Tried my awd system on a dirt pile to see how it would work on loose dirt. Notice the front start to turn as the rear is lifted and spinning. More overlanding to come.
Thanks, going to try the same spot this summer with the traction control off and see how it does in the same spot, different tires but it's about the system and how it works.
No, this is not the case, this Ford Edge Sport is not a regular class, the regular class is almost suitable for the off roads. The Ford Edge 2011 is very good in off roads.
@@Mr.Q9i have a 2013 select AWD , got some good tires with thick threads, i added struts spacers, gave me about 3 in of more clearance, wheel alightment, boy,, let me tell you,, it can go further lol. It grabs very well, i love that thing i take it up pikes peak and around anywhere where i can think of, it brings me home every time
If you have a tire that's spinning, apply some brakes and more throttle together. The spinning wheel will be slowed by brake action, and your vehicle should start to drive forward through the brakes. Not good to do all the time.
I think the problem here is tires. The awd system is distributing the torque effectively, but the tires simply don’t have enough tread depth or grip to gain forward momentum.
The purpose of the video was for me and others to see how the system awd worked, wasn't trying to get anywhere specific. Appreciate the suggestion though. This is clearly not a vehicle I would want to take down a muddy path even with more aggressive tires, AWD is definitely not 4x4.
Number one the tires are not made for dirt. And the edge is really not for off reading. Maybe in your back yard. But nothing serious. To aid with slick roads. Lol.
@wb_anks2990 because I wanted to see how the awd system worked. I wasn't trying to make it up the hill, I anticipated the spin,, just wanted to see how fast other tires would kick in.
Looks like a decent awd system. Thanks for showing what ppl really want to see

It sure doesn't help when you have street tires on meant for smooth riding and through water. All terrains would have worked much better I'm sure.
Thank you for this video i bought a used ford edge 3.5 2014. I will never take this buddy off road. 😂

The main problem it's how to get it out with out tow hook(
I have a burning smell at high revs and uphill drive any experience you have with your car?
Check the brake
Change the tires that’s all

That was a horrible. I have a ford escape and I would have made it up that. why did you take it easy??

Must be a city boy!
Imagine how ye drives in snow.
this was not about actually offroading down a trail or trying to climb a hill, it was about seeing how the awd system worked.
Yeah its kind of a city car lol.
