Abidjan is a metropolitan city of over 7 millions people. The city is undertaking a lot of infrastructure development such as the construction of the Abidjan subway, the construction of the Cocody Bay, the construction of the 4th bridge on the Ebrie Lagoon and many others major construction projects across the city and surroundings.

Please , correct you statement. The language spoken mainly in Ivory Coast is French, followed by Twi, then Madinka. 40% of Ivorians are Akans and Akans speak Twi, not Madinka. Try and educate your viewers properly. There are also Hausa/ Fulani speakers, as well as Nzema speakers in Ivory Coast. Madinka's only make up 20% of Ivorian citizens. Akans makes up the largest Clan in Ivory Coast. I enjoyed the video though. Thank you 😊.

The demographic in Ivory Coast has been changing since late 70th and it's been very hard for some Ivoriens to accept that reality, and I wonder WHY!!!?? With Twi/Akan language alone, you wouldn't make it pass 5 miles from your surrounding anywhere in Ivory Coast. And it looks like everyone else is head counting Dioulas how many percent they are in Ivory Coast except Dioulas themselves. Thanks for your comment though, and also thanks for watching my videos. Akans still makes up 40% of Ivorian population. The dominant languages spoken in Ivory Coast is still French and Twi. Madinka/ Dioulas is a minority. No-one is head counting them in Ivory. The information you gave here was wrong. Madinka is largely spoken in Senegal and not Ivory Coast. Plus, there are several other spoken languages in Ivory Coast. Your video is very educative, however you lost me on that single statement.

Also ethnic makeup alone doesn't determine the main language because there is such a thing as trade languages. You said yourself French is the main language, but there are (almost) no French people in Ivory Coast, it's just an important shared language.
@@connormurphy683. Twi is a language spoken by all Akans. However; there are different dialects in twi. However, all twi speakers understand themselves. French is spoken everywhere in Ivory Coast. You must not know Ivory Coast very well, I guess. I go there twice every year. My mum is there. A dominant language is determined by the percentage of the ethnic population of the language. As it stands now; French is the language of domain in Ivory Coast, followed by Twi. Madinka is mainly and widely spoken in Senegal, Guinea and some part of Mali

Their biggest ethnic group is Oromo but everyone speaks Amharic. And I will have to correct you again Sénégal is Wolof very small Mandingo. But Gambia is Mandingo with Wolof side by side. Guinea Conakry is Fula-Fulni/Peul and Susu comes with Mandingo in the second distance, unless you are in Kankan région then Mandingo becomes your premier language. Almost 90% of Maliens speak Dioula/Bambara/Mandingo (same) Not "SOME"... as you mentioned. Hausa is only spoken by some traders who come to Ivory Coast for business they are not part of Ivory Coast ethnic group, they are very very small in number, but Ghana has Hausa. You said you are half Ivorien and you go to Ivory Coast twice a year... Hum ... That tells me now how much you really know about today's Ivory Coast demographic. I think next time you are in Ivory Coast please try to expand your circle a bit and you will see how widespread Dioula is spoken.
