This was great for fundraising and leadership in general...sometimes it can be tempting to win people over, which results in us being pushy. While I do think you have to let relationships/conversations breathe, I don't think it implies we have to be reserved or wait for others to ask us something. Part of being genuine, and having passion, is being excited about something and letting yourself be excited (but not showboating). Also, I do think my organization is the best in our area! ....but still, recognize other organizations have some different strengths. It's a giant game of rock, paper, scissors, really.

Hi! What if you are working on producing your own play but you can't get a break? I decided to film my play like a movie but I am AFRAID to ask for donations? What would you do if it looks like you can get a show done but you do not have $20,000? Help! I have sets, costumes, props but can't afford to pay for travel for actors/models and camera people!
Maybe look for an angel donor who loves the arts and sees the value in your play.

I dont donate as its a business nothing more has anyone see the big fances house and lovely car they own apart from that everyone the do donate they get back on their tax return it a CON AND I WOULD ADVISED ANYONE KEEP YOUR MONEY ITS ONLY KEEP THE RICH RICH NOTHING MORE
Shane, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying you don't donate to organizations where the top person has a big house and fancy car?
I am from England and work for a charity i am renting a house from my local council which i can just about afford and i dont own a car because that would be well over budget, yes we get paid because its our job just like yours but we dont keep the profits companies pay us before we are given contact nubers (my charity company anyway). So im not sure where you got your in formatuon from.
