Imaginators would be my least favourite if it wasn't for a few things saving it 1. The roster is one of the best in the series 2. Creating a skylander is really fun 3. It isn't an unpolished mess (unlike my least favourite game in the series)
@@Mikeinoid you know i tried to get swap-force running on my wii u but there was a error and I bought 2 copys of the game so I got it for ps3 works just fine.
I felt the character creation was really limited in un-needed points. Like just let me select the body of a serpent, gremlin, humanoid instead of this class based shape thing the sensei’s almost never follow. And especially with the total weapons being divided by 10, finding exactly what you wanted was really hard. Also one of the core things with skylanders is there movesets and thankfully the general archetype moves like minions and such are here but it still feels really limited. However getting the fan favourite villains and grave clobber as figures is nice and the odds of the sensei’s have cool designs. My personal favourite is Ro-bow and yes I am one of the 10 people on earth who was able to get him from a store.
I wish the choose your Skylander feature on the switch was better organized. Idk whos idea it was to make u scroll through all ur Skylanders one by one
Fun fact about the Starter Pack: if you are in Europe, the portal is the one from SuperChargers, but without the possibility to use traps. Which is okay because they became useless in SuperChargers and probably didn't gonna work in Imaginators because 11 of playable Skylanders are villains from Trap Team. xD

Imaginators and Superchargers left me with dissapointment, it just felt like "the magic" just wasnt there, same with the show, i mean the show was fine i guess. but i think as a small child the game was super cool! but after swapforce it all went downwards i guess the games just got pay-to-win after a while, like the game and the characters was super expencive all together but like to buy in-game chests is doo doo But on a better note, i like ur content keep up the good work :D
if they fixed the following about creating a skylander, it would be perfect: 1) over half the roster isn't even humanoid, why force our skylanders to be one then? let us choose between: dragons, dogs, body-less (like ninja but optional), things like that. 2) "you really like this piece of armor? too bad because it's common so you have to choose between good stats or good looks" Don't do this, don't make us choose between looks vs stats 3) make some pieces of armor usefull, for example wings don't allow you to fly and look like someone glued it to them, it doesn't feel like part of their bodies. these are the major ones, but voices also could use a patch there are only 3 voice combos that actually sound decent, the rest is just a pain to my ears
The cool thing about having a small collection is that you have a bunch of Skylanders to add to it! I'm at a point where it's became difficult to find specific ones I'm looking for.
@@Mikeinoid The Cursed Tiki Temple and Lost Imaginite Mines were actually very common to get as an easy grab for a while as long as you were on top of release dates and constantly asked stores😎🙂👍, I just don't think anyone made the effort to try at times😁😂🤣, plus, at least for my area they were easy to get anyway😎🙂👍
The main reason this is my least favorite game is because of how weak the old skylanders are. I remember buying it for switch with no new characters apart from the starters cuz I was falling off and it just felt wack
the game felt incomplete to me. the levels weren't that great and i wasn't a big fan of the fact that the past gimmicks (mostly traps and vehicles) couldn't be really played in the game. it just felt bland and lacking. not just that but i think the creation crystals could've been a lot better. i felt like what they could've done was group the classes into a larger class, like melee, ranged, sorcerer, etc. depending on the weapon you choose for your character determines what your primary attack is. i think they should also add more attack options for each of the elements so that way you can create way more diverse characters. yes you could potentially have 3 imaginators with different fire attacks for example, but some of the moves are really weak and lame. not just that but i think that you should be able to create characters that aren't just 2 legged either. it's a lot but i just think that the game felt really incomplete to me
They're basically after market cards that use the NFC technology in the Toys to Life figures (Amiibo/Skylanders). People make them to sell for much cheaper than the original figures for profit. They're not hard to make and they are a great option if you just want to use the figures without spending a bunch of money.

I agree with your criticisms towards Imaginators but the redeeming qualities aren't enough for me to give Imaginators a second chance, unlike Superchargers. I don't really think Imaginators is a bad game, it's just disappointing as the last Skylanders game. I'm acceptive towards Skylanders fans who like Imaginators and consider it as their favorite Skylanders game. Thanks to Imaginators, I got tired of Kaos being the main villain in every Skylanders games, especially after his character developmental arc in Superchargers. It would have been cool if Kaos actually became a Sensei skylander. Instead the main villain of Imaginators should have been Malefor or Hektore. Even though there isn't the 3DS version for Imaginators, I still decided to watch this video because I have been enjoying your look back videos on Skylanders games during these times.

I'm already sure about Imaginator being the worst Skylanders game just by based on the fact that it wasn't released on 3DS. Just kidding. But to be honest, the digital library of the switch version of Imaginators is a massive let-down compared to the digital libraries of the 3DS versions of Swap Force, Trap Team and Superchargers: Racing.
It's really weird that Imaginators didn't come out for the 3DS. Nintendo was still releasing games for it for the first 2 years after the Switch came out. I wish the Switch version had a better method of choosing your Skylanders too.

I'm not sure if the "size limitations" about ROM size of the 3DS cartridges or save feature back-up memory size. Considering the fact the 3DS version of Trap Team doesn't support traps, maybe the 3DS version could have been like the previous Skylanders 3DS platformer games with Superchargers and Senseis and wouldn't have supported Imaginator. Maybe this 3DS version of Imaginators wouldn't support traps and vehicles either, even though vehicles are supported in Superchargers: Racing.
