@@crabby112it's uptempo Hardstyle and Psy Tarnce(wtf????). It died on its arse around 2011-12, but even then you'd be pushin the boat out a bit. There is not one single element in new "UK Hardcore" that shares any lineage with its roots in the rave scene. Even when Scott Brown and Breeze&Styles popularised the Tarnce influence, there was something about it that made it individual from just being Euphoric Trance at 170-175bpm. Listen to a tune like Dowster&Uprise - Steps Ahead and you'll hear what i mean. Nu style UK Hardcore if you wish to designate it as such is quite literally just Hardstyle at Hardcore tempos. Absolutely nothing rave-y about it. I don't care if it's poppin moreso in places like the US and Australia. Hardcore at least the UK variant (don't follow the Dutch Hardcore scene anymore)died circa 2011-12 when the Scouse House/Bouncy House stuff started leaking in. RIP I know some people would say Hardcore died in 96 when it moved away from its Jungle roots ,and others would say 98 when they pretty much all they could do with Happy Hardcore, but i think millennium Hardcore gets an unfair shake and is still in someway keep the essence of Hardcore alive, but just moving with the times. Nobody can tell me that is what is happening and has been happening with Hardcore in the UK since say 2014 and reaching peak awfulness in 2017 there abouts(some of it is on MonsterCat if that doesn't spell out for you how far it has fallen😂)
@@TheJohnsofDoes agreed the sound from early nuaghties to 2010 was iconic had that real happy hardcore sound with a whole new element the happy hardcore of the ninety's did not have, anything 2010 on wards is just awful, taken that euphoric sound and ruined it just a mish mash of crap
Scott Brown and Brisk should have done far more stuff than they did. But then there were lots of missed opportunities in the good part of the scene 02-07.
wish this had the digital re-release. the other side did! this one is absolutely immense. kosheen never sounded so pumping
Certain legal issues may have prevented it sadly
This is such a classic. Can't believe I am saying that now. Such a rush of old memories!
the guy is just different class
Scott Brown 's #1!
Still loving this Craig
Takes me back to the days of cheap cider & good pills...now I'm 40 with 2 kids & a mortgage 🤣🤣
Best hardcore dj producer of the early 2000s after that the scene peaked around 2004/5 now in 2021 the scene is dead
Evovled, different genres took influence from this era :).

It's alive and kicking in my basement 😂
