Terrible video: Krita is 100% against AI - you could have not been chosen something more worse 😡 Just read the official statement from Krita foundation.
@LuciferMorningstar-vl2qu it does matter!! Also these plugins are far from being "amazing" because the foundation and Krita community insults and hate such plugin developer to the maximum. So the core code of Krita will never have further developments to support new AI plugin features which are really required since year's. And it is even not allowed to ask questions about plugin interface for such developers. At the end you have some limited plugin functionality and it doesn't make sense to develop such plugins further more - It is a waste of time because Krita is almost a dead project. The only solution would be a fork of Krita.
This is not an alternative and I don’t thing you know how adobe generative AI works in photoshop at all. As someone who uses Adobe professionally this is kind of an insulting video. If your video was about general AI image creation it would have been fine not sure why you felt the need to talk about Abobe when you clearly have never used it and are just regurgitating what you read somewhere. Sorry bother for venting but sick of people talking out of their ass on TH-cam - not to say Adobe does not deserve some flack - because they do.
Hey there! 😊 I actually use Adobe products professionally and have been using Photoshop for years. In fact, everything in this video was made using Adobe products. From what I’ve seen, Adobe AI in Photoshop does things like expanding images, upscaling, removing, or adding content-and Krita AI can handle these too! Plus, Krita AI lets you explore features like scribble-to-image and coloring sketches using any model you want and it's Uncensored. We can mix and match models and checkpoints in Krita AI. Adobe’s AI is convenient and has some extra features, but it’s costly and controlled by Adobe! Krita AI, on the other hand, is open-source, free, and a great option for those who want to explore without breaking the bank. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s exciting to see what it offers! Hope this clears things up. 😊
I get what your are saying about Adobe, it’s not costly though for the photography plan, I Use Lightroom classic and photoshop to edit photos which is a killer combo as I Lightroom handles all my key wording exporting to social and web site as well as editing, I’m sure Krita can handle photos just fine but I use generative fill to complement the image something other AIi tools do not do at all, they are good for generating content but clumsy for object removal. I just think it’s a bad angle to go against Adobe for a tool that is not even close to the workflow I need and high quality. If you were talking about it as its own stand alone product would have been better.
Krita AI Diffusion is without a doubt the alternative to Photoshop Generative Fill, if not better in terms of output quality. It's harder to use, slower, and requires time configuring it to get quality results though. However, there is no better inpaint option for local generation, i've tried them all. The other generative fill plugins for photoshop are not good and still cost money. There is one working ps to comfy pipeline but it is not nearly as well integrated as Krita.
@ I sell a lot of images using Adobe generative fill to complement my photography, in my case it works very well, but we all have different expectations and requirements. I will check out Krita as commenting further without giving a chance is wrong on my part.
