Moments that made my heart hurt: The part with Niki where it flashed yellow and her looking happy and like ouch mate that hit hard. Tubbo's 'and I'm sorry I'm not enough', like yikesss Niki and Tubbo circling Fundy and him switching between sad and regretful and angry and feeling like he's in the right. Eret walking up was dramatic and I loved it and Fundy being like 'you're one to talk' hit the feels in all the right ways. And OMG Tommy walking up was so damn good. When he pushed Fundy down? c h i l l s. Honestly, the whole scene with Tommy felt so raw and anguished and it was amazing. Then we have Wilbur. Hole-y cheesus rice that hurt. One thing I really, really loved was that Wilbur didn't look at all angry. All of the others were angry, Niki screaming, Tubbo circling him, Eret basically being like 'are you happy now that you've screwed everyone over?', Tommy pushing him down. All were clear displays that they were angry and upset. Wilbur just looked sad and upset, the sheer betrayal you portrayed was perfection. The techno scene at the end was also golden. Actually, everything was golden. This whole animatic was beautiful!

Niki is mad because Fundy is betraying everything she stands for, Tubbo is trapped with Schaltt so he's upset Fundy is actively choosing him, Eret can see that Fundy is heading down the path he took that made all of his friends hate him, and Wilbur is obviously upset because Fundy has disowned him as a father and is undermining his life's work. But I think my favorite is Tommy. Cause, of course, Tommy is angry. Tommy's closest emotion is always anger. But he's the person who still sees Wilbur every day. He's had to be with Wilbur while they watched Fundy tear down the walls and replace the flag. His anger isn't for himself, its for Wilbur. Also, we draw Techno almost in the same way, and that makes me happy 😊

Yes, she did work hard to make the flag and he is going down a path that she doesn't agree with, but also she fought a war for and with him. The pet war. Fundy had gifted Nikki the fox that started the war. Not only had she cared about the fox, but also the fact that Fundy had given her the fox and didn't want his gift to go to waste. Fundy also fought with her. So the fact that she sacrificed friendships for the fox that they both owned was wasted with his betrayal. Not only this, but they owned a bakery together and ran for president together. She probably had the closest relationship with Fundy on the server. (I know this is just minecraft, but it's cool to think of it as a real life scenario, don't judge me.)

This animation convinces me the only person Wilbur's really loved is Fundy. He built L'Manburg for him, and he build the walls for Fundy. Every grab for power, including the election, was really for two purposes - power, and Fundy. So when Fundy burnt down the flag, betraying everything Wilbur had done, that was the last straw. Even if he has a redemption arc, Wilbur's snapped. He doesn't trust anybody, and his sole reason to save L'Manburg - Fundy - has denied him.
Yeah he cares about Niki too I mean he snapped back at the festival for Niki and mentioned her as one of the people they could trust. Plus I'm pretty sure he said Niki was his first lady while he was president.

I literally listen to the DEH soundtrack on repeat . And I have for about a year. I know all songs by heart and I have acted them all out. I’m obsessed
This is so good! The thing is Eret found out later Fundy is actually spying on schlatt for them, but they kept this from Niki and Tubbo which made all three of their scenes just work so well! Niki and Tubbo actually upset with Eret trying to keep the secret hidden. But then Tommy and Wilbur coming in hurt so much, Tommy's anger captured so well. And Wilbur's sadness and betrayed look there too. But honestly, I think some of the things that have happened recently would've been different if Wilbur would've known Fundy was spying for them.
Imagine Dream SMP takes its self to seriously and answers the question of who is the Fundy’s mom (and already I heard the salmon and Wilbur, and I’m just asking for drama)
As someone who did a character study on Wilbur's character and his descent into psychosis, I can say that Fundy's betrayal played a significant part in Wilbur's mental break. And even then, Wilbur was never explicitly angry at him.
I want to see Wil about to blow the place, Tubbo about to start his speech. Dream is watching from afar like always. Schlatt is standing by big Q and Mr furr bby makes an announcement before tubbo can start to speak. Schlatt is curious and asks Tubbo to wait, Wil is caught off guard as his plan might be ruined. Fundy goes to the mic and asks for Eret to stand with him. Eret, confused walks cautiously to him. Schlatt tells him to hurry up. Fundy and Eret share a glance. Fundy turns to his president, "This is for our brilliant president of Manburg." He pauses and looks at Eret. He whispers for Eret to get Niki, and Tubbo and run. Eret makes an excuse and sneaks away to get Niki. Tommy is by Wil trying to support him because he's still hurt ab fundys betrayal. He continues, "Since you exiled Tommy and Wilbur. A lot has changed." He smiles at schlatt, "I have something for you Schlatt." He gives him a book and as he's reading he pushes tubbo away, "run. Don't get in the crossfire." Fundy turns back and says tubbo has some pregnant problems and will be back. Dream draws his crossbow and aims at Schlatt. Fundy places tnt behind schlatt, looks in dreams direction and nods. Dream shoots the tnt lighting it. Schlatt noticed and yells for his companions to protect him. Before everything explodes, Fundy says to the people at the festival, "Dad..I'm sorry." Then wil get emotional as the message in the chat says Fundy blew up and everyone is trying to get away from the tnt that was planted. UwU. THis is now I guess an AU lol Edit: Also like the thought of Wil's desent into going insane started from when Fundy betrayed him

This hurts more now that we know Fundy was a double agent the entire time, but he couldn't tell any of them so they all believed he had betrayed them when in reality he was trying to save them
Wilbur singing "would that be good for you?" is especially haunting knowing when Fundy confronted Wilbur about his death, he asked: "did you think that would be *good for me?!* " seriously such a good animation and I love the range of emotions on Fundy's face in every panel.
Oh my godd Everything about this animatic is amazing! All the small details like the flashbacks and the small movements with the ears and the black fading in, when he finally went with Jschlatt, Jschlatt was back into a normal colour instead of a red and black silhouette, the perspectives changes, Technoblade at the end sitting with his sword. The facial expressions are on point as well! And with how aggressive Tommy’s part was showed the mood even more and I love it! You deserve more love
I got chills twice while watching this. Tubbo getting horns and Wilbur coming into the vid. POGCHAMP But Tommy’s personality TOTALLY matched Jared in the song
I love how it's a mix of animatic and animation, I'm not sure that was on purpose but I really enjoy it. The way you add horns to people who follow is also an interesting detail! The multiple angles feels like it's an actual movie (which it should be) is amazing! The Jshlatt flashes are also very interesting and amazing!You portrayed the characters in such a great way! Tommy's anger, but not for himself but for Wilbur, Tubbo's somewhat jealousy of how Fundy could leave but he can't, Wilbur's fatherly forgiving nature and how Eret understands his mistakes and doesnt want his old friend to do the same. When Eret sees Tommy coming he knows Fundy is in trouble because they're almost like family. Wilbur and Niki the parents, Tommy, Tubbo, and Eret the uncles in a way and then Fundy, Wilbur's son. Please keep up the amazing work, bruv!💖💞 you're doing great! (Not me watching this for the 5th time while writing this)
I’ll be honest? I wanted to make it as smooth as possible and tried to animate but I got so lazy I just went “y’know what? There, boom, not animating that entire thing” and I’m honestly just breathless because I finished something for once haha but I love reading all the analyzing comments like yours they make me very happy!!
I can understand why Tommy seems so angry. He finally trusted Fundy after Eret betrayed them, because he thought Fundy would, but he didn’t. But Fundy burned the flag. And burned all the bridges he had. He had really thought he could trust Fundy, and then he betrays them. That’s true anger.

So, Niki is angry that Fundy left because he burned down the flag that she made and betrayed his own father. Tubbo is disappointed with Fundy because unlike Fundy, Tubbo didn’t really have a choice or a say in what side he wanted to be on. Eret is telling Fundy to not make the same mistakes as he did. Tommy is pissed that Fundy left because his father provided so much for him and betrayed him. Wilbur is just... cold. Fundy disagrees with him on him being his actual father and was just “born in L’manberg,”. Wilbur has gone through so much and the cherry on top is his son’s own betrayal. Wilbur was going to KILL his own son at one point but instead let Techno do it.
I love all of the Dream SMP animatics, but this is the only one I’ve watched at least 10 times over. Niki’s expressions, Tubbo’s sadness, Tommy’s anger, and Wilbur’s disappointment is just perfect. Fantastic work!
The emotions in their faces! Nikki yelling at Fundy, her face flashing into Wilbur's, and the yellow scene where things were happy, when life was good. Tubbo being sad and confused Tommy running over to grab Fundy's shirt and yelling at him Eret walking up to him and telling him he's wrong, all the scenes of what Fundy did. Eret holding back Nikki as the flag is burning in front of her, Schlatt watching Fundy and the way his ears arched back when he felt he was in danger, Wilbur pushing the gang aside to lend a hand to his son, Fundy's internal conflict. THE SCENE WITH TECHNO, THIS. IS. AMAZING!
it's FUNDY!!! There are few musical songs that could make the focused character have the fewest lines and still be the center of attention for the scene and this song is definitely one of them. Especially choosing fundy for this. The betrayer son slowly being corrupted by goat president is a really neat detail. Eret getting a scene was awesome too. Tommy fit the role nicely. Also I need more angry Nikki thank you so much.

And Wilbur who wants fundy to be happy even if it hurt him but he just wanted to let fundy know how he feels.

Between 0:50-0:51, I loved how in Fundy's POV Niki's image had wavered from Wilbur, then back to herself, Wilbur (and probably Niki, I'm still somewhat new to the fandom) would've wanted him to stay, it's really fitting!

This is so good! The thing is Eret found out later Fundy is actually spying on schlatt for them, but they kept this from Niki and Tubbo which made all three of their scenes just work so well! Niki and Tubbo actually upset with Eret trying to keep the secret hidden. But then Tommy and Wilbur coming in hurt so much, Tommy's anger captured so well. And Wilbur's sadness and betrayed look there too. But honestly, I think some of the things that have happened recently would've been different if Wilbur would've known Fundy was spying for them.
Imagine Dream SMP takes its self to seriously and answers the question of who is the Fundy’s mom (and already I heard the salmon and Wilbur, and I’m just asking for drama)

As someone who did a character study on Wilbur's character and his descent into psychosis, I can say that Fundy's betrayal played a significant part in Wilbur's mental break. And even then, Wilbur was never explicitly angry at him.

I want to see Wil about to blow the place, Tubbo about to start his speech. Dream is watching from afar like always. Schlatt is standing by big Q and Mr furr bby makes an announcement before tubbo can start to speak. Schlatt is curious and asks Tubbo to wait, Wil is caught off guard as his plan might be ruined. Fundy goes to the mic and asks for Eret to stand with him. Eret, confused walks cautiously to him. Schlatt tells him to hurry up. Fundy and Eret share a glance. Fundy turns to his president, "This is for our brilliant president of Manburg." He pauses and looks at Eret. He whispers for Eret to get Niki, and Tubbo and run. Eret makes an excuse and sneaks away to get Niki. Tommy is by Wil trying to support him because he's still hurt ab fundys betrayal. He continues, "Since you exiled Tommy and Wilbur. A lot has changed." He smiles at schlatt, "I have something for you Schlatt." He gives him a book and as he's reading he pushes tubbo away, "run. Don't get in the crossfire." Fundy turns back and says tubbo has some pregnant problems and will be back. Dream draws his crossbow and aims at Schlatt. Fundy places tnt behind schlatt, looks in dreams direction and nods. Dream shoots the tnt lighting it. Schlatt noticed and yells for his companions to protect him. Before everything explodes, Fundy says to the people at the festival, "Dad..I'm sorry." Then wil get emotional as the message in the chat says Fundy blew up and everyone is trying to get away from the tnt that was planted. UwU. THis is now I guess an AU lol

Everything about this animatic is amazing! All the small details like the flashbacks and the small movements with the ears and the black fading in, when he finally went with Jschlatt, Jschlatt was back into a normal colour instead of a red and black silhouette, the perspectives changes, Technoblade at the end sitting with his sword. The facial expressions are on point as well! And with how aggressive Tommy’s part was showed the mood even more and I love it! You deserve more love

I love how it's a mix of animatic and animation, I'm not sure that was on purpose but I really enjoy it. The way you add horns to people who follow is also an interesting detail! The multiple angles feels like it's an actual movie (which it should be) is amazing! The Jshlatt flashes are also very interesting and amazing!You portrayed the characters in such a great way! Tommy's anger, but not for himself but for Wilbur, Tubbo's somewhat jealousy of how Fundy could leave but he can't, Wilbur's fatherly forgiving nature and how Eret understands his mistakes and doesnt want his old friend to do the same. When Eret sees Tommy coming he knows Fundy is in trouble because they're almost like family. Wilbur and Niki the parents, Tommy, Tubbo, and Eret the uncles in a way and then Fundy, Wilbur's son.

I can understand why Tommy seems so angry. He finally trusted Fundy after Eret betrayed them, because he thought Fundy would, but he didn’t. But Fundy burned the flag. And burned all the bridges he had. He had really thought he could trust Fundy, and then he betrays them. That’s true anger.

So, Niki is angry that Fundy left because he burned down the flag that she made and betrayed his own father. Tubbo is disappointed with Fundy because unlike Fundy, Tubbo didn’t really have a choice or a say in what side he wanted to be on. Eret is telling Fundy to not make the same mistakes as he did. Tommy is pissed that Fundy left because his father provided so much for him and betrayed him. Wilbur is just... cold. Fundy disagrees with him on him being his actual father and was just “born in L’manberg,”. Wilbur has gone through so much and the cherry on top is his son’s own betrayal. Wilbur was going to KILL his own son at one point but instead let Techno do it.
I love all of the Dream SMP animatics, but this is the only one I’ve watched at least 10 times over. Niki’s expressions, Tubbo’s sadness, Tommy’s anger, and Wilbur’s disappointment is just perfect. Fantastic work!

There are few musical songs that could make the focused character have the fewest lines and still be the center of attention for the scene and this song is definitely one of them. Especially choosing fundy for this. The betrayer son slowly being corrupted by goat president is a really neat detail. Eret getting a scene was awesome too. Tommy fit the role nicely.
