When your liberty is at stake when you find yourself in a court case, do you want a digital RECORDER or a trained and certified Court REPORTER who has been trained in a Voice Writing or Steno Writing verbatim theory?🎉

There are not enough stenographers to handle the overwhelming number of pre-trial procedures. This is why certified digital reporters came into existence. Other than not typing 225 wpm, digital reporters do all the functions of a stenographer, and most are certified by the AAERT.

Ignore negative comments by stenographers. Many (not all) feel extremely threatened by digital court reporters. There is enough work and money for all types of court reporters. Additionally, with steno school having an 85% dropout rate, all types of court reporters are needed.

This is a digital court RECORDER, not a trained state- and/or nationally- CERTIFIED Voice Writing or Steno Writing REPORTER.

Not threatened at all. Our concern is for the clients. Trained real-time court reporters will always do a better job than digital recorders.

      ikr?
Poor quality transcripts from digital RECORDERS with multiple "inaudible" entries have caused MAJOR INTERRUPTIONS and disappointments in the judicial process.
IF it's YOUR day in court, do you want to take that chance that you'll have no verbatim record of every sound, every sight, and every SYLLABLE?
Avoid the shortcuts, the cut rates, and the misinformation...
If digital recording is so much CHEAPER, you better ask why.
You gonna get what you pay for... 🥸

@@MindRegulatorMusic If YT would allow links, it would be easy to provide proof regarding the number of mistrials due to the failures of digital. Not to mention the feedback from judges and attorneys who hate it.

Thank you. I'm in school now to become a digital court reporter and your videos are so helpful. Thank you!

An inferior alternative to the trained court reporter.

Definitely. Can they do readbacks? Are they trained in multiple-voice? Are they certified to do Realtime?

@@MindRegulatorMusic Digital reporters can and do perform playbacks and readbacks, as well as mark and hold exhibits, designate speakers; objections; unusual jargon; and other important time stamps. Digital reporters are necessary due to the nationwide shortage of stenographers. Several stenography schools have closed in recent years due to the shortage. That does not invalidate digital reporters. Furthermore, digital reporters can be and often are certified by AAERT.
