I get what you’re saying, but saying that “it doesn’t solve the problem of tnexus” is a little bit of a misnomer lol without sparkitt the NEXUS part of tnexus literally cannot happen lol there aren’t any other thunder nexus-ers other than griffuse lol Also, you think drawing off a nexus in Thunder wouldn’t be toxic? Absolute madman lol
I definitely misspoke and meant it doesn't solve the problem of the deck Thunder. I see it as, it lost a piece of the deck, but now it's just Thunder. Similar to how I viewed Voltempest as just thunder. If the only thing that changes in the deck is Sparkitt is removed but the deck stays virtually the same as it was before (MAYBE 1 less Toxion? Some builds might drop Toxion) then the deck is virtually the same. I think it's ridiculous that so many people argue semantics on the word Nexus when the intent is clear to mean Thunder as a deck isn't changed much by the change. I think that if Dan wants to stick with the idea of Sparkitt providing hand advantage, making it positively impact the controller is better than neggingg the opponent. Hand rips aren't healthy, they're rife for abuse. I've been told the Nauts made a video specifically on abusing hand rips today. A card that can loop for no major cost is rife for abuse in the future.
I think if anything sparkit going, makes it so lighting doesn’t have an identity anymore. It’s just a splashable engine.
Yeah, I think he could’ve kept it as is just change the text to saying as long as it’s not your first turn, you can Nexus….
