Chance Larcombe If there’s no cover for your res it’s probably not worth it. Two down on your team is worse than one down. If you feel it is so important, ask your shield tank to cover you or even someone like a dva or roadhog to body block. Remember that you can still break line or sight with the corps to complete the res, so use that to your advantage. Use any cover available such a a rock or a wall. If you are going for an unsafe res, make sure you always have a flight path available. However, do not res a teammate to just leave them in a death trap, as that just staggers their respawn, hurting your team in the process.
I really liked how this guide was set up. One of my favorite tips against Ashe, is baiting the dynamite. A lot of times if I see Ashe gets a kills and she knows I’m looking for the res, I’ll wait a second or two before ressing, 9 times out of 10 she’ll throw a dynamite and blow it up near the corpse. Then after that you can res without risk of the dynamite. Great guide as usual! Can’t wait to see ones against other heroes. (Also, I love these drawing they’re so cute and add so much more character to the videos)

Ahh, this was released on my 25th birthday! I had to rewatch this again, cause I struggle with flankers, like tracer and Sombra. Tracer, not so much, as I take high ground if I can, and Sombra usually doesn't bother me too, as I'm generally an aggressive Mercy, and hit my shots well, and take our my pistol when they try and attack me. After a few times, they try and attack me and fail, they generally leave me alone thankfully.
Niandra, against sombra if you hear that she is throwing her translocator to use Emp you can immediately press you ulty because she won't interrupt you... Like when rain tries to block other rain's shatter with shield

girlgonegamer3033 I find that teammates usually don’t listen if there’s a lot of us talking so I usually repeat myself. I use push to talk and I only call out if it’s really important such as an enemy flanking us. If a teammate starts getting toxic, I would just leave team chat.

thanks for the tips sadly 20% of this video is useless for me because I am lvl100 bronze D.Va/Mercy main and doing callouts has about the same effect as talking in an empty Discord call.
I've never been in bronze and maybe it really is completely impossible 90% of the time there, but here are some callouts that I found helpful from high silver/low gold and up as I finally started climbing way back when after being stuck between 1700 and 2000 for several seasons: If you're playing Mercy and you've been healing an ally but then they go off on a flank mission or far into the enemy backline and it's not safe for you to follow them, rather than criticizing them for being reckless, I would say "I'm not with you, [hero name]". I found this would often get them to think about their position and return to the team in time to get healed. Spread out bc enemy has grav/EMP. Keep repeating it every now and then either bc they're not listening or bc they did but then eventually started grouping up again. Group up/regroup (can often feel like talking to a wall, and one time it took a full minute of me telling the team to regroup in spawn so we could push as a team with valk before they actually did, but sometimes you just need to keep at it and eventually they may listen). x behind/right side/left side. Help [ally in trouble]. For example, if the main tank was taking a lot of damage and pressure, I'd often call out to "help Rein/Orisa/Winston" and it would work shockingly well. Don't know if it would in bronze, because I think I started this in plat or high gold, but worth a shot! Calling out what target to focus is also always worth a try. If you see an ally focusing someone, it's a good idea to tell the team to also focus that target. (Actually one of the more difficult ones to get people to listen to haha.) Also, if you're playing D.Va and your main tank (if you have one) is withdrawing/pushing up without letting the team know, you could also try calling that out. When I played main tank and started telling my team when I pushed up and when I was backing out, I found that they often went with me and rarely got left alone without my support as the enemy pushed them, and I rarely got left alone without their support. Even if it's only one or two ally listening to you, it's ALWAYS worth doing some callouts, especially basic ones. It's also worth repeating them two or three times (so "help Rein, help Rein" or "Reaper behind, Reaper behind"). Occasionally you'll get a team that listens really well and I found that callouts made a huge difference to help me start climbing. Sorry for the wall of text, but I hope that this could help a little.

For Sombra don't be afraid to take the pistol duel. Here's why: - Your pistol does more damage than her AR (but less Ammo), 10 bodyshots or 5 headshots to kill her - Her AR spread is incredibly high - Your pistol is EXTREMELY accurate compared to her primary fire - Your hitbox is one of the tiniest in the game, which really saves you against Sombra's high spread - You don't even need to fight to the death, just make her low enough to translocate. Most Sombra's aren't greedy enough to take you down with them. - Sombra has low burst and most Sombra's lower elo have awful aim.
"just live lol" is actually helpful advice from you bc you explain how to do it! i've noticed that my recent climbing + insane stat improvement have come from not dying as much. i'm now averaging around 3-5 deaths a game instead of a lot more than that, which used to be an issue for me.

I really like your content, I think you give the best tips for Mercy and I want to thank you for making these amazing videos, because, unlike other tip videos, these ones are useful in every rank and in most situations, so I really appreciate that. Also, I don't know if you know this, but, when you are using superjump and you are still in the animation of Guardian Angel(when you are travelling to your ally but you haven't reached him yet) you can press the jump button earlier, and you will be propelled forwards, travelling more distance than with bunny hop. However this is not very useful in fights, because, it's difficult to know where you are going to land and you can end in a very bad spot. I normally use this to get back from spawn very quickly if there is an ally in front of me. Also if I want to escape and go back to my team, but this is very situational. It's not that useful, but I think it has some uses. I don't know if you know this, if you do sorry for this long comment, but I wanted to contribute because your videos really help me to get better at Mercy and at the game in general. I hope this was useful, also sorry for the bad English. Keep up the good work because you are amazing! :)
Another small tip for when you're against an enemy Tracer: Never stand still, even when there's no fight happening and your team is just regrouping. Good Tracers will sometimes go for cheeky pre-fight one-clips and Mercy will *always* be the preferred target in that scenario; if you're going to be afk/typing, make sure you're in a position that a hidden Tracer won't be able to easily reach with two blinks. Also a good idea in general is to have your pistol out when walking back from spawn alone; no Guardian Angel targets makes Mercy a very easy hero to spawn-camp.

Staying low and behind teammates while using Valk is so underrated. I’m still guilty of flying real high and then dying from a Soldier/Mccree/Ashe ult. I also find it better to bind crouch to two buttons. I use LAlt when I’m super jumping with LShift(ga) and a button on my mouse when using Valk or when I have to crouch to hide.

Hello! I'm a Mercy main stuck in plat. I quit for a while and now I'm back, but I keep getting stuck in the same range for competitive. I learned how to super jump (it wasn't a thing before I left), I have been working on my positioning a LOT, and I've been making sure I use Valk without holding it. A lot of the time I'm gold healing even with other primary healers. I feel that a lot of the time my team is just poking at the other team, but when they actually are aggressive they get split. Either this or they just are NOT putting out enough dps. I do tell them this as I use Voice Chat (despite being a female Mercy main). I've only been playing for two weeks again now, but I am really hoping to finally escape before I get burnt out. Am I missing something? I have even been playing Lúcio instead because everyone is saying he is better now. I am willing to just take any tips to get out of that hell hole. It's win lose win lose lol.
ive watched a lot of your mercy videos and ive really tried to adjust my mercy playstyle to heavily rely on damage boost. Using your tips ive climbed 1000 sr this season and am now sitting at 3900 w/ 1.7k dmg amped per 10. I love your videos and am having a lot of fun with this new way of playing mercy!

I really like how you brought up how to work with Ana a little bit because when I play Ana I never get help from my other support which I don’t always need but, when I’m on like 125 health I ask for healing and get ignored by most other supports I play with which makes me take myself out of the fight to look for a health pack or makes me use the nade on myself, which never allows me to use them aggressively.
This doesn't rlly have to do with the video but a really useful tip I know that helps me 85% of the time when genji ults is to wait for him to shift towards you (because 99% of the time he will go for you first duhh) and then guardian angel away. The only times it doesn't work is when you're alone, he uses shift into you, you ga but then he uses his ult to reach yuo again, or he is right above you with nano blade going straight down and blading (since he is right above you the shift doesn't rlly go that far and he can left click you right after so it doesn't give you that much time to react). Hope this helps!

Yea I play on ps4 Europe 4k which is top 500 there and if u ever look at the dps and healers almost everyone has ashe and mercy in their top 3

Easier said than done but you gotta not let it get you down! It's still practice for a match where allies do listen

However this is not very useful in fights, because, it's difficult to know where you are going to land and you can end in a very bad spot. I normally use this to get back from spawn very quickly if there is an ally in front of me. Also if I want to escape and go back to my team, but this is very situational. It's not that useful, but I think it has some uses.

Another small tip for when you're against an enemy Tracer: Never stand still, even when there's no fight happening and your team is just regrouping. Good Tracers will sometimes go for cheeky pre-fight one-clips and Mercy will *always* be the preferred target in that scenario; if you're going to be afk/typing, make sure you're in a position that a hidden Tracer won't be able to easily reach with two blinks.
Also a good idea in general is to have your pistol out when walking back from spawn alone; no Guardian Angel targets makes Mercy a very easy hero to spawn-camp.

Staying low and behind teammates while using Valk is so underrated. I’m still guilty of flying real high and then dying from a Soldier/Mccree/Ashe ult.
I also find it better to bind crouch to two buttons. I use LAlt when I’m super jumping with LShift(ga) and a button on my mouse when using Valk or when I have to crouch to hide.
TIL, When going against Tracer or Sombra, be wary of spawn camping by taking out the pistol and calling out teammates for GA

I'm a Mercy main stuck in plat. I quit for a while and now I'm back, but I keep getting stuck in the same range for competitive.
I learned how to super jump (it wasn't a thing before I left), I have been working on my positioning a LOT, and I've been making sure I use Valk without holding it. A lot of the time I'm gold healing even with other primary healers. I feel that a lot of the time my team is just poking at the other team, but when they actually are aggressive they get split. Either this or they just are NOT putting out enough dps. I do tell them this as I use Voice Chat (despite being a female Mercy main). I've only been playing for two weeks again now, but I am really hoping to finally escape before I get burnt out.
Am I missing something? I have even been playing Lúcio instead because everyone is saying he is better now. I am willing to just take any tips to get out of that hell hole. It's win lose win lose lol.
ive watched a lot of your mercy videos and ive really tried to adjust my mercy playstyle to heavily rely on damage boost. Using your tips ive climbed 1000 sr this season and am now sitting at 3900 w/ 1.7k dmg amped per 10. I love your videos and am having a lot of fun with this new way of playing mercy!

I really like how you brought up how to work with Ana a little bit because when I play Ana I never get help from my other support which I don’t always need but, when I’m on like 125 health I ask for healing and get ignored by most other supports I play with which makes me take myself out of the fight to look for a health pack or makes me use the nade on myself, which never allows me to use them aggressively.
the amount of times i get killed in support because everyone panics and runs back to support while stuck with a pulse bomb... omg.
This doesn't rlly have to do with the video but a really useful tip I know that helps me 85% of the time when genji ults is to wait for him to shift towards you (because 99% of the time he will go for you first duhh) and then guardian angel away. The only times it doesn't work is when you're alone, he uses shift into you, you ga but then he uses his ult to reach yuo again, or he is right above you with nano blade going straight down and blading (since he is right above you the shift doesn't rlly go that far and he can left click you right after so it doesn't give you that much time to react). Hope this helps!
