I have been working with children over 40 years and this I would like to tell you: today it is an exception to see a child happy und busy, smiling and content without a overbording piles of toys!! Luce always finds an occupation by imitating activities from adults ( wiping the walls, cleaning with a broom, bringing her chair….) she plays with sand, stones, household gadgets, loves the cats …. Luce is simply a wonderful child!!! Congratulation on how you raise your daughter! Also how you talk to her, repeating words in both languages, italian and english! You do such a good job as parents! Greetings from a 72 years old Swiss lady
Children need interaction with the parents. Today's parents are so busy---including with their social media, that they neglect their own children's welfare. Sara and Luca are doing a fantastic job.
@mariannegottier we were the same with our son he had toys but he always was more interested in watching or helping what we were doing. Friends always complained and said he was spending too much time with us and not being a child. Yet every time we would visit their homes they were constantly complaining about all the kids stuff everywhere, and at the end of play resorted to yelling at their children to pick up their toys. Not one could see it was their own doing. And when they didn’t want them under their feet, the TV came on. It’s sad to see them now as adults struggling to deal with life’s pressure because they were never prepared or taught even the basics
@@9eyeswideopenthank you for your comment. You express it even better than I do, english is not my best foreign language… Children growing up with endless TV consumption have NOT a good development of the brain and are missing very important skills for their life ( like you said)! as a junk dealer most of my adult life .. I just love , love , love the curiosity shop you took us to .. one thing I love about your videos is that they are not staged and that you take us all to get a 'feel' for what Italy is like .. I am in love with the deep history and architecture .. the food and mostly the people .. thank you so much for bringing us on a European adventure every week .. xo from Canada
You probably thought of it. Since the kitchen floor tiles are damaged from the glue. I would flip them over and keep the wall kitchen tiles. Instead of painting them.
I have had the same experience one day removing tiles and ... Oups ... let's say hello to my family sitting on the couch in the living room thanks to the hole in the wall !! The one doing nothing make no mistgake, do mistake and learn, that's it. Cheers from France. I enjoyed your video, you're so beautiful people ❤
I love this sweet hardworking family! Lucia is so content to be with her family all the time! She is blessed with this easy going mom and dad who include her in everything! Always smiling and curious! What a wonderful way to grow up!
BEFORE YOU PUT EPOXY ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR...Buy some stain made for concrete/stone. You can't clean the kitchen floor because the discoloration is permanently inside the floor tile which is porous. You can stain over the discoloration. Replace one stain with a better stain. In the US we stain brick pavers and concrete all of the time. Pick a color similar to the original tile and experiment in a location that will be covered by cabinets or shelving. You can't stain the same tile more than once until it's dry and cured. After you have stained the individual tiles and allowed them to cure coat with epoxy. By the way, eliminate the kitchen door and reframe the opening. It's just getting in the way. Now is the best time to do it.
This new adventure in Sicily appears be a healing and renewing life for all of you. Luce can go out into the street and safely discover new things. Luca’s eyes are bright and shining, showing that he’s back in his element again, and loving it. And Sara is “the glue” guiding things along. It’s lovely to see all of your family enjoying life. 😊
After coming across your channel, for travel interests, I started to binge watch your last few years .I fell in love with your charismatic, warm, sincere great personalities. With great interest I watched the renovations, acquisitions of properties, the arrival of beautiful Luce and your ups and downs. Nothing can compare to your channel on TH-cam. You are hard working, interesting, smart, intelligent , warm people whose kind hearts comes through your beautiful faces. I have to add a note to Sarah just last week I was robbed at the airport arriving for a cruise, we were left with no money, credit cards, documents or passport, of course no cruise, but I remembered the episode when you were robbed in South America and how you coped....it gave me strength too...thank you and Happiness and Success in your lives love from Canada but in Italy for few months
What happened to the wall is not a disaster, just a small hiccup in your plans. I am loving your life in Sicily. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Your kitchen table is beautiful. I've never seen one open up like that. Ingenious. Luca, don't worry about the wall. In situations like that, my grandmother would say, "You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet."
Great episode! The yellow velvet chairs are so gorgeous!!!! Luce was so cute pointing to those chairs and her little plastic yellow chair. It will all come together!!!!
Kitchen wall tiles are beautiful - please do not paint them - keep them as original. And your new furniture suits the house - great value too. Well done.
What a privilege watching precious Luce grow and flourish. I love Sundays and your updates. It is looking beautiful. You guys are such hard workers and I know you will have success in all your projects. Thanks for letting us come along for the ride!
I just LOVE it when Luce wants to imitate you too. She's very aware of her surroundings and watches everything you do. I saw driving like Daddy, picking olives like everyone and ends the video just like both of you. Of course she is always smiling!
The velvet mustard chairs are perfecto! It would be so nice to see a tour or walk around your new village, the little streets and historic buildings look fascinating. Thanks for another awesome episode😊😊😊
The furniture is perfect! I love that you picked to use the mustard color to pull from the living room floor for furniture; it is quite beautiful. I hope you can go back to the vintage market for light fixtures and more. What fun! And I love that Luce’ is loving all of the fresh fruits from your land. Seeing her with her chair, I think the town is loving having her and the two of you in the aging community; more youth to sustain the village and bring it back to life. 🥰
What beautiful furniture. That was a lovely place. It will be so homely when you furnish each room. We must not forget little Luce, we are all mesmerised by your beautiful daughter
Love how you call us "beautiful people". That was not a disaster, it was a small problem resulting in a learning opportunity. When you remove bathroom fixtures you should stuff plastic garbage bags with rags inside into the drain holes so that you do not get sewer smell in the house or accidentally drop material into the drain pipe and cause a blockage. Absolutely love you three.
Always a great day when I see your smiles!!! So awesome that you are showing Luce to care for the kitties - and her happiness when she is around them! Thank you for sharing your adventure! Ciao!
Hello Beautiful Family, Luca, what about enlarging the entire bathroom? I don't know what room that's on the other side of the bathroom, but how about making a "toilet room" that expands with a bathtub and additional storage? Don't be discouraged. You and your wife are so positive and amazing.
Tip! If you put a slit in some tennis balls, and put one on each leg of Lucia’s chair it will move around and not scratch the floors. Have a good week. Maureen.
Luce is so adorable. I look forward to these weekly vlogs just so I can see her little smiling face. She brings so much beauty and joy in such a scary world. Thank you for creating this content. God bless you and your family on your journey.
Good morning! So much going on and all of it richly sprinkled with love and Luce’s wonderful smiles and giggles! It doesn’t get much better than that! Love all you are doing and each step shows your amazing foresight and vision. Well done beautiful people! 🤗👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💖👶🏼💖🙏🙏
I wouldn’t worry about small things like that. Floors collapsing would be a problem. That’s just a patch job. Probably won’t be the last one. FYI, you should have a wad of cloth shoved into the sewer stack hole there. Keeps the smell down and keeps debris from falling down. Also keeps the sewer gases from filling the house. You’re both doing a great job recovering the tiles on the floors and walls.
Belated Happy Birthday, Luca! You are doing so well considering what you had gone through! Thank goodness for you and Sara! I am so very glad to see you both so happy, and Luce is a little angel! I love seeing her happy with the cats!🌟 Thank you for taking us to the huge used furniture store in Polermo, that was really beautiful to see, and you got some beautiful furniture there! 🌟
The hole through the wall gave you another idea/option for making the bathroom bigger, just move the wall of the bathroom into the closet and you have a bigger bathroom. ❤
It’s cool to hear you speak more Italian in this episode. And I like that you had those parts without narration…just seeing you pick the olives together in your grove. Btw, two of my brothers married two Italian sisters from Fuscaldo. I was the ring bearer at one of them…super important job!
Luce with those kitties 😻😺😻 is absolutely adorable! I felt sorry for Luca having the small accident with the new plaster. We have an old house too and realize these things happen. God bless you all with His love. My prayers continue for you as you work on all these projects.

You are such a gorgeous family. Thank you for showing us the shops in Palermo and great finds with the furniture. The kitchen table is lovely and goes nice with the tiles. The chairs for the living room match the floor tiles so well. Luca dont worry about the accident with the wall, it happens and can be fixed. It looks like the plaster was put right over the back of the sink brace, which you wouldnt have known about. You did a great job with the floor I was stunned how well that came up. Dont worry if you need to take a break with filming with everything you have coming up. I love seeing you and your progress but not if it gets stressful for you. Take care x
Centro Gamma! My wife and I are renovating a home nearby in Caccamo and just bought some furniture there a few weeks ago. A lot of junk but also some treasures.
I can not believe how cheap your bargains were, specially that beautiful small seat wow! So much stuff there, you could spend all day there. It’s all so well made. The little accident is only minor❤️❤️❤️
What a wonderful life your little girl has. So much love in your family...it is so wonderful to see...truly! Thank you so much for sharing with the world. I would give you thousands of thumbs up if I could, one seems insignificant, but I do it in hopes it helps in some small way. Thank you dear ones!
Sara and Luca, how nice to hear you speaking Italien. Italien is not a language, it is music. And your English, with this wonderful italian accent. It is true, if you don‘t have an Italian in your country, you need to buye one. You are a beautiful familiy with Luce. Good luck and the best for you in everything you may do. Take care.❤
You are making great progress. Love the furniture you bought. Don’t worry about breaking through the wall….it’s nothing in comparison to all you accomplished. Luce….so adorable!! The olives and figs…made my mouth water.
Incredible furniture finds for your 1,000 year old home. Viewing and being there in real life would be heart ❤ 💙 💜 warming. You are on top of things that matter to you. Good on you 😊
I love your choices of furniture!!! It is so much fun to shop in second hand furniture and antique stores! Just a thought, but maybe in order to add light to the bathrooms you could put a grow light for plants to simulate daylight and add a few small plants, that are up high, so they don’t interfere with the small floor space.
Mistakes happen. Oh dear! Not the end of the world 😊😊😊. It can be fixed. Luce is such a beautiful little girl, That smile would melt the most hardened heart.
Hi, from BC, Canada.🥰😍🤩 Luca, I don't think you did anything wrong. Didn't look like you were hitting very hard. if you just tapped, it wouldn't have come off. Double bind. Floor and tiles look great. Sarah you are so wise knowing that a mistake is an opportunity to gather information and that without mistakes, one is not taking enough risks. Brava and bravo you two. The olive grove is wonderful. Love, love, love the furniture.
How perfectly sweet. During the opening intro Luce did her own intro saying this is mama and this is dada , she almost tipped her chair over and still did her intro , I love it! She will probably have her own TH-cam one day! I love the videos and I love where you live , your home is outstanding.
How fun🤗 I would have went crazy shopping in that furniture shop!!! You guys got some wonderful deals on that beautiful furniture that you found❤️ Luce is such a great little shopper! She’s such a little angel 😇 Those figs looked so tasty, mouth watering! I am sorry that I forgot to wish Luca a happy birthday 🎂🎉🎈🎊 I consider it an honor that I share my birthday with the most handsome man on TH-cam. I just wish that I shared the same year! May God continue to bless y’all and keep you in His loving care🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
What a successful trip to Palermo, great finds, the pieces fit perfectly. Great update guys, I'm sure you'd be able to sell any empty houses in your town.👍❤
The yellow velvet chairs are INCREDIBLY perfect/ beautiful for your home ( love how they match your tiles)…. Your entryway little couch is soooo perfect as well! Let’s not forget your beautiful kitchen table ( free 6 chairs) and your china hutch! I cannot believe that ALL fit in your van ( along with the 3 of you!) Thank you for taking us all along with you to Palermo and to the furniture/flea market! I cannot wait till next Sunday to see what your progress is!!! Great video….ciao! Sherry💗
Those living room tiles look like million bucks . What a lovely & practical choice of furniture . Luce is like sunshine that brightens our Sundays . Blessings from North Carolina ❤️❤️
This journey of yours just gets more and more exciting, you are all a breath of fresh air and all things of hope in a world gone insane , thank you precious family ❤️
❤ What a cute divan! Yellow mustard was tops! Very nice dining set and breakfront! Although stressful, it's also amazing to get the second hand items at reasonable prices. They are all exquisite! ❤❤❤
Love the furniture you found. The kitchen table is so unique and well designed and the entrance chase lounger makes such a statement. It will also come in handy to sit on when taking off and putting on shoes if you ever adopt that tradition. Keeping the three of you in my prayers. May God continue to bless your journey. You are loved.
As always, I love your content and have never missed an episode. Frankly, when my kids were Luce's age I was lucky to function, but you two are renovating, harvesting, and scouring second-hand stores for furniture. While watching this episode my mind took me back several years ago to a video where you two, Trent and Allie, and Jordan and Kaylee were traveling in Central America. It seems like you took fresh authentic carbonara to the Nomadic Movement's bus where you all enjoyed a meal together. I guess that's not so rare, but I subscribe to all of your channels and you now have Luce, Leo, and Sadie. It would be nice to see you all reconnect and see how the next generation gets along. I think the children are all within a year of each other in age.
Hello from Kansas ❤please leave kitchen tiles! They still look so nice! It is so much fun to watch you guys fix up your new home! You are doing everything I have been dreaming about forever. I sure hope to see you playing cello again🎉
I love your kitchen table, my mother and father had a more recent build, but it extended just as yours does. My daughter now has it in her home! It’s only 100 years old though. Wonderful to be able to pass on to next generations. So many things from the past are so beautiful and should be used.
Pietro to the rescue! It's good you knew that calling a skilled tradesman would be the best (easiest, fastest) solution to your disaster. I loved to watch you browsing Palermo's winter market. My husband, like Luca, thinks the tool section is a "toy" section.
Everything is fixable..well done Luca on the bathroom floor! Love the face Luce made when she didn't want to sit on that throne! Great furniture choices..well done! ❤️🍁
You both possess great parenting skills….your daughter is going to be an exceptional human being…God Bless. I love your videos, thank you for the fun and the adventures….❤
The bathroom floor looks like new. Well done. The furniture is great and the prices were also great. Slow and steady will get you there. Love from Canada
Such a lovely video, so sweet to see you all picking the olives and then shopping together. All the chairs and the sofa were great finds. Good to see Luce looking after her own chair! Have a great week ahead!
My childhood home in England had a table very similar to the one you just purchased. Our chairs were very formal with fabric seats as it was in our formal dining room. You definitely found some good buys.
I enjoy seeing the beautiful scenery and progress on your house. It is becoming beautiful! And your daughter is beautiful and happy. I hope someone has the kitties spayed and neutered!
The furniture you have found is absolutely beautiful! ❤️ So happy to see your olive grove is doing so well!!! You are both doing such a wonderful job bringing your ancient home, and property back to life! How lucky precious little Lucca is to have the two of you as parents, and such a wonderful place to grow!!!
Love you guys. The house is going to be really beautiful. Hard work yes, but at the end, so rewarding. Wear a dust mask when you work so you don’t breathe in the construction dust, it’s unhealthy, “white lung disease.” The property with the water and hills, olive groves and plantings is stunning. I’m surprised more people from the States aren’t flocking there to buy those One Euro houses. You bought some lovely pieces at the shop. Can’t wait to see how it all comes together. When the house is done you must have another baby. Lucia is so smart and adorable, you make wonderful children, we need another one for her. She has such a great personality. God bless the three of you and your home.
Sympathies with the setback, but overcoming them is part of the journey. What you've done to date is pretty amazing and the furniture you've bought looks beautiful. As always, thank you for sharing.
Love, love, love all the furniture ! Your table is beautiful! And those olives are huge! I sure hope I cab buy some olive oil from you! Thank you for a great video! ❤️❤️❤️

❤🙏🏻👋🏻🤗
How perfectly sweet. During the opening intro Luce did her own intro saying this is mama and this is dada , she almost tipped her chair over and still did her intro , I love it! She will probably have her own TH-cam one day! I love the videos and I love where you live , your home is outstanding.
How fun🤗 I would have went crazy shopping in that furniture shop!!! You guys got some wonderful deals on that beautiful furniture that you found❤️
Luce is such a great little shopper! She’s such a little angel 😇
Those figs looked so tasty, mouth watering!
The furniture is beautiful...what a great find, can't wait to see the bathroom and kitchen done.
The yellow velvet chairs are INCREDIBLY perfect/ beautiful for your home ( love how they match your tiles)…. Your entryway little couch is soooo perfect as well!
Let’s not forget your beautiful kitchen table ( free 6 chairs) and your china hutch!
I cannot believe that ALL fit in your van ( along with the 3 of you!)
Thank you for taking us all along with you to Palermo and to the furniture/flea market!
You didn't have a disaster, you had a discovery!👍❤️
This journey of yours just gets more and more exciting, you are all a breath of fresh air and all things of hope in a world gone insane , thank you precious family ❤️
❤ What a cute divan! Yellow mustard was tops! Very nice dining set and breakfront! Although stressful, it's also amazing to get the second hand items at reasonable prices. They are all exquisite! ❤❤❤
Love the furniture selections you made. As always, the cutest baby girl ever!
Your daughter is such a happy beautiful child. She is living a good life. ❤️
Amen
Luce is growing so fast. Awwww. Thank you for another great video 🩷💜🇮🇹🇩🇪
🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
You have such a happy baby 👧🙂 keep up the good work. Accidents happen when renovating.
Italy is my favorite country!! History, art, architecture, food, chianti and you beautiful people…love from Mexico City🌹Pili 🙏🏻♥️
I love the way that Luce was comparing her little yellow chair to the ones you've just bought. She's so beautiful! 😚
Those look like great olives guys! And Luce is talking! 💛🏡👍😎🇺🇲
You both possess great parenting skills….your daughter is going to be an exceptional human being…God Bless. I love your videos, thank you for the fun and the adventures….❤
Great furniture choices, the house is really coming together.
You scored on the furniture..!! Love your choices..
Lucce é a bebê mais encantadora da Sicília. A mobília é maravilhosa, tudo de muito bom gosto. Parabéns ao lindo casal e filhinha.❤
Nice finds on the chairs and table.
Lovely trees bearing lovely gifts. Also lovely furniture.
Absolutely love your furniture picks. So classy!
Oh… the baby girl is so pretty.❤
I am 77 years old and love shopping like this! And you got wonderful deals! Congratulations!
The vintage market was amazing lots to see. I absolutely love the furniture you found. Its all coming together just excited for you
The furniture you have found is absolutely beautiful! ❤️ So happy to see your olive grove is doing so well!!! You are both doing such a wonderful job bringing your ancient home, and property back to life! How lucky precious little Lucca is to have the two of you as parents, and such a wonderful place to grow!!!
I love the furniture ❤ beautiful 🌻😘
Yes 💯
Thank you! 🤗 ❤️
Beautiful furniture everything is coming together.
Love your journey to the antique shop!
You will finally manage to rejuvenate your town❤
Los felicito, sean muy felices es su nueva casa. Cariños desde Chile
Older homes always brings issues from time to time. The reward of hard work will be a beautiful home to raise that beautiful baby girl in!
Luce is so sweet walking around with her chair. I love watching you build your new home. Xx
god bless this beautiful family
Sympathies with the setback, but overcoming them is part of the journey. What you've done to date is pretty amazing and the furniture you've bought looks beautiful. As always, thank you for sharing.
Love, love, love all the furniture ! Your table is beautiful! And those olives are huge! I sure hope I cab buy some olive oil from you! Thank you for a great video! ❤️❤️❤️
Love the table ❤
😍😍😍
I have embraced the phrase, "Mistakes come from inexperience and experience comes from mistakes." I loved your supportive responses to each other!!
