I treasure the cd of this Eroica, along with a superbe Symphony n.4, as one of my dearest things. It's an incredible performance and a spiritual experience, which is not uncommon with Giulini. "Sempre cantare" he used to say. And hear how the Wiener sing here. It's magnifico!
