Sir or Anyone reading comment. Please tell me if I am right? 1. Aapne 3 lot size ka future contract liya hai, jiska matlab aapko 3 * 20 = 60 shares buy karni hain. 2. Aapne 100rs per share par 60 shares buy karne ka commitment kiya hai, iska total contract value hai 100 * 60 = 6000rs. 3. Aapko margin dena hai, jo ki 10% of contract value hai, yani 6000rs ka 10%, jo hai 600rs. 4. Mark-to-market process ke through, aapke account mein har minute market price ke changes ke according profit ya loss reflect hote hain. 5. Agar market price badh jaaye aur aapka account profit mein chala jaaye, toh aapko wo profit credited hota hai. Agar market price gire aur aapka account loss mein chala jaaye, toh aapko wo loss adjust karna padta hai. 6. Expiry ke time par, aapko contract mein decide kiya gaya price par shares buy karni hoti hain. Yahan, aapne 100rs per share decide kiya hai. Is prakriya mein, aapko market ke fluctuations ka samna karna padta hai aur aapka margin account maintain rakhna zaroori hota hai, taaki aap future contract ko fulfill kar sakein.
Sir like pls tell is exposure margin count as additional margin... For if our position get low , the % is decided by us or broker and what it should be in calculation pls do tell for maintaining position and to continue m2m calculation? Pls explain
Why does the closing price of the previous day become the reference price on the next day when we have bought the original future say @ RS 100? why the original buy price is not being considered to calculate the margin? Also does this daily profit and loss get adjusted from the margin on a daily basis? Say 1 lakh was the original Margin and 1st day I got the 2500 profit, does it reduce the margin to 97500? and so on?
A Question: What is counter party default risk and how did M2M helped us in avoiding that risk ? From previous videos I recall that counter party default would mean that the other party denied to buy or sell so is it the case that getting profits and losses settled in the same day ensuring us the promised trade in the contract ? Also since SEBI and exchange is involved in this futures, how is there a counter party default "risk" in the first place ? Other than above, amazing video and everything was beautifully explained.
