According to the wiki, Para is the soul of the homunculus that Fumikado's soul is in now, but with Fumikado's original body. Essentially, Para and Fumikado swapped bodies.
It reminds of how I once saw fanart showing how someone depicts Taira no Masakado and at first I found it strange he looked more like para and then I reminded myself this
