Harold Fannin would be an awesome H-back for this team. Juice is a converted tight end, but isn't played at tight end. Harold Fannin can actually play tight end, and is a plus plus blocker in space. But they do need to roster another guy who can play fullback in jumbo sets. Convert a short defensive or offensive lineman to play that role and he can play on special teams too.

Really interesting thoughts about the team being too comfortable. I was a huge Detroit Red Wings fan back in the early 90’s and the Wings had a really talented roster and a coaching staff with a good pedigree and so on. They won during the regular season but couldn’t advance in the playoffs. They were very comfy. Scotty Bowman comes aboard as HC and suddenly….it wasn’t such a comfortable place to be but ya know what? They started winning when it counted. They became a juggernaut and went on to win four Stanley Cups across a decade. Comfort is overrated. Players play best when you light a fuse under them.

BEFORE we hired him, he lost a SB becuase he refused to stop passing in the 2nd half. Here we are, nearly a decade later and the very last game we had he passed 16 times in a row despite the pass not working. A spitting image of that SB nearly a decade ago. Since he was an OC, Kyle has issues in the 2nd half. He has issues closing games. He has issues running players into the ground. He plays the wrong players when he has better alternatives. How long did he leave Brock sitting when Brock was hot? How many times did he feed Deebo the Ball when Pearsall and Kittle were hot? He plays the wrong plays when he has better alternatives. He also has issues identifying a franchise QB. He also got rid of Wilkes, with no replacement ready to go. JUST ONE of these issues will keep you from getting a ring. The absolute WORST thing the Niners can do is bring back Kyle next year. This single mistake alone will set us back years but we know they will do it becuase many fans and members of media are still toting the "get rid of Shanny? You are crazy!" line. Brock doesn't throw picks at the end of games when he isn't struggling to come from behind late, throwing to slow receivers, trying to operate behind a bad O line. It also helps in close games to be able to rely on your defense and special teams from time to time, and Brock couldn't this year. When you can't rely on your defense or special teams, you play hero ball. Brock was pressing all year, and he's still a young QB. Remember, Brock is only 25. To put that in perspective, Stafford was 25 when Obama just started his second term. Brock will get better in those situations with more experience and a better supporting cast. If you think a guy like Goff is worth 53 mil, that's basically what Brock is worth to this team.

If your O line is better, you won't force the ball out early or have the ball disrupted at the line as much. Also, if your running back is really good, an opposing team's defense has to account for that and can't devote the safeties and linebackers to coverage as much, which leads to more interceptions. So no, quarterbacks DO throw more picks when their supporting cast isn't as good. Brock can throw the football. He wouldn't have so many attempted and completed air yards per completion if he had the weak arm people like you say he has. He's proven he can win with better weapons, and he doesn't even need a great offensive line. Imagine if he had what Goff has in Detroit. He'd be putting up top 5 numbers again, and he'd probably be healthier because their line keeps their QB so clean. Speaking of the Lions, they just extended Goff. He's making 53 mil a year, and they have elite weapons and one of the best O lines in football. So they're proof that the 49ers CAN pay Brock and still field a Super Bowl contender. I understand that Shanahan will be back next year. However, I listen to Krueg, Bruce, and Cohn. The 49ers are in free fall. All roads lead to Shanahan, whether it is bad drafts, trading for Lance, poor hires (assistant coaches), and failure to adapt. So, Shanahan will stay, and the 49ers will continue in their free fall.

I’ve heard Larry say on multiple ocasions the terrible decisions made on field on defense special teams and on offense. Yet, he doesn’t say it directly that it’s Kyle’s responsibility. However, many of the topics brought up about how the season has gone fall directly on the head coach. Larry how can you complain about the Niners NOT getting O Linemen, not scoring enough offense points in critical games, not going for it on critical 4th downs, and clock management. So how can you point out all the flaws of the Niners this season yet still defend Kyle??? It’s almost 9 years and 0 chips. You know in European and Latin American futbol, world class teams like Liverpool Man U Real Madrid Inter Milán Boca Jrs. etc, the CLUB IS ABOVE ANY HEAD COACH. AND IF YOU DONT DELIVER CHAMPIONSHIPS, YOU ARE OUT THE DOOR. DOESNT MATTER WHO YOU ARE. Guess here in the NFL it’s different. Kyle is somehow this brilliant offensive mind of our generation yet 0 Superbowls at this point. Niners organization should be above any head coach regardless who is and their prime objective should be winning Superbowls and not prioritizing Kyle’s style points over the organization.

1. This draft needs to be patient and great. Primary investment should be OLine. Draft Trent’s replacement, first. Then rebuild the rest of the Oline.
2. Get rid of Moody, Deebo, and Juice. The time has come.
3. Get rid of both the defensive coordinator and special teams coach.
4. Make Kyle hire an offensive coordinator.
5. No more roster politics…best player PLAYS. No more keeping rookie talent in the bench for three years.

To win a SB, Shanny would have to overcome multiple things that no other coach with similar stats has overcome.

Finally someone gets it. Thank you for posting the stats to back up your thoughts. Kyle is too stubborn. We will continue to not win super bowls as long as Kyle is here. He passed on Mahomes and Brady is all that needs to be said.
@blakematthews8673 Appreciate it brother. You are 100% correct. Its easy for those to excuse Shanny if you don't look at the full picture. Plenty of coaches can win championships but will fall short of taking home the ring.
We have nearly a decade of stats for Shanny now. He has never improved on his weaknesses since being an OC. BEFORE we hired him, he lost a SB becuase he refused to stop passing in the 2nd half. Here we are, nearly a decade later and the very last game we had he passed 16 times in a row despite the pass not working. A spitting image of that SB nearly a decade ago.
Since he was an OC, Kyle has issues in the 2nd half. He has issues closing games. He has issues running players into the ground. He plays the wrong players when he has better alternatives. How long did he leave Brock sitting when Brock was hot? How many times did he feed Deebo the Ball when Pearsall and Kittle were hot? He plays the wrong plays when he has better alternatives. He also has issues identifying a franchise QB. He also got rid of Wilkes, with no replacement ready to go. JUST ONE of these issues will keep you from getting a ring.
The absolute WORST thing the Niners can do is bring back Kyle next year. This single mistake alone will set us back years but we know they will do it becuase many fans and members of media are still toting the "get rid of Shanny? You are crazy!" line.
This is why Jed is no Eddie D. Every coach and player has an expiration date. Jed still does not understand that and its what keeps him from his SB goal.

Deebo needs to take a pay cut, and he won't. But trading him isn't financially worth it. He's just going to be overpaid to essentially be our version of Corderrelle Patterson.
Brock doesn't throw picks at the end of games when he isn't struggling to come from behind late, throwing to slow receivers, trying to operate behind a bad O line. It also helps in close games to be able to rely on your defense and special teams from time to time, and Brock couldn't this year. When you can't rely on your defense or special teams, you play hero ball. Brock was pressing all year, and he's still a young QB. Remember, Brock is only 25. To put that in perspective, Stafford was 25 when Obama just started his second term. Brock will get better in those situations with more experience and a better supporting cast. If you think a guy like Goff is worth 53 mil, that's basically what Brock is worth to this team.

Like literally every game there will be a we wide ass open wr and all he has to do is put the ball in front of them for a walk in td and the wr has to either stop or slow down every time. It happens in every game at least once i swear. Just happened last game with pearsal. Brock has no mustard on his throws he’s is physically limited. I think we can win with him but inly if we max out the weapons around him and we cant do that at 55+ a year. One thing I will cut Brock some slack for is that his O line is bad. It seems like there is constant pressure from inside which for brock is extra bad because he’s a shorter qb and these linemen are huge. Thats why so many of his passes get swatted. I think brock can be a top 10 qb but he has to chill out on the hero ball and he needs a lot of help.

If you have better weapons, they'll be open more often, they'll be in the right place more often, and they won't be in as many contested catch situations. If your O line is better, you won't force the ball out early or have the ball disrupted at the line as much. Also, if your running back is really good, an opposing team's defense has to account for that and can't devote the safeties and linebackers to coverage as much, which leads to more interceptions. So no, quarterbacks DO throw more picks when their supporting cast isn't as good.
Brock can throw the football. He wouldn't have so many attempted and completed air yards per completion if he had the weak arm people like you say he has.
He's proven he can win with better weapons, and he doesn't even need a great offensive line. Imagine if he had what Goff has in Detroit. He'd be putting up top 5 numbers again, and he'd probably be healthier because their line keeps their QB so clean. Speaking of the Lions, they just extended Goff. He's making 53 mil a year, and they have elite weapons and one of the best O lines in football. So they're proof that the 49ers CAN pay Brock and still field a Super Bowl contender. The front office just needs to stop making idiotic signings and draft picks.
The 49ers have been getting away with a crime paying a QB of Brock's caliber less than what a long snapper makes. It's time to pay the bill.
