For such a new area it looks like they really didn't get the storm water drainage correct. It looks like it's 100 mm deep in many areas.

The deepest part of my walk seemed to be about 300mm. It would have been deeper on the roadway.
Thanks for watching my video of the heavy rain during the flooding.

You might have forgotten the flooding in Kaetsu in 1998.

I looked into it. Niigata Prefecture has experienced several floods in the past 50 years. The main area of the 1998 Shimoetsu flood was in Agano City, and this time the same area was hit by the Hanegoshi flood 55 years ago in Murakami City and Sekikawa Village.
Agano City and Murakami City are more than 50 km apart, so I have used the first time in 50 years.
I apologize if the expression is confusing.

@@albegatajapanwalk8113 you are right that it was the worst for 50 years and I realized after posting, but there was some very heavy rain in 1998 - and it was bad depending on your location.

I give you a lot of credit for going out in this rain. I live in the 🏜️ desert and we don't get much rain but when we do it's sometimes harder than this.

I was also worried about my return home, not expecting such a downpour of rain. It was dangerous.
Thanks for watching my rain video.
