My first trip to Costa Rica was in 1999 and I have been there more than 40 times since then; the last trip was in April, 2021. This video was so familiar.. The first 11 minutes show where I have walked and driven many, many times. Then at the end, the San Pedro Mall is a place I have visited numerous times. Thank you so much!!!

Yes! I believe for COVID they require previous reservations but the entrance fee is cheap. I actually really like the museums in San Jose, they're not huge but very well done and put together. The Jade Museum and Museum of Gold are two other excellent ones.

I love this video. If you had made a right at the McDonalds at the 4:50 time stamp and gone 2 blocks and made a left you'd have passed my dentist's office. At the 5:35 time stamp you mentioned the old int'l airport which I believe was also called "El Coco". It was also great seeing my old 'hood and La Fuente de la Hispanidad in and around "La U" (near Hotel Ave de Paraiso) in San Pedro, time stamp 14:10. This video makes me want to book a trip back down there. :)

Haha yes it is! It's very small and doesn't really have much though but they do have the entry way.

Nice video, but somebody went through a red light at 7:21. It happens. Red lights often seem to just pop out of nowhere. It's a good thing the driver wasn't Ubering. The passenger might have reported the driver.

Great drive thru! I was considering staying in the Sabana district when I finally go to San José. I was surprised how quiet downtown-actually the whole city-seemed. I expected the city to be a lot more congested. Were you driving on a particularly quiet day?

Yes, we did this drive through around 6 AM on a Saturday to avoid running into traffic so we would be able to make a smooth driving video.

At 7:20, to the left, is a very nice hostel, Casa Colón. We got the best rooms during our honeymoon. It was way better than the crazy crap Hotel Europa that sounded nice but had a giant roach

Your tour was informational and well done! This is a beautiful city. But I'm sorry to hear that the CCP has spread its tentacles into the govt of Costa Rica. It's not a good thing and wouldn't happen if something wasn't definitely in it for them. But here's hoping for the best.🫶
