The Office of Tibet, London hosted virtual panel discussion titled ‘Changing Global Resistance Against Chinese Communist Party: Analysis and prospects for Tibet’ on Monday, 7 December 2020.It is hoped that this timely discussion on Tibet is heard by Tibetans inside Tibet as well in China, Tibet watchers, academia and students around the world.The guest speakers include: Kalsang Gyaltsen, Former envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Bhuchung K Tsering, Vice president of International Campaign for Tibet and Bawa Kalsang Gyaltsen,Chinese Liaison Officer, Office of Tibet, Canberra.
Office of Tibet in London is the official agency of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration based in Dharamsala, India. It was established in 1981 and represents Tibetan affairs in UK, Ireland, Northern Europe, Poland and the Baltic states. The main activities of the office include creating awareness of the plight of Tibet and to seek support from governments, parliamentarians, Tibet Support Groups, non-governmental organisations and human rights groups by maintaining direct contacts with them and informed on recent developments in Tibet. It serves as a source of information on matters relating to Tibet. The office is also responsible for the visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the countries mention above.
