenia was stated to have given into the Scarlet Rot to "meet Radahn's measure", meaning she wasn't able to beat him without the rot. And finally, Malenia was pulled out of the battlefield slumbering all the way back to the Haligtree after blooming, while Radahn was still alive. Had she been left there, she would have died.
You seem to have left out the part where the rot was also eating away at Malenia from the inside, she was missing body parts, partially blind and she was also not at full power because she wasn’t at the third bloom. I love Radhan but you dickriders are annoying creating your own lore and passing off your opinions as facts. Also she was born with the rot, yes it’s a cancer but also part of her abilities to use. This is war to the death and anything goes.
She was unable to hold back the rot, her needle given to her my miqella held back outer gods which after it was broken she could no longer hold it back hence what happened to caelid
Well she was born cursed with the rot so there was no, "beating him without the rot." The rot is apart of her. Plus she was dealing with it since birth. What happened to radahn was she cursed him with her rot. And he couldn't even deal with it for a second. It absolutely destroyed his mind in the process. That's why it's a stale mate. She over exerted herself and fell into a deep sleep and radahn could no longer continue the fight because he was driven insane. He no longer could rationalize and was essentially turned into a clueless beast with an insatiable appetite. If he happened to kill her. It wouldn't have been legitimate as victory for radahn. 1. Cause she had to be completely disabled for him to win. And 2. There was no point after his mind got destroyed because his goals and ambition ceased to exist at the point. A strong mind is also important.

The thing I like about his clash with Malenia is that we’ll never know who would’ve won had both of them reached their full potential, with Malenia in her form as the Goddess of Rot and Radahn no longer held back from restraining the stars

The whole reason Milenia nuked Radahn and Aeonia in the first place is because she was probably losing or knew she was no match for Radahn. It was her last ditch attempt at defeating him even if it killed her too. We know she had to be carried back probably in a near death state and has been regenerating at the Haligtree ever since that battle.
Imagine having to fight a 100% full power Radahn… Words wouldn’t be able to describe that battle. Thank you for the lore, very informative and entertaining. Makes me love Radahn even more!
@@rossl5908 malenia literally nuked an entire landmass by willingly putting herself in a gravely wounded state by her own blade just to let her disease do the fighting for her to kill Radhan. The result was Malenia was completely KO'ed by her own attack and Radhan the chad tanked a nuke point blank and survived. The scarlet rot took Radhans mind and legs overtime but that is not to Malenia's credit. Her goal was to challenge and kill Radhan but she failed and Radhan lived. Oh and the entire time during his fight with Malenia AND YOU he was reserving massive chunks of his power to keep himself light enough to not crush his steed and literally hold all the stars and meteors in the sky still. If thats not fucking BADASS i dont know what is.

He’s actually one of my favorite bosses / characters ingame next to Rykard. The fact that Radahn isn’t a power hungry mad man, but an honorable general who loves his horse and family won me over. I’d liked to have seen him pre rot.
I love the juxtaposition to his brother as well. Rykard was an evil, corrupted monster his men finally saw as the monster he was. Radahn was such a leader even his madness he was so respected they threw The Radahn Festival until the general got the honourable end he deserved
His story reminds me of Artorias from know about him by the stories of his glory, achievements, and strength, only to find that he is just a crippled shell of his former self and still beats the ever loving shit out of you

One of the most Epic battles in the entire game...Fun and Brutal at the same time. He has become one of my favorite Boss Battles. They could make a Video Game or Movie evolving around Radahn and I'm buying it.
This is what storytelling is about. A story well-woven with a perfect cadence of tone. Enticing, reminiscence of another age where words and imagination were powerful tools. Well done, Dan.
Sadly 😥 fromsoftware disrespect him by nerfing his damage and increases the damage he gets. The only boss that fromsoftware has created to be battled differently from any other bosses, Ofcourse you can fight him alone and challenge yourself. But at early release of the game I couldn't beat him without the help of the others, and it's was magnificent battle. But now with the unnecessary nerf and NG+2 I can easily beat him in his first phase. That's really a bummer. If there is a boss that needs a nerf it's melnia without a doubt
i fully agree with you radhan was my favorite fight during my first run of the game until i got to into ng+, then i realized how much easier it could truly be after the nerf and with a full build, malenia deserves a fat nerf to how she can recover like 300 hp a hit, i’ve never been more annoyed with a boss sometimes especially that flurry combo when she just busts it out randomly
you can actually beat Radhan even before the nerf. using those companions to beat Radhan will just make him tough as an old leather boot and that also applies to any boss fight using summons. Radhan isn't that hard, he just become so tanky once you activated those extra help.
I would love to cure him, so he would become an Npc, so you would have the option to support him to become the elden lord for a different ending, or fight him and he would be cranked straight to 12, and on 2x so you can see his true strength and mastery along with his weightless from the gravity magic, and he would be summoning the stars he holds back to bombard you and have the stars visibly leave from the from the night sky, so that if you last long enough the stars would be all gone and leaving you in a starless night and the star attacks would end
In my opinion Radhan is going to be "Legendary boss" in From Software lineage of games, like Artorias, Smough and Ornstein, Gael, and etc... I Mean, the community and al fans are loving the Radahn's backstory and fight, so i think we could already put him in this list of God Tier bosses from FromSoftware, Right? He is fucking Awesome!
Player characters aside, I think Radahn may now be the biggest badass across the entire FromSoft game catalog. Yes, more so than the Abysswalker, and the accursed beast who reclaimed his humanity through beloved moonlight.
I would love to fight prime and younger radahn even if it means being one of the hardest boss fights in all of the souls games just to give this legend some justice
Fun fact: the lion that radahn adores comes from his idol godfrey the 1st rlden lord and serosh. The red mane comes from his father radagon. I love radahn man.
Amazing work as always. As you said, truly a living legend. While I currently serve the Fell God as an ardent redeemer, I do study the Ancient Dragons (Placidusax, Granssax, etc.) and assist the Stars (Ranni; I always do her ending). And out of the Demi-god children of Marika, Radahn is an absolute favorite and I would love to have fought him at his prime - or died in his gravitational wormhole or meteor barrage, which is still epic. Anywho, I just wanted to add one more bit of lore about Redmane that I love: Redmane Knight Ogha. I love the Legendary Ashes and so far Ogha & Kristoff are my favorite. But reading the lore for Ogha is so amazing (like Finlay’s). “The longest serving member of the Redmane Knights, Ogha studied techniques to manipulate gravity alongside Radahn.” That signals to me that this knight was also a legend who travelled along side Radahn very closely. And it shows every time I summon him and he instantly begins obliterating enemies with his great bow without me even prompting. Thanks friend 😇 Anywho. Thanks again for all the great content. Radahn, Ogha, and the Redmane Knights are truly stuff of legend and I hope they get a redemption (as I wish for the Fell God and Fire Giants) once the next reign of the Lands Between begins (hopefully by Ranni, but who knows! Dung Eater and Goldmask would also be cool continuations.) Gonna go play some more ER. I think I have rambled enough. Enjoy exploring, learning, dying, and growing my beautiful, fellow Tarnished!
Something I think would be amazing for Elden Ring, isn’t just Radahn or Malenia in prime form, but everyone, basically we would get to fight all the bosses Pre shard war, in which we could not only go more in depth with the lore of all bosses and the world itself before it came to ruin, but also experience literal gods and demigods in their true forms, Such as Radahn being able to have full control over the stars, his gravity magic capable of crushing all who oppose him, I would love to see this in which we could see all of the bosses backstories and challenge them at their strongest.
What if Radahn instead of holding up all the stars we see in the cutscene after beating him, drags them all down with gravity magic to rain meteorite upon his foes the way Astel destroyed Nokron, and judging from how many stars there are and how much damage a single star did to the terrains in limgrave just by simply falling, now imagine all those stars being accelerated by gravity magic while each one of the stars being powerful alien beasts that also master gravity magics, imagine the destruction he could've caused, but he didn't do it because he wished to protect his people and territory, unlike malenia who doesn't care at all and nuked caelid with rot

I finally beat Radahn last night. That was probably one of my favourite boss battles that Fromsoft has done. Fighting to the bitter end. Shit was just cinematic 🔥

One sad detail i realised after watching this - Nelson. Hes struggling with Radahns weight in the pre battle cutscene. I always noticed and assumed Radahn's magic just took some of the weight and he was just still struggling a bit. But according to this video hes meant to be weightless. Which means he was slowly but surely losing even the last trace of Radahn, and slowly letting his weight down - eventually he wouldve just, squashed his friend. And walked away without even knowing.
Radahn's story, along with the story of the ancient Godskin Hunt, are my favorite pieces of lore in ER. This is why I'm a Fromsoft junky. These epic stories held just below tge surface are so rewarding to put together
Malenia was his true rival? Radahn quite literally mopped the ground with her so bad she unleashed her scarlet rot. This rot could only be unleashed three times before she was consumed by it. She practically set off a bio weapon due to how badly she was losing. Malenia, the Blade of Miquella was a piece of cake for the chad Radahn.
In a world completely dominated by scheming liars and treacherous minds, you have the few chads that really stand out in the mix; Radahn, Godfrey, and despite not being in the game, Havel comes to mind as a similar themed character. Warriors all, honorable to a fault, fighting for their fellow kin, to prevent some great evil from befalling the world. They always seem to have tragic endings to their tale, but long after their supposed demised, they still linger as fearsome enemies, and carry on as the most memorable and respected characters in their series.
I really feel like this is the most complete story they've been able to tell. It feels like what they wanted to do with dark souls. Elden ring is phenomenal!

1 thing I wish this game had in was the ability to HEAR the bosses(some) from outside boss doors. Jerren's saying how Radahn is wandering and howling at the sky, I wish we could see and hear that from the lift that takes us to the boss door...or maybe from inside the castle.
@0:58 I never noticed this before, but the gold etching/design on his sword is a symbol for a planet's magnetism, with the North and South pole exploding. That would explain his gravity magic. That's a pretty cool little attention to detail.

And people who say that she is crippled with scarlet rot and lacked her arm, aren't right. Her prosthetics are better than real arms and scarlet rot, as we saw, making her only more dangerous. Her deed becomes only worse if we remember that because of it, the whole region which was under Radahn's control is now cursed with her poison. With the same success, Radahn could drop all stars he was holding onto her head.
@@auditor7613 I'm pretty sure if we're talking pure destructive power, from what we've seen in Elden Ring nothing really compares to Radahn's ability to drop thousands of stars. We saw what happened when one star fell from the sky, it created a giant crater that we use to enter the eternal city. He had thousands if he dropped them he could wipe out the entire continent.
He didn’t lose. It ended in a draw and both suffered the consequences, more so Radahn. Radahn got driven mad by rot and Malenia used too much power worsening her own inner rot and forced her into a long slumber. Both warriors were never able to continue the fight to see a true victor. Malenia was a monster though you’re right about that. Just rot nuked the entire land with her ultimate attack while my man didn’t even think about nuking her with those thousands of stars he was holding.
@@Daboy804 Well it also should be said that he pushed her to the absolute limit. That was why she used her ultimate attack. In the trailer, she was putting back on her arm while he was just standing there waiting with his arms crossed. Must have knocked her arm off during the fight and waited for her to get combat ready again. Definitely seems like the better warrior of the two. Her powers were more dangerous though and she unleashed it on him and the land. He beats her in skill and strength, she beats him in power and speed. Battle ended in a draw, but my man did manage to push her to limit firstz
the shivers i got when the stars started moving, just the shear number of them made me realize, that was nowhere near as strong as he could've been, if only his wits were still there and he wasn't hold the stars back.
I believe that Radahn won because it states in the lore says that Radahn was about to kill Malenia when she gave into the scarlet rot and in the beginning cut scene you see Radahn about to kill Malenia

I got the game recently, and even knowing how much weaker his boss fight is now, it’s still my favorite fight so far. Radahn is my second favorite (nobody beats Alexander. AKA the one that should have been Elden lord)

A literal gentle giant, who's belief lies in the might of his master, Hoarax Loux; his pride of his lineage, with his bright red hair out in display for all to see; and his faith in the words of his teacher, the Alabaster Lord whom taught him the powers of Gravity, enabling him to protect his family, his men, and his home from the dangers lurking in the Stars, creatures like Astel, and Fallingstar Beasts, and above nearly all... ride from youth to death with the one being who stood by him, even above his men, holding a War Funeral for him; his dear friend, his mount, his ally, Leonard. I call him... *General Gigadahn, Scourge of the Stars.*
His cutscene was amazing, I just wish we got more. That's one of my only 2 complaints about this game... Not enough story and the quests are FAR too vague.
Are you new to souls games? That’s how they kinda are. You’re lucky to even see a cutscene for him. Many cool bosses in other souls games don’t even get that
Hmm? Oh wait your new to souls games arent you? Well thats how it usually goes with souls games. The lore is rarely just told to you. You have to read everything and come to your own conclusions. And as you progress throw the game youll find more items either confirming your theory or disproving it making you have to come up with another one based on what youve learned.
Regardless, whether I'm new or not, it would still be MUCH better if we got some amazing visuals. I don't see how that would diminish the mythical "Souls experience".
@@lewispooper3138 I actually just started the Demon Souls remake for PS5 and after only just a few hours, I'm COMPLETELY blown away. I can't believe how gorgeous this game is. EVERYTHING, from the character model, the enemies and bosses, the environment, even the animations are beautiful. I don't know why Elden Ring wasn't made with the same level of detail. I even redownload Elden Ring just to see if I was imagining just how much better Demon Souls looked, but as soon as I started playing ER, it was immediately clear how much more polished DS is. You also have MUCH better support for the Dualsense controller as well.
What's scary is radahan wiped the floor with milenia quick. But she scarlet rotted to get away. And when the player fights radahn he's literally dying anyways and like at 15% mental or physical state from the rot deteriorating his body and mind
By far my favorite fight in the game. A glorious entrance and story behind the fight itself. I love the character design and emotion behind him. Malenia is still my favorite of the demigods in ER and for me her story is much more sad. I love the depth of every character in the game even down to the mobs you fight along the way! Would love to have a prequel book or comic series come out to read and really dig into the lore leading up to the game.
It was very odd to hear you narrate a lore video. I think the script was great and you delivered it well (not as well as Vaati… obviously😄) but I felt that for you to improve you would need to build up your style. In my opinion it had a little bit of a children’s bedtime story tone and would have liked to hear a bit more character. I’m sure you have a “souls” voice in you somewhere 😊. Who is Dan Allen in the Lands Between? What tales echo out through his voice?
Radahn is like Orphan where you're fighting him at a fraction of his potential and still can easily beat you down over and over. For melee builds Radahn, Astral and Godfrey are just brutal. At least you can parry Melania.
not even that radhan was holding back ALL the stars and meteors in the sky while having to keep himself light enough for his horse ALL THE WHILE fighting her and she STILL had to nuke a continent by almost killing herself so her rot would bloom and do the work for her.
Malenia is a beast tho, she's the only one that can brag about trading blow with prime radhan 1v1, and came out alive as strategic victor. Most demigods can't even look at radhan in his eye.

Physically radhan only lost his feet but he did lose his mind. Not to mention her own ultimate attack knocked her ass out so her best knight had to carry her unconscious body to safety or she'd likely have died there. Radhan took her bloom POINT BLANK LIKE A UNIT and lived. With all the handicaps he had like holding back the stars and keeping himself light for his horse and protecting it. Pound for pound I think radhan is superior. Milicent even mentions how Malenia had to toss her pride and honor aside just to match radhan

Only person to beat rahdan is Morgott, opening scene of the game one of the stills used is morgott on top stabbing someone in the shoulder with Radahns armor we can assume is Radahn cause no one else has his armor. But it’s pre gravity radahn cause of the size of them both in the still in the intro.

He literally carries himself as being the exact opposite of "bombastic" in the cutscene against Malenia.
He can’t fit in any building though.

General Radahn is one of the most bad ass bosses in any game, his lore, his character art, his boss fight everything is so well put together.

The thing I love about the Radahn fight is that its not really a boss fight so much as it is an epic raid just to put him out of his misery. Thats why it feels necessary and canonical to summon all those warriors to help celebrate the event and what a spectacle it is too.
I always see the pre-Rot Radahn as a stoic, almost fatherly figure. Stern, demanding, but had high hopes and pushed people under his command to be the best they could be. That kind of guy to give you a pat on the back after a hard day of work then offer helpful solutions to reduce the workload.

The battle between the two was implied to be a stalemate. As a draw would still mean Malenia was never defeated. Also Malenia was stated to have given into the Scarlet Rot to "meet Radahn's measure", meaning she wasn't able to beat him without the rot.
And finally, Malenia was pulled out of the battlefield slumbering all the way back to the Haligtree after blooming, while Radahn was still alive. Had she been left there, she would have died.
You seem to have left out the part where the rot was also eating away at Malenia from the inside, she was missing body parts, partially blind and she was also not at full power because she wasn’t at the third bloom. I love Radhan but you dickriders are annoying creating your own lore and passing off your opinions as facts. Also she was born with the rot, yes it’s a cancer but also part of her abilities to use. This is war to the death and anything goes.

Well she was born cursed with the rot so there was no, "beating him without the rot." The rot is apart of her. Plus she was dealing with it since birth. What happened to radahn was she cursed him with her rot. And he couldn't even deal with it for a second. It absolutely destroyed his mind in the process. That's why it's a stale mate. She over exerted herself and fell into a deep sleep and radahn could no longer continue the fight because he was driven insane. He no longer could rationalize and was essentially turned into a clueless beast with an insatiable appetite. If he happened to kill her. It wouldn't have been legitimate as victory for radahn. 1. Cause she had to be completely disabled for him to win. And 2. There was no point after his mind got destroyed because his goals and ambition ceased to exist at the point. A strong mind is also important.

The whole reason Milenia nuked Radahn and Aeonia in the first place is because she was probably losing or knew she was no match for Radahn. It was her last ditch attempt at defeating him even if it killed her too. We know she had to be carried back probably in a near death state and has been regenerating at the Haligtree ever since that battle.
Imagine having to fight a 100% full power Radahn… Words wouldn’t be able to describe that battle. Thank you for the lore, very informative and entertaining. Makes me love Radahn even more!

@@rossl5908 malenia literally nuked an entire landmass by willingly putting herself in a gravely wounded state by her own blade just to let her disease do the fighting for her to kill Radhan. The result was Malenia was completely KO'ed by her own attack and Radhan the chad tanked a nuke point blank and survived. The scarlet rot took Radhans mind and legs overtime but that is not to Malenia's credit. Her goal was to challenge and kill Radhan but she failed and Radhan lived.
Oh and the entire time during his fight with Malenia AND YOU he was reserving massive chunks of his power to keep himself light enough to not crush his steed and literally hold all the stars and meteors in the sky still. If thats not fucking BADASS i dont know what is.

Sadly 😥 fromsoftware disrespect him by nerfing his damage and increases the damage he gets. The only boss that fromsoftware has created to be battled differently from any other bosses, Ofcourse you can fight him alone and challenge yourself. But at early release of the game I couldn't beat him without the help of the others, and it's was magnificent battle. But now with the unnecessary nerf and NG+2 I can easily beat him in his first phase. That's really a bummer. If there is a boss that needs a nerf it's melnia without a doubt
i fully agree with you radhan was my favorite fight during my first run of the game until i got to into ng+, then i realized how much easier it could truly be after the nerf and with a full build, malenia deserves a fat nerf to how she can recover like 300 hp a hit, i’ve never been more annoyed with a boss sometimes especially that flurry combo when she just busts it out randomly
you can actually beat Radhan even before the nerf. using those companions to beat Radhan will just make him tough as an old leather boot and that also applies to any boss fight using summons. Radhan isn't that hard, he just become so tanky once you activated those extra help.

I would love to cure him, so he would become an Npc, so you would have the option to support him to become the elden lord for a different ending, or fight him and he would be cranked straight to 12, and on 2x so you can see his true strength and mastery along with his weightless from the gravity magic, and he would be summoning the stars he holds back to bombard you and have the stars visibly leave from the from the night sky, so that if you last long enough the stars would be all gone and leaving you in a starless night and the star attacks would end

In my opinion Radhan is going to be "Legendary boss" in From Software lineage of games, like Artorias, Smough and Ornstein, Gael, and etc... I Mean, the community and al fans are loving the Radahn's backstory and fight, so i think we could already put him in this list of God Tier bosses from FromSoftware, Right? He is fucking Awesome!

Amazing work as always. As you said, truly a living legend. While I currently serve the Fell God as an ardent redeemer, I do study the Ancient Dragons (Placidusax, Granssax, etc.) and assist the Stars (Ranni; I always do her ending). And out of the Demi-god children of Marika, Radahn is an absolute favorite and I would love to have fought him at his prime - or died in his gravitational wormhole or meteor barrage, which is still epic.
Anywho, I just wanted to add one more bit of lore about Redmane that I love: Redmane Knight Ogha. I love the Legendary Ashes and so far Ogha & Kristoff are my favorite. But reading the lore for Ogha is so amazing (like Finlay’s).
“The longest serving member of the Redmane Knights, Ogha studied techniques to manipulate gravity alongside Radahn.” That signals to me that this knight was also a legend who travelled along side Radahn very closely. And it shows every time I summon him and he instantly begins obliterating enemies with his great bow without me even prompting. Thanks friend 😇
Anywho. Thanks again for all the great content. Radahn, Ogha, and the Redmane Knights are truly stuff of legend and I hope they get a redemption (as I wish for the Fell God and Fire Giants) once the next reign of the Lands Between begins (hopefully by Ranni, but who knows! Something I think would be amazing for Elden Ring, isn’t just Radahn or Malenia in prime form, but everyone, basically we would get to fight all the bosses Pre shard war, in which we could not only go more in depth with the lore of all bosses and the world itself before it came to ruin, but also experience literal gods and demigods in their true forms, Such as Radahn being able to have full control over the stars, his gravity magic capable of crushing all who oppose him, I would love to see this in which we could see all of the bosses backstories and challenge them at their strongest.

One sad detail i realised after watching this - Nelson. Hes struggling with Radahns weight in the pre battle cutscene.
I always noticed and assumed Radahn's magic just took some of the weight and he was just still struggling a bit. But according to this video hes meant to be weightless.
Which means he was slowly but surely losing even the last trace of Radahn, and slowly letting his weight down - eventually he wouldve just, squashed his friend. And walked away without even knowing.

Radahn's story, along with the story of the ancient Godskin Hunt, are my favorite pieces of lore in ER. This is why I'm a Fromsoft junky. These epic stories held just below tge surface are so rewarding to put together
Malenia was his true rival? Radahn quite literally mopped the ground with her so bad she unleashed her scarlet rot. This rot could only be unleashed three times before she was consumed by it. She practically set off a bio weapon due to how badly she was losing. Malenia, the Blade of Miquella was a piece of cake for the chad Radahn.

In a world completely dominated by scheming liars and treacherous minds, you have the few chads that really stand out in the mix; Radahn, Godfrey, and despite not being in the game, Havel comes to mind as a similar themed character. Warriors all, honorable to a fault, fighting for their fellow kin, to prevent some great evil from befalling the world. They always seem to have tragic endings to their tale, but long after their supposed demised, they still linger as fearsome enemies, and carry on as the most memorable and respected characters in their series.
I really feel like this is the most complete story they've been able to tell. It feels like what they wanted to do with dark souls.

1 thing I wish this game had in was the ability to HEAR the bosses(some) from outside boss doors. Jerren's saying how Radahn is wandering and howling at the sky, I wish we could see and hear that from the lift that takes us to the boss door...or maybe from inside the castle.

And people who say that she is crippled with scarlet rot and lacked her arm, aren't right. Her prosthetics are better than real arms and scarlet rot, as we saw, making her only more dangerous. Her deed becomes only worse if we remember that because of it, the whole region which was under Radahn's control is now cursed with her poison. With the same success, Radahn could drop all stars he was holding onto her head.
@@auditor7613 I'm pretty sure if we're talking pure destructive power, from what we've seen in Elden Ring nothing really compares to Radahn's ability to drop thousands of stars. We saw what happened when one star fell from the sky, it created a giant crater that we use to enter the eternal city. He had thousands if he dropped them he could wipe out the entire continent.

Radahn got driven mad by rot and Malenia used too much power worsening her own inner rot and forced her into a long slumber. Both warriors were never able to continue the fight to see a true victor. Malenia was a monster though you’re right about that. Just rot nuked the entire land with her ultimate attack while my man didn’t even think about nuking her with those thousands of stars he was holding.

In the trailer, she was putting back on her arm while he was just standing there waiting with his arms crossed. Must have knocked her arm off during the fight and waited for her to get combat ready again. Definitely seems like the better warrior of the two. Her powers were more dangerous though and she unleashed it on him and the land. He beats her in skill and strength, she beats him in power and speed. Battle ended in a draw, but my man did manage to push her to limit firstz

I got the game recently, and even knowing how much weaker his boss fight is now, it’s still my favorite fight so far. Radahn is my second favorite (nobody beats Alexander. AKA the one that should have been Elden lord)

His cutscene was amazing, I just wish we got more. That's one of my only 2 complaints about this game... Not enough story and the quests are FAR too vague.
Are you new to souls games? That’s how they kinda are. You’re lucky to even see a cutscene for him. Many cool bosses in other souls games don’t even get that
Hmm? Oh wait your new to souls games arent you? Well thats how it usually goes with souls games. The lore is rarely just told to you. You have to read everything and come to your own conclusions. And as you progress throw the game youll find more items either confirming your theory or disproving it making you have to come up with another one based on what youve learned.
Regardless, whether I'm new or not, it would still be MUCH better if we got some amazing visuals. I don't see how that would diminish the mythical "Souls experience".

@@lewispooper3138 I actually just started the Demon Souls remake for PS5 and after only just a few hours, I'm COMPLETELY blown away. I can't believe how gorgeous this game is. EVERYTHING, from the character model, the enemies and bosses, the environment, even the animations are beautiful. I don't know why Elden Ring wasn't made with the same level of detail. I even redownload Elden Ring just to see if I was imagining just how much better Demon Souls looked, but as soon as I started playing ER, it was immediately clear how much more polished DS is. You also have MUCH better support for the Dualsense controller as well.

By far my favorite fight in the game. A glorious entrance and story behind the fight itself. I love the character design and emotion behind him. Malenia is still my favorite of the demigods in ER and for me her story is much more sad. I love the depth of every character in the game even down to the mobs you fight along the way! Would love to have a prequel book or comic series come out to read and really dig into the lore leading up to the game.

I think the script was great and you delivered it well (not as well as Vaati… obviously😄) but I felt that for you to improve you would need to build up your style. In my opinion it had a little bit of a children’s bedtime story tone and would have liked to hear a bit more character. I’m sure you have a “souls” voice in you somewhere 😊. Radahn is the most saddest character in elden ring... Even more so after the DLC... Imagine forcing your soul to come back and be a consort

Radahn was a truly great boss.
I love bosses and lore like this. Makes me feel like I really killed a god or demi god.
So if it weren’t for scarlet rot he would’ve been nearly undefeatable or at least the strongest boss.
I would love to see a prime radahn in future dlc

Radahn is like Orphan where you're fighting him at a fraction of his potential and still can easily beat you down over and over. For melee builds Radahn, Astral and Godfrey are just brutal. At least you can parry Melania.
Except orphan is an expertly crafted fight with balance and radhan clogs your screen with his ass and you beat him by just standing underneath him
Radahn was so beastly, Malenia had to toxic stall him
not even that radhan was holding back ALL the stars and meteors in the sky while having to keep himself light enough for his horse ALL THE WHILE fighting her and she STILL had to nuke a continent by almost killing herself so her rot would bloom and do the work for her.
Malenia is a beast tho, she's the only one that can brag about trading blow with prime radhan 1v1, and came out alive as strategic victor. Most demigods can't even look at radhan in his eye.

It's eating her alive too as much as it is radhan. Granted she's resisting it better than anyone but it took both her legs, a arm and her eyes and you can see it doing work on her other arm too.
Physically radhan only lost his feet but he did lose his mind.
Not to mention her own ultimate attack knocked her ass out so her best knight had to carry her unconscious body to safety or she'd likely have died there.
Radhan took her bloom POINT BLANK LIKE A UNIT and lived. With all the handicaps he had like holding back the stars and keeping himself light for his horse and protecting it.
Pound for pound I think radhan is superior. Milicent even mentions how Malenia had to toss her pride and honor aside just to match radhan

Only person to beat rahdan is Morgott, opening scene of the game one of the stills used is morgott on top stabbing someone in the shoulder with Radahns armor we can assume is Radahn cause no one else has his armor. But it’s pre gravity radahn cause of the size of them both in the still in the intro.
