MODDED Ascend 12T kayak walkthrough

Short walkthrough video of my Ascend 12T kayak. I was pretty new to kayaking and even newer to modding kayaks when I first got this one so a lot has been switched around multiple times as I learn new tips and tricks. this is a very budget friendly build any everything was very easy to put together. Love all the mods. Impressive. I have the same kayak. Have any suggestions on tools/materials to patch a small crack. Just realized my kayak is taking on water inside. Thanks

@@eddieb3328 thanks. They make small plastic welding kits for small cracks but i could also try something like jbweld for a quick fix.

Hello, thanks for your video. I am ready to convert my motor to my kayak. but I noticed that there are PMWs that are brushless or brushed. Does it matter? Thanks

How do you like the seat? I was looking at one, but 1) The fabric looked too thin, like it wouldn't last long and 2) it didn't seem like the bottom went far enough back under the tailbone.

Honestly I'm not sold on the seat. I'm a bigger guy and I feel like it's not very comfortable. After about an hour I need to get out and stretch cause my lower back is starting to hurt. Fishing an all day tournament with this seat would be pretty tough. Gonna try an extra pad and see if that helps at all.

In comparison from the original shorter seat it came with vs the taller upgraded seat you added which one do you like more and is better in your opinion.?…

I like the higher back. But it's really not much of a difference as far as comfort.

Is this kayak good in rough waters

I honestly would say no. Ive had it out on Cayuga lake a few times and even a little chop is hard to deal with. It does not track very well. I fish mostly rivers and smaller lakes so its fine for what i do but as for bigger waters that can get a little choppy i would definitely go a different direction than this kayak.
