That was excellent, I usually don’t like books written to be a continuation of ACs Works - but I very-much enjoyed this story. I appreciated the delicacy, insight and observation that Miss Marple (and Udon) were rendered with - things that Many Other ‘wannabe’ Authors usually don’t achieve; the only thing I wished to be otherwise was the lack of the beautiful descriptions of life and environment surrounding/tied-to during the final part of the narrative. …Not about to quibble over that, the book IS excellent! As an aside: I found it interesting that a Chinese Child at this time would have been angered that a Man would have had 2 Wives; as I understand it - and without giving-away important, to spoil the story for Others - it was traditional to refer to individual-wives by number ex: First-Wife or Second-Wife. The Author (and hence the Inspector and Miss Marple) doesn’t seem to be aware of this fact, as it’s not mentioned. Is it that ‘He/She who cannot be named’ isn’t aware of the multiple-marriage tradition, or is the issue that the wife traditionally owed fealty/faithfulness/respect had been denied it? (That last possibility makes the most sense to Me.) ;)
All kudos to Agatha Christie for her literary legacy - I have thoroughly enjoyed almost all her works; but I have to say that this story ranks right up there with the best of Christie's Marple stories. All kudos to author Kwok for this delightful story! Thank you for sharing this with us.

As for the Latin dances, such as the Rumba, the professional dancers have turned the dance into a shadow of its former self. It’s become so stylized, that I as a Latina, do not recognize it. I’d rather see an elderly grandmother dance the Rumba with her doting grandson, nothing sexualized, nothing risqué, just something nice.
I listened to this out of curiosity. It is yet another example of crappy faux Christie. The Christie Estate should be ashamed for agreeing to the release of short stories and novels not written by Agatha Christie under the Christie name. Why? Money. All to keep the brand alive and still kicking. Shame.
I enjoyed this story very much and 😮. The narrator has a very pleasant voice and did a wonderful job.
