I feel like assembling IKEA is mostly a 1 person job except for when you need a 2nd set of hands to hold something.
I was kinda hoping that both of the teams have to build LEGO and then both have to build IKEA... this way it's not really comparable.

Furniture designed to be quick and easy to build and put together vs. a toy designed to amuse kids for hours on end. Sure, that's a fair fight.

Next time choose something you can flip around in a second round. Something from Ikea that the kids could do, and the adults the Lego.

This was a great challenge. Now have teens do the Ikea furniture and give the adults a really complicated Lego set.

That wasn't a fair challenge. The kids had 400 pieces whereas the adults only had 30 at the most.

IKEA stuff really isn't that hard. The kids had a far harder challenge.
Building LEGO sets with 2 people goes slower. I love LEGO, I could easily build that in less than 30 minutes.

Watching Eric work on that furniture reminded me of watching teenagers at their first job in retail.
