I love he real song and admire her voice so much, but I do think that her vocals weren't completely up to par for this live version.. It was good but not incredible.. A lot of artists who don't sing well live don't actually use autotune. Its probably easier singing in a studio than in front of a live crowd, and in the studio you get as many takes as you need to get a line in tune.

I decided that if I become a singer I would note use auto tune and Photoshop etc... It really annoys me when people act like they have a voice they don't.

All amazing singers acknowledge the need for the support of a back up singer. Many are talented in their own right. There's an amazing documentary called 20 Feet From Stardom that has the stories of all the great back up singers and their contribution to music.

I agree, Katy perry has no talent and I've never liked her. But I think that Rihanna can sing without autotune. She may use it, but that doesn't mean she can't sing.

i think the most impressive part of this is they sound just as good live as they do on album.
Unfortunately, at least the violin was a playback track. He had a broken string that would definitely not let him play the notes he was. I'm hoping no one else was playback. The singing was definitely live though.

Its awesome how the violinst can still play so well despite breaking his e-string. He had to improvise by moving up a few more positions and its really hard to do. I play the violin :)
