  • Hear the story of how a Christmas tree farmer in North Carolina created a sustainable ag enterprise on this week’s episode of the American Rancher.
Mitchell Bottomley and his brothers operate Bottomley Evergreens and Farms, a diverse farming, ranching and refrigerated trucking operation in North Carolina near the Virginia border. Their significant farming operation thrives in the cool Blue Ridge Mountain air and supplies a large section of the east coast with everything from Kale to Christmas trees. Rain is abundant, and so are opportunities. But for the Bottomleys, sustainability is a major part of their success.

Mitchell Bottomleys companies have been fined time and time again for a complete disregard for clean water supply regulations. They have continuously polluted local communities water as recent as last year
