Believe it or not, this was the first video I've watched that introduced me to what ASMR was before I knew what it was. I believe I saw this video for the first time back in 2015.
these are the very first memories i have of asmr, whispers of my grandma praying and pallet knife sounds from Bob Ross. really awesome these are put together. thank you!
when my grandma prayed, she articulated, so i could still understand most of it. it was soft and quiet, sort of similar to how you delivered it in this video! great job with the painting btw, art is not easy! :D
I always try to watch the video straight through but I never make it. I usually fall asleep within 15 minutes. With that being said this is by far my favorite ASMR video! Bob Ross would be proud. :)
@@petemitchell2350 But it's true? The average roleplayer is just some thot talking slightly lower than indoor voice level and talking about inane shit. Said demographic of content creators are bottom of the barrel creators who have flooded the ASMR 'market' with twitch levels of thottery. If anything MORE people should be calling them out for their garbage.
His whispers are unmatched in the Asmr world.. the brush sounds however are consistent be cause of his highly developed hands. He had in my opinion reached Bob Ross level. Just not as many episodes which to our loss.
Heh, interesting, interesting, thinking about that, is that something a few people struggle with? ... Actually, I forgot how hard I found writing on a chalk board the first couple of times I did that, perhaps as with many things its practice, although I'm not sure, is it a person to person thing? when i first started painting I did it on a table, I actually found it much easier when I got an easel =D more freedom of movement and control I found (than leaning over/above the table)
I find it amazing how people such as yourself can paint things on a vertical canvas. It takes all of my effort to write legibly on a mounted whiteboard. Also I lol'd at 5:22
nice video :) I have several questions that hopefully u can answer, are u using acrylic paint, or another medium? what is the metal piece u r using called? and when using the large flat brush was there and medium on it to fade the colors or was it dry? Thank you
:) tnx Oil Palette Knife (Bob Ross Brand) larger one - i have a smaller palette knife too yeah - liquid white paint thinly applied under it that it blended /faded into :)
Can you please tell me how you clean your brushes after oil painting? I just started to paint with oils a couple weeks ago and don't really know how to use the mineral spirits to clean my brushes. I really appreciate it! This vid was great!!!
Regular guy Rumor has it that the man is locked inside an asylum where he remains naked eating flies, talks to himself and paints using his own excrement as oil paint. During full moon nights, people hear him screaming: "Maaaaaster!!!! I never betrayed you!!!" And cries as he whispers just like in this video and nobody can't understand a single word of his sad and pathetic speech... a terrible story... a true story... smelling oil dissolvent on regular basis, can cause irreparable damage....
Finally! I can't tell you how long I've been searching the ASMR community trying to find a video like this. You're incredible. This takes me back to watching Bob Ross as a little kid. Definitely subscribed!
Hey well I can tell you what I currently use and what i have in the past. Right now I use Bob Ross Odourless paint thinner in some container with a bob ross screen (didn't get the bucket, doesn't seem up to standard at all - can't leave thinner in there even apparently!) basically just pour some in about an inch above the screen and swish brush around then i dry against side of container and on bobross brush beater rack. alternatively do it OUTSIDE if using turpentine, maybe in an outdoor sink?
Paint is messy! =P Additionally, some have told me they get asmr from rubber gloves, not sure if its the sight or the sounds or both! Butyeah, paint gets er'where (other tools/bottom of palette/accidentally on the canvas) even when i'm being careful and oils are considerably harder to wash off skin than say, watercolour for example. I hope that answered your question! =P
Sorry iv been busy with marine stuff. What I like was the making of the mountain. And you talking soft. And it keeps me relifed from all the stress from pt.
I haven't done any portraits no, I'm really interested in things like scenery and stuff, that can possibly be manipulated in every which way and stuff. I know others have already said, its Bob Ross: The Joy Of Painting, I actually mentioned him/his show in this video although its kinda hard to hear I suppose :P I remember seeing him whe ni was little also, at my Grandma's on tv, rapidly painting lovely rocks and water, so good to watch. Thankya for your comment :)
Thank you reece! :) Link in the description to the next part of this painting (there's actually 5 additional videos adding all kinds of things to this particular painting, i just checked and wow didn't realise it was 5 more! haha)
Though not having them dry completely isn't great - especially with turpentine as it tends to leave a residue in the brushes and the brushes don't stay as nice as you'd want them too (has happened to me with one of my first 2 inch brushes the bristles n stuff go all bleh) So i'd recommend wiping against a paper towel afterwards too. Don't use soap and water with the nylon brushes either i've heard. Ask away if you have more questions or need something clarifying i'll do my best :)
Hi ive just stumbled upon.your vids there ace.as ive just got me some oils to start painting i picked up a few pointers.always been a fan of bob ross and im always watching out for a good asmr.keep it up fella.if you could give any advice to a newbie with oils what would it be.by the way or you from sheffield cos your accent is very familiar
I was just going to comment about how your technique with those mountains remind me of Bob Ross... And then I read a bit down the comments and saw that you use Bob Ross products (I didn't even know there was such a thing) and thought to myself "of course he knows who Bon Ross is." Lovely painting and thank you for the tingles! :)
had to comment again....because i am watching this again!! haha just wanted to say that i never would have thought mumbling could be relaxing but the inaudible whispering totally adds to the experience. you should make traditional asmr videos im sure you would be ace at it! your voice is perfect for it as well. xx :-) scarlet
What wizardry is this?! I have no problem watching ASMR videos of any description and length. But I've never been able to watch all of this because I fall asleep every time. Not because it's boring, far from it, it's fascinating watching you work, but I never get to see it all... Time to find some caffeine...
Wow, you are so talented! I used to watch a tv show when I was little of a man that would paint just like this, I wish I could remember the name of it. It would put me in a trance just the same as yours. Do you do portraits?
Brad, nice paintings. I have been painting for some time now. I don't have any videos made while painting them, but I sure enjoy painting. I love painting mountains. I was wondering, if there is someone asleep in the room, of the room next to you for the reason you are whispering. I would really help if you would talk a little louder. Thanks
It's this thing called ASMR. It's a tingling sensation generally triggered by whispering, as Brad does. You may not feel such sensations, which is fine, but this video is meant to be ASMR. I'm sure if there was enough demand for it, he would raise his voice in some videos :D
An ASMR legend I'd forgotten. Glad this came back up in my feed. Much better than the current trending ASMR channels.
If thought exactly the same
Brad where are you? You mumbling painting videos are among the best on youtube!
This guy I think passed away he looks familiar I thought I saw him on the news one day idk I could be wrong but idk I'm pretty sure he passed away though
Miss you Brad! Thanks for your wonderful vids and all the tingles.

This is Brad's best - never fails. You can see it is best from its popularity.
I swear i watch this 5 days a week before i sleep.
these are the very first memories i have of asmr, whispers of my grandma praying and pallet knife sounds from Bob Ross. really awesome these are put together. thank you!
I still watch bob ross! I wake up early in the morning at 5:00 sometimes just to watch it! THE Perfect way to start your morning! 👍👍
when my grandma prayed, she articulated, so i could still understand most of it. it was soft and quiet, sort of similar to how you delivered it in this video! great job with the painting btw, art is not easy! :D
Um dos melhores canais de arte e asmr, parabéns.
I agree
lovley painting Bradley buddy
I always try to watch the video straight through but I never make it. I usually fall asleep within 15 minutes. With that being said this is by far my favorite ASMR video! Bob Ross would be proud. :)
I keep coming back to this video and then I look at his channel and I think "keep wishing for him to make new videos" hehehe
Same here
Me too
I read something that said he passed away in 2016. Hope it's not true
tinnman 46and2
If that's true then nature has condemned us all by taking away two of the greatest people on the planet
Aaron Chan who was the other?
Glad i found this again
I was looking for this video for so long and eventually just gave up. And I randomly found it today. Wonder what ever happened to him.
@@GaryGlass1been month’s searching. Popped up randomly.

Very nice job. I fell asleep with TH-cam on and woke to this video. Had to rewind to see it.
Brilliant painting, and very relaxing. thanks bro!
Great video to relax and/or fall asleep!
I like the authentic feel to this. Not whisper presenting to the camera like a shitty roleplayer. He just talks to himself as he works.
I agree. I hate staged behavior.
happy trees ... HAPPY FUCKING TREES !!!
Was it necessary to call it shitty?
Charlezard this would have been such a great comment if you didn’t unnecessarily insult an entire demographic of content creators.
