The City Living pack is DEFINETELY worth it. I bought a while ago, and I was even surprised to how good it was! It added so much fun stuff in the game! Singing, Karaoke, basketball, art galleries, apartaments, outdoor events, and much more!
Honestly i was thinking about getting it and i was thinking if it was worth it! after reading this i think i'll buy it :)

@@georgiagardner353 city living imo is way better than cat n dogs. if you're not a pet person you won't like it. its boring, the pets are demanding and annoying, the vet is buggy and the build items are mediocre. city living is an actual expansion pack. it adds SO much to the game and theres many fun things to do. also the details of the city, apartments and the citizens are amazingg

Because roommates is what we want we probably won't be getting it. EA has a history of doing the opposite. Family players wanted toddlers so we were given "Get Together" although personally I did believe that EP helped one of the many problems because there were hardly things to do in a group before GT!

Eh, lately I only play it when I feel inspired, and wanna build something... anyone know how to force an inspired moodlet IRL? I've tried staring at knives and piles of blank canvas and scratching my chin then pointing in the air while schowering, but none of its working.
if you look at the trailer properly it isn't really an apartment but rather the penthouse of an apartment. i suspect you won't be able to edit or even explore the other floors seeing as how the sims 4 engine was probably not designed to cope with it.

City Living was cool! It served as a great graduation gift! My favorite parts about City Living were the penthouses, the fireworks, and the festivals! I never got a chance to experience city living in the Sims so this was a pleasant surprise. I'm also getting nostalgia from living in an apartment during my childhood. City Living is a great change of pace! 🎊🎊🎉🎉😁😁

+Annette - Toddlers and babies are such a pain in the ass. I had a baby for the first time in Sims3 and that little bitch never was happy and always bitching. Then it turned into a toddler and I had to spend most of my day making the brat happy and teaching it stuff. They made a good choice by not having it in. If you want a toddler so bad play sims3 and you will feel the same way as me

Yeah but the Sims 4 is releasing expansion packs at a much slower rate than the sims 3 did. If the next expansion pack really is a family lifestyle pack with toddlers we would have to wait like a year for it. And we would still be missing seasons and pets and celebrities

I personally don't want the sims people to release all features at once. I don't mind seasons and university coming out in different packs.. if they added everything all at once there's be nothing left to add, nothing to get excited for.
That's what I am thinking, plus people seem to be too fixed on OLD pack ideas. I think it's great they are taking a turn with TS4 and giving us new things that we've never had before. It seems like they are still following with tradition with the ideas in a way, like this pack seems to be mixture of a few packs from TS3 and TS2, so I do think Seasons and pets will come, but I am going to assume they aren't going to come in a standalone pack, they'll probably be made with other elements. I personally like this but there's tons of people who seem too lost in old ways, which is fine I suppose but I think it just ruins your own experience? I feel being a true fan means you're patient and understanding with the wants of everyone in the community as a whole, and sticking with it even if you don't see what you personally wanted, instead of whining that something is missing and how much you hate the game. TS4 has won me over in some bits and others have made me question, I still play it. It's better to expect less and be blown away instead, but that's just me.

OK, we get it! everybody is so disappointed that there are no toddlers /open world/pets/seasons. so what! it's only been two years and pets and seasons are coming either way. As for toddlers, they weren't so great in the previous games, I myself honestly hated that life stage and skipped it as soon as possible. I was so happy when I found out there won't be any in ts4. And the open world? we didn't have one in ts2 and we survived, it was my favourite Sims game actually! Cars were more like tokens even in that game, so even if we don't get any in ts4,I'm OK with it.
So in conclusion, please stop being salty about it, if you don't like what has become of the game, don't buy it, unsubscribe from this channel, unfollow on the social medias and play the games you love, don't spoil the fun for those of us who like this incarnation of the game.

I remember one time in the Sims 3, I walked my character over to the neighbour's house to try and ask her out on a date. When I got there, I found an empty bowl of "Brain Freeze a la Mode" on the table, and she had turned into a zombie. So my character then had to book a taxi and go all the way across town to the elixir store and buy an anti-zombification potion, before taking that back and trying to give it to her, without getting bitten himself. After that happened, they entered a relationship.
Now that was a fucking adventure. Granted it was an adventure fueled by expansion packs, but I don't feel like any amount of expansion will help The Sims 4. The fact that every lot is separated by a loading screen makes the world feel so sterile and lifeless. In the Sims 3, you could take your dog for a walk at nighttime and witness a break in, or buy a tent and sleep in a field before befriending a fucking unicorn, because the world was one big, living, breathing world where things happened.
THESE are the sorts of adventures that you remember, that stick in your mind and make the game memorable, that really gives you an emotional bond with the characters you create. The Sims 4 doesn't offer that to me.

Candy Queen couldn't have said it better myself. I have a whole load of expansions for the sims 3 but my computer crashes all the time with them. So now I'm just stuck with the sim four. Don't get me wrong it is fun just not as exiting at the sims 3.

I just wished they would put some stuff we had in the previous sims EP or GP that was supposed to obviously be in the base game , in the sims 4 base game and make new type of expansions packs ... they didnt learned from their mistakes.. i feel like its like the sims 3 or 2 all over again but with different graphics

The City is gorgeous, those windows are ♥, the colored rugs, the bubble blower, the graffiti, the fireworks, sparklers, apartments, the new foods, new careers, or at least one new one. I'm hoping we haven't seen the festivals yet, since all that was there was food carts, basketball, and a violinist trying to make some tips. :x Hoping that was the "street market", and yeah. Looks AMAZING, EA. Like someone else said, it's not generations/toddlers, but it LOOKS GOOD. ♥♥♥ I cannot wait for November! and for more information. EEP!

I don't believe there's any cars in this expansion they would have showed it in the trailer, plus none of their worlds are built for cars which is kinda of annoying
I don't think this ep has cars either and I don't really need cars in my game, but when you say the word city I think about high buildings and big roads with cars
The more closed world is what really took my interest away from sims 4 ;-; i was looking forward to see if they continued remaking car brands from sims 2 or 3, like they do with the goths and i think the altos.
Most packs ( I'm referring to famous mostly ) trailers usually have good trailers and make the pack look SUPER fun, but aren't as exciting ( I still love the packs though ) but this pack show ALL of the things you can do, and it's really fun, and has a lot of activities making this one of the best packs. As well as seasons, cats and dogs,

1. There will never be cars due to the lack of their use and incompatibility with a non-open world.
2. If there aren't toddlers two years into the game, there probably never will.
They had cars in Sims 2 and you didn't have a whole lot of use for those, but they did them. I at least would like a car pool system. I hate my sim walking off a side walk.

Just want to mention this tho: why would cars make this game better? They're simply just objects anyway. ALSO: they're likely still working on toddlers. Developing lots of new animation and simulation for a life stage takes lots of time. I hope you all are not such dumbasses who are not aware of this XD

@@filiouuuu it's a HUGE difference. You live in apartments to begin with. The world feels like NYC lol and I absolutely love the views of the apartments. It feels so realistic. Definitely worth every penny. I own 6 expansion packs and I only live in apartments.

Yes love the new trailer, cant wait for expansion pack. but I can't help but noticing EA is trying to get off the hook. It's like they're trying to combine Late night (Apartments, food stands or trucks), Seasons (Food eating competitions and fireworks) and ambitions (karaoke machine) I swear this better not mean that there will be no seasons or at the very least vampires. Time to work EA.
I don't really see how people say they are combining them. There is no weather, none of the career based items from ambitions which is the main focus. They're only just adding some of the small activities they had in them, and putting them somewhere else.
Well its not that this new expansion pack is similar to all those old ones, its just that since they have added all these missed features, I'm afraid they won't care enough to add the bigger features later on, like weather, or supernatural beings, or similar careers to the ones I'm ambitions. (in other words they took some of the best features of those Sims 3 expansion/stuff packs, and smashed it all together just so we wouldn't complain about the things we most anymore. Like I said in the beginning, they're trying to get off the hook for slacking.)
I suppose I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think its about being lazy and slacking. They haven't just taken some features from those packs and crammed them into this one making no sense because people want them. Playing basketball in a city fits, festivals in a city fits and doing karaoke in a city makes sense. I don't think they wouldn't add a big feature like weather for example because festivals are already in the game, or more ambition-styled careers because they already have something as small as karaoke. It just doesn't make sense.
I get what you're saying, and its not that none of these things make sense with city life because they do. I'm sure this will be a great expansion pack, and I'm not saying they're slacking with this particular one. When I said they were trying to make up for slacking, I meant in general, with Sims 4. They were much more productive in sims 3, and I just feel like they really dont care what the people want anymore. I'm not gonna be one of those people that starts whining about toddlers because I've pretty much accepted that they'll just never add them. but there's things that could easily be improved, like extra loading screens when the location is right next to your Sims, or small things like that, and they just dont listen.
Weird_Girl ^_^ But the thing is, what you (and by you I don't just mean you, but us as customers) might consider as something "small" like removing a loading screen really isn't that simple. It's the foundation of the game and how it is set up. They just can't change it - at least not easily and certainly not anytime soon. And it may not seem like it all the time, but honestly, they really do listen. People wanted more things for children so they done a Stuff Pack just for them. People wanted to have restaurants in the way we did in Sims 2 and we got that. And apartments have been one of the most requested things that players want, and we are now getting that also. It may not seem like they're listening to some because most of the things people want are big features like toddlers, seasons and pets. These things take a huge amount of time to do, and they can't talk about them because its future content.
Keyboards, apartments, banging on the wall, sims 3 stands, fireworks, new clothes, lifts, basketball graffiti and protests?! Woo!! A good amount of variety to this pack I am excited to buy it!!!!!!!

I hope the gameplay for this expansion pack is as good as EA Maxis's marketing strategies. If this expansion pack is anything as disappointing as the previous two, I'm done with TS4 for good. I know I'm not just speaking for myself when I say that I've been a fan of The Sims since the first series and wanted very much to like and support TS4 but I'm done being frustrated. We literally TELL you what we want and you ignore it-giving us anything but. The last time a company (without calling any names) was this inflexible and ignored its customers, their stock prices fell less than half its value and became one of the top 10 most hated companies in America. Would love to see an older more rundown part of the city added for the criminal / vampire element to hang out in. Dive bars, biker bars, ink parlors, gang/criminal element w/ added "careers".

Idk, the expansion seems good but i don't see much features tbh. Just apartments and some random food truck shit but nothing extensive. The Sims 3's team were really huge with expansions, if they were to release one thing it would come with a whole lot of other small or big things

Also, i don't care how hard EA works to make a game honestly, it's their job and they gain millions by doing it, they need to listen their costumers.
