Thanks a lot for the video. Pretty useful! What should I do if I want to exclude ties when ranking by group? Example: in your latest example we have 2 females with the same score.
Hello I'm attempting to use the VBA method. It is working on my spreadsheet, however Im attempting to use the rank number as a priority setting that I can change on my list to reorganize the list to my highest priority. Example, list item, take out the trash- rank 5. I change the rank to 1 because it is now the highest priority and everything moves and shifts however, now I have 2 number 1 rankings and I'd like the list to insert the line item and adjust all the ranks below 1 by adding 1 to 1,2,3,4. Thus, resetting the ranking in sequential order. Is this possible?
Very good tutorial. Thanks. I have more than 200 students in a class of various faculties in the same sheet. Also a few students secured same marks in the same or different faculty. I want to rank them faculty wise. I use MS Office 7 where these options are not available as shown in the Video. Will you please make a video on this problem?
Excellent tutorial. Thank you Chester.

How do you remove ties in the last example with countifs?
I would like to know the same!
Did anyone figure this out yet? I can only think is to do a countif() for each group separately.
Still wait
Thank you so much for your very informative vedio 👍👍
